“JJ's is a classic south-side fish and chicken joint. Nothing fancy to look at and no pretentious decor - chairs and tables, TV's and great food. But if you want great tasting consistent chicken wings or fish, JJ's is your spot. Very consistent food prepared the same way to get the same level of flavor and juiciness out of the first to last bite. They carry a big selection of deserts. I have not had all of them, but the one's I have had were above average and delicious. My go-to is the 10 piece wings along with a perch dinner.
If there is one shortcoming, it's that they serve tarter sauce packets with the fish. Order ahead because they are always busy.“

“Forget about Taco Bell, Taco Cabana or any other place for Taco Tuesday or any day because to me this is best for tacos, burritos and tostados. I'm mad at myself for not going here before, my wife and I decided to eat here for lunch and also get something for dinner but the food was so flavorful, fresh tasting and delicious that I ended up eating all my food. I well be coming back real soon!“

“The employees working the parking lot are friendly even though they’re working out in the hot sun. The employees at the windows are super friendly. The food was hot and delicious! Oh my and that lemonade! Yes indeed! They need to add more employees for taking the food orders! One person trying to take all those orders will not work!“

The last time I visited, my experience was not great, and I shared my honest review. I received a follow-up email offering a complimentary meal to make up for it, which I truly appreciated.

When I went back today, Sam, the manager, kindly comped my meal and made sure everything was fresh and right. I ordered a #11 chicken meal with a shake, and everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. Trinity was my server, and she was very pleasant and provided excellent customer service with a great attitude.

I’m happy to say this visit turned things around, and I’ll definitely be back.
