“Visiting from out of state. Highly recommended by my local host for brisket and pulled pork. Pulled pork was sold out before 730 PM so I had brisket plate, and my hosts shared a brisket taco plate. Country (vinegar) slaw was a nice change from soupy mayo-based slaw. Friendly service.“

“Ordered a Chicken fried steak sandwich last night with a side of cream gravy to go.. It was massive. I love their Regular CFS and wanted something smaller. Wow, what a treat, covered it in cream gravy and knife and forked it.. So good!I have eaten CFS at the best places in Texas.Goodson's is rated #1 by Texas Monthly.This CFS is way better.. The coating is the best. Not heavy. And great gravy that doesn't taste like it's from a mix. Highly recommend!“
