“I can’t believe someone left a shameful review of this place. My kids and I have been getting donuts here every Friday since we moved to La Porte. The man doesn’t speak as much as English as his wife but they are BOTH so unbelievable friendly! She learned my kids names and their orders and no matter how busy it is she takes the time to special make my sons frosting and sprinkles covered donuts! “I grew up in Clear Lake and frequented this donut shop pretty much every day before work. I have since left Houston and have moved to DFW, but I always make a point to stop by when I’m in town visiting family. Mel is so friendly and personable, always remembers my name (regardless of how long it’s been since I’ve visited), and always provides service with a smile! He frequently tosses a freebee as well, which is never needed but always appreciated. Not to mention their jalapeño kolaches are probably the best I’ve ever had.

It happens to be on our bike route, so we often stop then as well as anytime wifey and I head out of town. Very friendly "staff" (family) and always clean. Food is great (coffee good too).
