“The food was awesome! The place is small but we went and got there at 11 o’clock so we didn’t have a problem. Service is great everybody’s friendly my friend and I have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants even expensive ones and this was the best food we had ever eaten. There was so much food. We actually brought brought it home for the next day. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays and they do close at 2 o’clock, but you will not be disappointed with the food at all. The tortillas are homemade and they make everything the way you want. We were very impressed.“

“Where do I even begin? I’ve been coming to Pete’s Tako House for over 10 years, and it’s consistently amazing. The food, the service, the vibe, everything is top notch. Many of the servers have been there just as long as I have, which speaks volumes. Every taco and plate hits the mark, and their homemade chips and salsa are hands down the best you’ll ever have. It’s a San Antonio staple that never disappoints.“

“Food is very authentic Mexican with generous portions. Their rancheros sauce is first rate! Small facility and tables but clean. Drive through is popular, but all dirt and tight corners and no protection from rain. Overall, if you want authentic Mexican food it’s great! If you want fancy atmosphere and new digs, keep looking.“

“Last night, I went to Carriqui with a party of two. We ordered Tuna Tostadas, Guacamole, Chicken Tortilla Soup, Birria, Flan, Tres Leches, and Margaritas.
Tuna Tostadas – Lights out! Sprinkle some lemon on top, take a bite, and it’s just sooo good. The flavors are perfectly balanced. Easily a must-order.
Birria – As someone who loves heavily seasoned food, I didn’t get a strong flavor kick from it, but the lamb was cooked beautifully. I’m glad I tried it!
Tres Leches – The star of the night. Hands down the best Tres Leches I’ve ever had. I’ve only tasted this dessert in Charlotte, NC before, but this one? Perfect. I devoured the whole thing.
Guacamole – So fresh, great texture.
Flan – Good, but Tres Leches stole the show. (I’m also not a huge caramel fan, so I’m a little biased.)
Chicken Tortilla Soup – This one didn’t do it for me.
Margaritas – I really enjoyed these, they are so refreshing.
Beyond the food, the ambiance was amazing. We sat outside, and everything—the music, weather, lighting—was chef’s kiss.
Would definitely come back, especially for the Tuna Tostadas, Tres Leches, and Margaritas!“

Holy enchiladas! Order the Suizas enchiladas! I thought about them for about 24 hours afterwards. Our entire experience was fantastic. Lauryn our server was one of the nicest and most patient people ever! The atmosphere is fantastic. And all of the food was delicious!! Wish we lived closer so we could go more often!“

“I've only had the breakfast tacos but boy they were amazing. We accidentally went 5 minutes before breakfast was over but the staff was more than happy to get us some tacos. We went back a couple of days later, on time, and ordered more tacos. They were large and stuffed.“

“Rios Barbacoa #2 was amazingly delicious! The barabacoa, tamales and beans are a MUST you must try! The phenomenal customer service that makes you feel like family was an additional PLUS! I recommend anyone wanting the BEST barbacoa and tamales stop at Rios Barbacoa #2 Deco District! That will definitely be our choice always for our family breakfast traditions!“

“This is our second time having Veronica as our waitress in the last 30 days and she goes above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. And this time we had a party of 12 and she KEPT UP!! Very attentive, QUICK with getting things to our table, explained the check in detail, very personable yet professional. We will gladly request her if she’s available even if we have to wait. She’s amazing!!“

“I went there with a bunch of my college friends and honestly everything was great. Chips and salsa was excellent and the guacamole tasted great. We ordered a few top shelf margaritas pitchers and they were just as strong as he said they would be. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately my friends were being rude and lying about what they ordered once they saw the price of the bill. Felt kind of bad for our server because our experience couldn’t have been any better.“

“My family came from Ohio in 1950. We bought chalupas and little tacos and ate in Breckenridge park. I remember they were on paper plate and put in brown paper sacks. The chalupas were good because of the thick tortilla. Do you still make these.“

“Went through the drive thru 5/30 and Blair was working. She was awesome. She is the epitome of how service should be. The food is great but again Blair made the food taste better just by her service!!! Definitely 5-stars and she deserves the kudos. It’s is hard to find someone who is enthusiastic at work nowadays. Dietary restrictions: I was allowed to order off the kids menu. Alot of places don't allow that, I was thankful for that, because I've had weightloss surgery so I can not eat much at all. I couldn't even finish the food from the child's menu, I had to take home. THANK YOU FOR ACCOMMODATING ME! And allowing me to order of the kids menu .. ?“

“Oh man! Lupe Tortilla was great! No waiting and our server Matthew took very good care of us 1st timers. My partner wanted shredded beef tacos and Matthew said we wouldn’t find them on the menu but that he could get them for us. I had the oh so tender fajitas with a molcajete filled with all the fixing…guacamole, cheese & diced tomatoes. Along with some rice and beans. Of course I had to have a prickly pear margarita. Great Thursday dinner outing for sure!“

“Went here with my son and daughter in law. The service was top notch and she had a very unusual name it was close to me sons name Joshua but I digress. Anything asked for was immediately provided! I just had a burger and fries and the fries were amazing I mean their fries so but they put some kind of seasoning that was delicious the place was clean everyone was friendly and hospitable. “We stopped in to celebrate our son's 12th birthday, his wish was to go plane spotting as a family. My husband remembered from his childhood how close the planes would fly while coming in to land at the airport so we decided to visit again. Best choice ever! The staff is kind, courteous and attentive. The patio is absolutely perfect for plane spotting! It is beautiful with an amazing garden themed atmosphere. My son was so happy and smiling so big with the massive planes flying into the runway. Thank you Nicha's! 🥰“

“First thing we noticed when we walked in it was the cleanliness. Second thing we noticed was the kind service. Third thing we noticed was the food was absolutely scrumptious and had its own twist on flavor and presentation hard to do when there's a Mexican restaurant on every corner.
We went back for seconds and we definitely will be going as often as possible even though we live across town we discovered this little gem by accident but then again there are no accidents!
