That being said, The patio desperately needs fans for air flow... As beautiful as it was there is no air movement on the patio ... The patio could really benefit from fans, even misters.“

“What a special & amazing restaurant. We had an amazing experience. Probably the best service I’ve had in Dallas. I am confident that all the servers would take great care of you, but would highly recommend Teressa. She was great at guiding us thru the menu. She was very knowledgeable and very thoughtful on her recommendations. Our table was never dirty (they did a fantastic job clearing our table & making sure we had fresh plates and silverware for each course). Will definitely be back!“

“First time trying Jolaf rice and i feel like it’s superior to any rice i have had previously. The seasoning was so full and balanced with the Pulled pork i ordered being succulent and flavorful. moist and a healthy portion for the price. Definitely will eat again and recommend to all my friends.“

“Great food at the new location at Cypress Waters. Terrific hospitality- we enjoyed meeting Miriam herself as she came to greet us. Food is mild but flavorful. My favorite is the pork belly taco I got on the sampler plate. My husband enjoyed the short rib tacos as well. Ample portions as well.“

“Hidden gem! The best tacos I’ve had since Monterrey in central Mexico. Quaint family-run restaurant. I had tacos pastor tacos barbacoa. Sprinkled with cilantro, onions, and some drops of lime. Best tacos in Dallas!

“4/19/25. The general manager, Ish, is a treasure! I have never seen a manager more engaged with the customers and his staff. He seated us and took our drink order and stopped by several times to check on us. You could tell how much he is loved by all the customers greeting him with hugs. He is always impeccably dressed and his signature hair is fabulous. We were seated by the bar and I’ve never seen a more efficient group behind the bar. The bartender was making multiple drinks from the extensive drink menu with ease. His bar back was on top of it as well. We only wish we were closer (we’re north of Denton) to go more often instead of just when the Dallas Stars are playing.“

“First time in TX and I had heard the Tex-Mex was amazing - this has me CONVINCED. I want to try EVERYTHING on the menu, but I’m only here for a wedding! Grandmas soup HIT, and the brisket tacos will be something I crave after I leave. Thank y’all for the hospitality and great food!!“

“Was craving some tacos and found them on google omg thank god I stopped cuz they’re tacos de tripa were DELICIOUS!!! Fried to perfection!! The rice and beans were very good as well. “Must go. Great spot, the Tortas here (not your sister) are next level!!! Simplicity is sometimes the best; not an overly complicated menu, every item has a picture, great for illiterate people like myself.
The bread is fresh, and toasted perfectly. The fries are great with good seasoning.
My recommendation: La Especial (substitute the American cheese with Queso Fresco)!“
