“I will start with our server Meredith. Everything about her service was perfect. She was attentive, kind, informative, and most of all cares about her customers. We came here to celebrate our 19th anniversary and they made sure to make us feel celebrated. The decorated desert and fireworks..and a hand signed card from the staff were much appreciated! Now the food… We ordered the shrimp and grits, and the 10 OZ Fillet. Both were exceptional and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Thank you for such a good experience on our special evening.“

“The Daily Special is a hidden gem!! Our server, Shanda, was amazing! She was helpful, cheerful, and kind to everyone there. The food was spectacular! My husband got the meatloaf special (on Mondays) and I got the chicken fried chicken. It was tender and seasoned just right. We didn’t get dessert but someone at another table liked the pie so much, he got a second piece :-) We may have to go back later for dessert!“

“Loved the whole experience. They were a little understaffed that day because the dirty plates sat at our table for extended periods of time but when one asked them to remove it, they would do it immediately. The brisket was the best ever tasted and it's the second time I been there. Drove in from fort Worth just to eat there. It was worth the trip. 💖“

“Came here for SuperBowl and our waiter Val was the best ever!! We asked to turn Volume up and she did!! We asked to put some heat on cause it was cold and she did!! “You ever eat somewhere and it instantly brings back memories from a different restaurant??
The other day we went to Captain D's in Burleson.
I hadn't been to one in years and so was curious how good it would be.
We were a Long John Silvers family growing up so I always have memories of those meals
Well Captain D's has done it well and made me feel like I was at LJS but it was BETTER!
First off Perla at the counter was tremendous!
She definitely knows how to run the restaurant
We tried a little bit of everything
The fish was fried perfectly
The hush puppies were crunchy but moist on the inside
The fries were excellent
The fries pickles were lightly breaded and sour pickles
The butterfly shrimp had the perfect crunch
The mozzarella sticks were flavorful and not over chewy
Overall the oil seemed very new as everything had a light color to it
What I was also very impressed with was how clean the restaurant is for the age
Also how great they maintained it after being there for awhile
I'll definitely be back now that I know it leap frogs the ol LJS!
Gotta go get some crunchies!!!“
