“This was some of the best sushi I've ever eaten. We ordered 6 pcs of toro as an appetizer and my cousin ordered the Omakase roll (chef's choice)... and it was an all toro roll! It was AMAZING! There were 6 of us dining, and everyone really enjoyed the meal. Aside from the Omakase roll, my other favorites were the Napa Valley Roll and the Salmon Lover roll. (I'm allergic to shellfish, so I couldn't taste everything we all ordered, but there wasn't a piece left on a plate when we were done). I wish we had a place like this where we live in Maryland!“

Came to Austin to see family and the total solar eclipse, but after family Soto's took the prize. (Sorry Austin, you may be a great place for other reasons but when cloudy you're not a very good place to witness the TSE). Soto's, however, is a great place to go for some expertly prepared sushi accompanied by an education about saki. Loved our server who was our saki sommelier. He let us taste three different selections, each with its own characteristics. One knocked it out of the park. Absolutely loved it. So sign me, David "ASS" (A Saki Sampler:) M.“

“I love this place. We usually go several times during the month. We love our Cosmopolitan drinks always made with our favorite Grey Goose Vodka. The food is amazing. I’m not really into spicy but here I can handle it. Last but no least… the service! The customer service. Fast, kind, always with a smile open to help and give you advises. They are so skilled and knowledgable. Waiters knows al the plates, and tastes. Also huge shout out to my Venezuelan friend. He is a bus boy and he is always goes above and beyond. “After exhaustive decision making and a recommendation I decided to visit Tuscano for my birthday dinner. Made a reservation and was a few minutes late(but within the time window) and the staff were very welcoming. We were seating and were delivered by far the best Italian bread I’ve had since moving to Austin. The Burrata Caprese was an excellent starter. Our mains were the Chicken Marsala and Brisket Bolognese. My Marsala was amazing and had an excellent flavor. I did get a bite of the Bolognese, may even give that a go next time. Our waiter extremely friendly and the bus staff were equally attentive. We’ll be back!“

“Torchy's is a street taco specialist that started up as a food truck in Austin and has now expanded to over 90 restaurants across the States including this place on Whitestone Blvd. in Cedar Park. They have a fair sized indoor seating area as well as outdoor tables. You can do take-away and delivery as well. Menu features a few not-taco and side items along with their signature list soft tacos that are really good. We had dinner here recently amongst friends, tried 6-7 of their different tacos, let's just say that nobody complained and we gladly finished them all. Torchy's is a neat place that is family friendly and a good spot to meet up with friends. Prices are reasonable, range of taco options good and they seem to know what they are doing in the kitchen. Would gladly eat here again and do take-away for meals at home.“

“My wife and I travel frequently to Austin and have for a number of years. With two of our children here, we have dined out at many of Austin's finest restaurants. I am a partner in a number of businesses in Sonoma County, California, including golf courses, theaters and a restaurant. I am rarely motivated to write a restaurant review, particularly a glowing review. My wife found Oz. Tap House online and it was very close to our hotel. My personal experience with tap houses is that they have great beer, but mediocre food and generally less than mediocre service. I went online and looked at the menu, still not particularly enthusiastic. But I decided to place a dinner order for my wife and I and was immediately blown away by the online ordering system. Virtually every menu item can be custom ordered in a dizzying variety of ways. I even remarked to my wife that it was the finest online ordering software that I had ever seen. But ordering is one thing and execution is another. My wife ordered the Oz. House Burger (Beef), cooked medium, substituting lettuce wrap for the bun and adding avocado with a small avocado jalapeno side salad. Again, the customization options were many. I ordered the Charcuterie Pretzel and a Side Caesar Salad, with no croutons. I knew the restaurant was only a couple of minute drive, but even then the speed of the announcement of the projected pickup time and the time itself was amazing; less than 15 minutes. When I picked up the meals at curbside, I told the waitress how impressed I had been with the online ordering system and she thanked me and told me she would have to tell her husband. Turns out Krista and her husband, Sean, own and operate the restaurant. I had assumed with the level of sophistication that it must be a franchise or chain, but no, Oz. is a true mom and pop restaurant. When leaving I told Krista that the proof would be in (i) whether the delivered food matched the order and (ii) the quality of the food. I had barely started eating when my wife announced that her salad was spectacular and the burger one of the best she had ever had. My meal was every bit as impressive. Again, uncharacteristically for me, I called Krista (even though the restaurant was hopping and I knew she was busy), just to tell her that the food was as good or better than the service. This is as advertised: true farm-to-market fare, exceedingly fresh, expertly prepared as ordered and quickly delivered. Yes, Oz. may not have McDonald's prices, but it has infinitely superior food, expertly prepared and efficiently delivered. We admittedly didn't even try what was probably the standout feature of the restaurant: the beer. I assume if the restaurant part of the tap house was spectacular, the beer side of it must be even more so. Next time. Do yourself a favor and try the Oz. Tap House. My very best wishes to Krista and Sean on a very successful business in a tough industry.“

