“Over priced for the quality of the food. The food has been better in the past. The pie is still great. We had to request ketchup and addition napkins. The other servers were unwillingly to help our server . It was lunch time and they were not that busy. You know 10 years ago the restaurants encountered folks to use credit cards, now the restaurants charges you a fee for using them. I'm thinking that I should start deducting the 3% from the tip and make the restaurants make up the difference. I always tip and most of the time over 20%. I would like this restaurant consider offering free coffee when you order their high price pie.“

“Sorry it's taken me a few days to get this review done. I'm just woken up from a tiramisu coma. I believe my wife who ordered it and Tiffany that made it are for some reason conspiring to murder me. It's been a few years since I have had the delight of eating the tiramisu from Baked and Sconed as they don't make it very often. For my birthday my wife says that she had a surprise for me and proceeds to hand me a turkey roasting pan covered in foil. It was so heavy I almost dropped it. I thought she was being cute and had packed the new wrench set that I was wanting in the pan based on the weight that can only be described as boat anchorish. As I peeled back the layer of foil, a golden glow hit me in the face. It was like the scene out of Pulp Fiction when Samuel Jackson opened the briefcase and showed Marcellus Wallace's soul. I immediately took this sacred package into the kitchen rummaged through the silverware drawer to find the biggest spoon that would fit into my mouth and began to hover over it growling and elbowing anyone that came close to me. My child wanted a bite, and I scared her off so bad that I haven't seen her in a couple days. The taste can only be described as what it must be like to have an angel take a dump directly on my tongue. It was glorious. Hats off to Tiffany for doing it right as always and for not charging extra for the forklift rental that it certainly must have taken to get it into the car.“

“So me and my wife having eating at a lot of restaurants recently have been on a mission to try to eat at places we don't normally eat at. So after driving around three cities we landed on Denny's.

We haven't had that diner feeling in a while and I remember places like village inn and Denny's being 24 hours coffee shops and having a good place where you can hang out as a youth and smoke cigarettes.

That vibe is totally changed and it is definitely now more sit down. Diner which happened to be closing at 11:00 on a Friday we come to find out as we sat down at 9:30.

I will say for the thought process looking at the menu a lot of sugar up front. You are bombarded with sugar but when you move over to the entrees you are hit with some fairly decent prices for the offerings.

I went ahead and went with the 8 oz sirloin with two sides. Sirloin with two sides . I substituted my broccoli and bread for the choco Nana pancakes. I went ahead and got the oven baked macaroni and cheese for my other side.

My wife got the berry liege waffles that came with bacon and eggs.

My wife said the bacon was perfect and it was very crispy. No extra grease residue. Definitely a must get item. The eggs were average fluffy but nothing extra special to call home to about. The waffles were good. They had a thin crispy sugary coating along with the caramel glaze and fresh strawberries and blueberries. It was delicious. However, she wishes the berries had been cut more recently. They look like they had been sitting out for a little bit.

My steak was cooked how I asked which was medium rare. The steaks being a sirloin, it's not the best cut of meat, but for $14 you are actually getting a pretty fair shake of a deal more relative in line of steak prices of yesteryears. Sorry I make that joke because Texas Roadhouse is $22 so $32 for a steak so think about that. The mac and cheese was fairly good. I definitely think it was oven baked like they said. The pancakes were slamming. I needed some of the chocolate nest to go with the banana and buttermilk pancakes and everything was really good.

Now for the decor these coffee mugs were fantastic. I mean take it a selfie calling it a mugshot chef's kiss.

Also for large groups of six or more, the tables that flow between both sides of the restaurant are very cool and I think very unique.

As always, we don't really review the service, but the speed times for the order to the kitchen to the table were very long over 28 minutes. There was some issues with table settings and having the tools to eat but there was a lot going on.

You definitely enjoy diner food. You would like the selections. At least what we tried today. I would come back again. Definitely not closer to closing time. Maybe more when there's more energy from the staff.“

“Parking: I had a rib plate with chicken crispers, broccoli, and corn on the cob. The broccoli was slightly overcooked. The corn was great once I scrapped off the unrequested special seasoning.
My daughter had brisket quesadillas. She was very happy with that.
Our waitress was phenomenal. Very pleasant, She pretty much anticipated our every need.“

“Never been to Texas and I visited with my family recently and had a young lady as my server named Alyx. She went absolutely above and beyond even though my husband was being extremely picky and the kids were were being loud. She made our experience memorable and I really hope to have her again when we visit. I will definitely be requesting her!“

“Stopped in on Friday April 4th! I eat BBQ all over the state and have tried several of the Top places! This is hands down the best! This is what I think of when I think Texas BBQ! The brisket was best I have ever had! If I could have eaten the bone on the ribs, I would have and that Jalapeno Sausage, WOW! Sides were excellent as well. Best Beans I have ever had! “My fiancé and I sat at the bar and enjoyed a wonderful experience with an amazing bartender who was enthusiastic and well kept and did a great job. Food, and atmosphere was all excellent. My experience however, was soured when another (slightly disheveled looking), bartender came up after our original bartender finished for the evening. I asked him to make me a hot toddy. He explained to me that he only had access to cold tea and could not make me a hot toddy. That does not fly with me when I can order food from the bar. The bar should be able to get some hot water from the kitchen to make me a hot toddy. I was annoyed and promptly asked for the check paid and left.“

“I came two days ago with my two boys and my husband. The food was amazing, we were surprised with the variety of dishes, we couldn't stop eating, we didn't eat nothing else the rest of the day, it was a wonderful recommendation by Mateo, he was our server a week ago at a Mexican restaurant and then he went above and beyond again, he was hosting, but he brought our drinks because our server was busy. “Love cottonpatch but today was not a favorite. I am glutenfree, got small salad and hamburger on it. Mostly inedible, burger very dry, i requested cheese on it, got none. Lettuce was wimpy. I have ordered before and was good. Also, i am the person that would always get dessert, no gluten free dessert. Please consider gf dessert. Banana pudding, gf graham crackers on side? “Hoot and Annie’s speakeasy is the best in the Austin area. And I have been to most of the speakeasies in the Austin area. The drinks are fabulous, the atmosphere is just what you want in a speakeasy, dark with great music playing. They also do different themes throughout the year. Right now it’s the Harry Potter theme which is one of my faves. I definitely suggest going here.“
