“It was a hot Tuesday afternoon when I went. I went for take out as wanted to have a working lunch. After I ordered sat at the bar to wait for food. I was offered a glass of ice water which I was not expecting but was great. I really appreciated that. Ambience was good. People were good. The food I ordered was good. The green Salsa and chips that came with the food were good.“

“What a special & amazing restaurant. We had an amazing experience. Probably the best service I’ve had in Dallas. I am confident that all the servers would take great care of you, but would highly recommend Teressa. She was great at guiding us thru the menu. She was very knowledgeable and very thoughtful on her recommendations. Our table was never dirty (they did a fantastic job clearing our table & making sure we had fresh plates and silverware for each course). Will definitely be back!“

“First time trying Jolaf rice and i feel like it’s superior to any rice i have had previously. The seasoning was so full and balanced with the Pulled pork i ordered being succulent and flavorful. moist and a healthy portion for the price. Definitely will eat again and recommend to all my friends.“

“Great food at the new location at Cypress Waters. Terrific hospitality- we enjoyed meeting Miriam herself as she came to greet us. Food is mild but flavorful. My favorite is the pork belly taco I got on the sampler plate. My husband enjoyed the short rib tacos as well. Ample portions as well.“

“Hidden gem! The best tacos I’ve had since Monterrey in central Mexico. Quaint family-run restaurant. I had tacos pastor tacos barbacoa. Sprinkled with cilantro, onions, and some drops of lime. Best tacos in Dallas!

“4/19/25. The general manager, Ish, is a treasure! I have never seen a manager more engaged with the customers and his staff. He seated us and took our drink order and stopped by several times to check on us. You could tell how much he is loved by all the customers greeting him with hugs. He is always impeccably dressed and his signature hair is fabulous. We were seated by the bar and I’ve never seen a more efficient group behind the bar. The bartender was making multiple drinks from the extensive drink menu with ease. His bar back was on top of it as well. We only wish we were closer (we’re north of Denton) to go more often instead of just when the Dallas Stars are playing.“

“Was craving some tacos and found them on google omg thank god I stopped cuz they’re tacos de tripa were DELICIOUS!!! Fried to perfection!! The rice and beans were very good as well. My husband had chicharron, barbacoa, and trompo tacos and they were also very tasty the seasoning is on point!! We will definitely be back!!!“

“Good price for a fair amount of food. I happened to go at a point where I was the only customer in the restaurant, well at least for about 20 minutes until like always a big crowd gang stalks and follows me in. Restaurant is small and so is the parking lot so I could see that being an issue if you go at the wrong time. Also, watch out for that salsa, it's dangerous.“

“Must go. Great spot, the Tortas here (not your sister) are next level!!! Simplicity is sometimes the best; not an overly complicated menu, every item has a picture, great for illiterate people like myself.
The bread is fresh, and toasted perfectly. The fries are great with good seasoning.
My recommendation: La Especial (substitute the American cheese with Queso Fresco)!“
