“Stopped there last year on my way to see my sister in New Braunfels and got me some pancakes, they put some extra silverware in the bag and it was two sets of pancakes where I ate one in the car and one at my sister’s house before I went to church that Sunday in New Braunfels and I know that Saturday was busy when I came in there. “Allergies….my wife has developed severe gluten, dairy and egg allergies in the last few years. YAKI specializes in food prep WITHOUT allergy concerns!! They came up when we looked up gluten free options while visiting Waco and what a God-send! We spoke with Jake and encouraged him and the vision he has for helping people that can’t partake in regular food! Slide over to the Mac & Cheese—golden, molten, and unapologetically creamy. You can see the caramelized cheese crown on top like it came out of grandma’s oven, not a commercial kitchen. It had that soulful baked edge and smooth center swirl. Every spoonful was a hug.

“I don’t usually leave reviews but the service I received at this Chick fil A truly deserves recognition. I had a minor issue with my order and Brittany, the manager, went above and beyond to make it right. She personally hand delivered the corrected meal, gave a full refund, and handled everything with genuine care and professionalism.

That kind of customer service is rare these days, especially in fast food. Brittany didn’t just fix the problem she made me feel like a valued guest. You can tell this location takes pride in doing things right and it starts at the top.

I come here specifically for the Cobb Salad. It never misses. Always fresh, always consistent. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and they’re quick without cutting corners.

“Saw the sign on the expressway for this Sonic so I decided to stop off and grab a drink. This is well over a mile off of the expressway. I located it pulled in. It is a very small location compared to others. I placed my order. My drink came out quickly. The employee was very friendly. Overall a good experience, just not a convenient location.“

“My family and I decided to get LJS on Thursday, little did we know it was going to POUR down HUGE BUCKETS of rain that day!! By the time I got to the restaurant, they said that the power was going on and off, but wanted to help me get my order!! I didn’t get any names but the lady that took my order was poised, present and extremely kind and went through all the options for family meals that they had, since the drive thru menu board was offline due to the power. I placed my order, and the manager even gave me a free drink since I had to wait a little bit while they were preparing my food. (It was a lemonade, my favorite!!) I appreciate the team of workers that got my order to me in a decent timeframe considering they were dealing with electrical issues from the rain. I had to maneuver carefully back home because many roads were flooding, but I thankfully got home safely, the food was still hot, and we enjoyed a candlelit dinner at home with LJS because our power went out, due to the storm, Lol, but at least we were safe, and our bellies were full!! It’s more of a pick-up food place rather than a stay-and-eat place.Their strong suit is their chicken package with 1 whole chicken, rice, charro beans, tortillas, grilled onion, and salsas all for $20. It feeds about 4 grown hungry men and it’s a good deal. It is ready in about 3 minutes.The chicken has a good flavor of being grilled over coal. The rice is decent. The charro beans have good flavor. The salsas are good but the green one is especially good.The taqueria has a wide range of food. They also have a rib package which is a bit pricier than the chicken but still good and tender. The pupusas are good and made on the spot so it has a bit of wait time. Their fresh waters are good and huge. Their tamales are good sized if a bit lacking in taste.There is ample parking and wheelchair accessible.Try this place it’s really good, with a wide selection, and reasonably priced.“
