“Our ladies group met for lunch at Lupe Tortilla to celebrate 4th of July and a group member's July 4th Birthday. There were 7 of us for lunch. Our server was April, she did any amazing job navigating our gaggle of Golden Girls. Food was hot and perfect, drinks stayed fresh and April's smile never wavered. She even provided photographer services!
At the end, the on duty manager came out to thank us and ensure our event was to our satisfaction.

He really went above for us tonight when I asked about them doing anything for birthdays, he let me know they don’t do that anymore, but that he would love to sing for her. He gave her a huge shout out at the restaurant and had our whole section singing- and brought her a delicious tres leches slice! We will definitely be back to specifically sit in his section!“

“Great local tex mex joint. I am knocking off a star because the fish was quite dry. However the rest of the sides were great (loved the frijoles and salsa verde) and it’s great value for money (I was able to get through half of this and took the rest home, 16 bucks). Plus Lino was a kind and attentive server. It’s a spacious place too, good for groups. I’ll come back, but get a different entree from the pescado especial 😊“

Prices are average… Birria tacos come with (3) @$15 and all the fixings Fajitas for one are approx $20 Quesadillas are the freaking BOMB @ $15 for a 1/2 Overall!!! A WIN!!!! “The food and service overall was a good experience. Got the 3 for Me special and the total for a family of 4 was right under $60 and that included dessert. Food was hot and only this wrong was the particular dessert but that was no fault of the server. Will definitely consider coming back.“

They have a great menu, as well as accommodations for food allergies! They were very attentive to our orders respectively! “The ice cream with my children's kids meals was a surprising hit, our server was kind and efficient, but I was super disappointed with the chicken quesadilla. There was honestly only a few shreds of cheese per piece and the chicken was spicy (hot), meaning that I couldn't share with my youngest, as we usually do. Hopefully the lack of cheese was a one off thing, but I won't order it again. I will, however, go back to Chuys for another try.“

Edit: 10/07/2026 I've been here now almost 10 time and man the quality is always top notch and I knowu tacos are going to taste just as good as the time before, I've brought my kids and wife here. They absolutely love the food and the customer service is beyond amazing! They always smile and say hello, such a great place to eat!“

“I called a day before to place bulk orders for a graduation party. I ordered barbacoa, pastor, and chicken. The prices are reasonable and are so tasty. The kids like the beans because they taste like grandma's. The rice was a hit at the party. Came with salsas and Pico. Will definitely cater again from them!“

The enchiladas & steak, more like a slice of brisket drenched in a salty cheese sauce. Awful!! The beef enchilada, unflavored ground meat, again drenched in a red sauce WITH cheese. Cancun tilapia again with cheese and 8 tiny cocktail shrimp - no garlic sauce The plate was hot but not the food. At 8ish on a saturday night they only had 3 or 4 tables, no more than 12 people, including us 3 If they were starting to close for the day, they should've close the area they were cleaning. I don't appreciate smelling 'Fabuloso" while I'm eating with the mop bucket next to my table. Really your motto should be "Why are you still in business..." Marked as 1st and last on places not to visit. Overpriced for the food quality“

“I stopped by Barcena’s Mexican Cantina today on 2094 near 518 in League City, and let me tell you—I was not prepared for how good it was. 😅 This spot has seen a rotation of restaurants over the last five years, so I was a little hesitant. My husband and I were straight off the boat… dirty but clean… but still dirty in a clean kind of way. You get it. 😂 I’ve seen Birria tacos everywhere but had never actually tried them until today—and OH. MY. GOODNESS. My jaw hit the table. They were insanely delicious and officially my new obsession. I can already tell the cravings are coming. My husband ordered the crispy beef tacos and he absolutely loved them. The manager, Melissa, even stopped by our table and told us they serve breakfast all day. So yes, if we want Bellinis and pancakes at 9 PM, they’ll make them. And if we want fajitas at 9 AM? Done. That alone deserves a standing ovation. Our server. Denilson, was wonderful—kind, soft-spoken, and on top of everything. Truly a great experience from start to finish.
