“Life has been so incredibly difficult in the last several weeks, and who would’ve thought that getting a hug from a shark (Sharky), would have made things all better. This was my husband’s, and I first date after having an emergency c-section that all but took my life. We decided to come here with our 25 day old son, and since arriving we were greeted by such a warm and kind front host stand personnel. Afterwards, our waitress Symone simply went above and beyond to make our experience a delightful one with her attentiveness, kind smile, and pleasant demeanor. The food was also sooooo incredibly delicious!

Now, the ABSOLUTE star of the show was Sharky. When Sharky made his way to our table, and I briefly told him about my difficulties, he hugged me. THAT hug, from an unknown person in a shark costume has meant so much. It was a hug I didn’t realize I needed. After the first hug, he proceeded to give me a second hug. What a simple act can do in the life of someone. He then very kindly proceeded to take a picture with our son, gifted him a plushie capybara with a cute Kemah shirt on, and lastly sent us an ice cream dessert that said “Love Sharky”. I don’t know who the person under the Sharky costume was, but THANK YOU. I’m crying as I’m typing this because life has just been so real, scary, emotional, heavy, and many more things. To person under the Sharky costume, please don’t change your tender heart. You’ve made an impact in my life I will never forget.“

“Dining at Aki Sushi. I had a fantastic experience at Aki Sushi with my wife. We started with steamed dumplings, which were delightful. My wife had the tonkatsu ramen, a dish bursting with fresh flavors, along with the melt-in-your-mouth wagyu sashimi. I tried the smoked brisket ramen, a unique and delicious dish, and unagi with foie gras sushi wow !!! is all I have to say about that one. We also enjoyed a salmon skin roll, one of my favorites. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff ensuring a memorable meal. Aki Sushi stands out with their fresh wasabi ground tableside and fresh, never-frozen bluefin tuna. Highly recommend for anyone who loves sushi and ramen!“

“Vulnerable moment: Since being diagnosed with gastritis, my health and diet has been turned upside down. Making plans in advance is impossible because I never know how sick i will be. I spend most of the day silently in pain and finding appetizing things to eat that wont irritate my stomach has been a battle I’ve kind of given up on until we figure out how I got gastritis and heal. Having to go spice, additive, dairy, gluten, and (mostly) sugar free to fight the inflammation, I’ve had to handmake everything down to my own sandwich bread. It was SO nice to feel a bit of normalcy today, be able to order from a menu without asking for crazy accommodations, and to have something actually amazing tasting. My love language is now their snickerdoodles and coffee cake! While I hope my illness is temporary, I will be forever thankful for this bakery and what they did for me today! ❤️🍪“

“What can I say!! This is one of the best restaurants we have eaten at in a while! It is a little hidden gem!! Everything has such great flavor !! The Gumbo is fantastic and the chicken and the pecan praline waffle is out of this world!! You definitely will not be disappointed with anything!! And to top it all off the food is Hot made to order and worth the wait!! Definitely will be going back to try some other things!! Our table also had the shrimp and grits and they were very tasty!! There are tons of options that are not only healthy but genuine exciting and delicious. For Mediterranean food the price is a crazy good bargain, especially at lunch. My favorites were the namoura, the baked fish, the walnut baklava, the avocado hummus, and the fresh pita. All of the veggies are crisp and fresh and every dish I had was wonderful. I don't have a single bad thing to say about Dimassi's!“

“I’m not the one to leave comments but I had to for this experience. Hands DOWN the BEST FOOD AND SERVICE I have every had . I drove by this place for years and never knew that I was missing out on ALOT . I was missing the down home Louisiana cooking and the friendliest of the staff .Including the owner . It reminded me of home . If you need a reason to go this is it . You will not be disappointed. My stomach and soul was full !!!!“

“It's a smaller but cozy place. The atmosphere has a pretty cool vibe, seating accommodations included booths and a long shared table option. We indulged in the Ramen with pork and shrimp, came in a large bowl/portion and the pork broth was very good. The service was excellent, our server was very attentive and friendly. He really went above for us tonight when I asked about them doing anything for birthdays, he let me know they don’t do that anymore, but that he would love to sing for her. He gave her a huge shout out at the restaurant and had our whole section singing- and brought her a delicious tres leches slice! We will definitely be back to specifically sit in his section!“