“This restaurant has amazing food. Every time we’ve been we’ve enjoyed our meal. My daughter loves sushi so we go occasionally. My favorite is an off menu roll called Monica Vegas. Their cold Lychee sake is to die for.“

“I love everything about Flat Creek Estate--the grounds, the variety of wine and the food. They always have fun events--like the bazaar Thanksgiving weekend, special tastings. “Yesterday, Sat. May 20,2023 we celebrated my wife Nicki turning 70. The level of customer service was outstanding. We had 70 people on the patio. The buffet style food set up, drink station, desert table was fantastic and efficient. All the food was excellent. They had a microphone available for us to use when talking to the whole group. Many favorable comments from our guests. Special shout out to Shelby, the cake lady!! The cake and cupcakes were super and were set up in attractive display. Britany was our head server. She and her staff worked hard and efficiently, catering to our guests requests/needs. I would highly recommend the Lighthouse to anyone for occasions like this. During the planning for the party I had many questions/requests. They were all met with "sure you can do that" or "we can do that". Robin and Samantha made their experience and expertise readily available to me at all times. It was a great help and much appreciated. The "happy birthday Nicki" display atop the lighthouse visible from the parking lot was a really cool. Robin and Samantha and their entire staff made this the special occasion that I wanted it to be. I am glad I chose the Lighthouse for this special occasion.“

“It may look like a random restaurant at a pit stop, but Saigon is our favorite Asian joint in the Austin area. We make a 30 minute trip just for it.It's small, family run and the food is just delicious.Steamed pork dumplings are so perfectly airy and balanced it's ridiculous.Owners are sweet and kind and put a lot of effort to assure you enjoy your meal.“

“We got the chili and shrimp quesadilla, steak and mushroom quesadilla, and the tinga chicken rellenos. I thought the quesadillas were really good and would go again just for them especially since we went during happy hour and so the starters were cheaper. The tinga chicken rellenos was a bit more disappointing, still pretty good, but I wouldn't get them again. We went at 6 pm on Friday and there was a lot of people so it took a while to get seated and the food to come out but it was worth it the food was so yummy. We sat in the outside patio area which was covered and was a small cute seating area, especially since the weather was nice.“

I was so sad when jets in North Austin closed but so happy they're back! I'm completely confused with all these people saying the price is high or they had a bad experience. $18 for a large 8-slice deep dish is pretty average IMO. It's 10x better than pizza hut, little Caesars or dominos and way more affordable than the competing Detroit style pizza joint. I've gone here plenty of times with no issues. I love that they have the option to order "well-done" online! The staff are always really friendly and greet you when you come in. Love it!“

“My son and I love sushi. We have eaten it all over Austin, including some of the well known high end locations. We had a night to ourselves and decided to try a new place. WOW! We loved every bite!
