“I’ve been craving gorditas for two weeks now. I just happened to pass by this location and had to stop because it’s literally called Gorditas! Everything was nostalgic for me. It tasted authentic, just like my abuelita would make in Mexico. The gorditas were terrific, the salsa that comes with the chips was delicious, my husband had bought some to bring home, the onions were grilled to perfection, the rice and beans were yummy, and the young lady at the cash register was very personable and just super sweet. The ladies in the back that were cooking, need to be recognized for their hard work!!Thank you for bringing me back to my childhood with your food.Forever a customer! ?“
“The food is tasty and the people are friendly. My only complaint is that the servings are somewhat skimpy. They give you the smallest portion of rice and the kids literally get one small taco. I think they could work on their portion sizes for the prices.“
“Best tacos north of the tollway!! It is really hard to find good authentic tacquerias north of sam rayburn! Tacos and tortas were soo good! No cutting corners, just some good authentic food! Salsas were also amazing! Will be back and recommend if you are in the area!“
“I ordered a beef quesadilla for a quick lunch and paid close to $17 I felt a bit overcharged. The quesadilla IS large and equals down to 8 slices, definitely shareable. I purchased no drink and sorry I did not leave a tip.The price for 1 quesadilla was a bit of a surprise specially if it costs more than my hourly wage lol. I do understand I got beef so maybe chicken would be less expensive? Still though they are not very generous with the meat portion. I did not want to complain but I hope they do pay their employees fairly if the prices are high like this. Unfortunately I won’t be going back :(“
“What a delicious thing ? by God!Thank you Ale taco for feeding me 2 times a week ?.Divine place, good atmosphere with music, cleanliness and very good aroma Thank you very much for providing great serviceSusan, always with her beautiful smile and a very nice charisma, helps you choose when you don't know what to eat and is always offering something else so you don't forget anything, in a few words. My favorite waitress? !“
“The service was Awesome! My waitress was very friendly and kept a smile on her face the whole time. The food was good and it came out in a timely manner. Their Hibiscus drink , Fish Soup, and Shrimp and Fish Civiche was really good. I will be back to try more items on their menu.“
“The Torta Cubano was a fever dream. I'll be back to eat it again, but be ready for a monster of a sandwich. The tacos and meat were all on point and very delicious. We will be back for sure. Even if it's just to watch the majestic horses romp around.“
“Heard good things about this place in the various local food groups, and it's always packed when I drive by, so we decided to try it out on a miserably rainy Thursday evening. Fast, friendly, and attentive service, the ambiance is pretty much what you'd expect for a solid Tex Mex restaurant, and the food was great! We also partook of the happy hour drink specials and were not disappointed.Wife and I just decided to split one of their appetizer platters -- the one with all the chicken stuff. Somewhat comically, one of the two chicken jalapeño poppers was completely devoid of filling (it was the right size and shape so clearly the filling must have seeped out during deep-frying). I notified our server and she swiftly replaced it with not one but TWO extra poppers (one chicken, one cheese). Hooray!Wife decided she needed more protein and we ordered the cóctel de camarónes and you need to understand that this was always the dish her dad would make her when she was younger and she needed cheering up so it's near and dear to her heart. It is no small praise to indicate that it met with her approval.Chips were good. Salsa was quite tasty, though more liquid than solid. Nothing wrong than that; just observing. They also gave us a couple sweetened coffee shots at the end of our meal. Neat! Also, there was an abuelita serving the table next to us, unapologetically forcing some Español out of the exceedingly white family in the table next to us and calling them mijo and mija and while our server was great, I've never had server-envy more in my entire life. Next time, Angelina's. Next time.Anyway, do yourself a favor and check out Angelina's. Good food, good drinks, good times.“
“I've been coming here for several years now and it's always amazing. I've never had a bad experience and the food is always top notch. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. This is simply the best Mexican restaurant in the Flower Mound/Lewisville area.“
“Really cool little place in gas station. I find these smaller run businesses wholesome, and you can tell they care about your business. I had some breakfast tacos, made fresh. You could see the kitchen so you could see all the fresh ingredients used. 2 tacos filled one of the burger to go boxes. Red sauce was just enough heat. 10 outta 10.“
“New favorite place can eat here multiple times a week.Usually get the half chicken combo (#1) for two people. Comes with tortillas, beans, rice, and salsa for 12$. I usually like to get extra tortillas and onion when I'm extra hungry or sharing.“
“What a hidden gem of a taco shop in a gas station! Everything we've had so far has been excellent! The owners really take the time to put love and effort into their food while using fresh ingredients. Very tasty sauces as well. Best Taco Shop in Lewisville, hands down! We'll be back again and again!“
“Been coming here for lunch for years now. The man running the counter is always great. They serve great authentic Mexican food. The seating is limited, but that’s to be expected with a small taqueria. The fajita tacos are fantastic. The meat is finely chopped, never fatty and has a great flavor. Beans and rice are on point too. I’ve tried their salsa roja and salsa verde. I prefer the flavor of the salsa verde but the salsa roja has some heat. I’ve also had their enchiladas rojas. They are very good, but nothing to write home about. If it’s your first time, I would recommend the 3 taco plate. This a one of the better taquerias in the Lewisville area.“
“Met my family for dinner here this weekend, cause we had a craving for the kind of real Mexican food we grew up with. The food here was delicious. I had the guisado de puerco and it was soft and flavorful. I'm so sad I don't live closer to this place or it would absolutely be my go-to.“
“Traveling from out of town so we were just driving around and found this place. Amazing food, service and place was very clean. My son is a very picky eater and he said he gave this place a 10 out of 10. Will definitely be back when visiting in the area.“
“Absolutely love this place. We visit once a week for lunch. It's always hot and fresh and comes out within minutes of ordering. We've come here so much and ordered the same thing every time that 4 or 5 people on the staff knows exactly what we want and how we want it prepared even down to the drinks with light ice. ALWAYS great service and great food.“
“I just had the most unforgettable night at TBD Kitchen, and I couldn't wait to share the experience! From the moment I stepped in, the place exuded a warm and welcoming vibe that set the stage for a fantastic evening.Let me tell you about Kaya, the extraordinary bartender who made the night even more special. Her passion for mixology was evident in every cocktail she crafted. Trust me; she knows how to elevate your drink game. Kaya's friendly and engaging personality added a personal touch, making me feel like a valued guest. Now, onto the food – each dish on TBD Kitchen's menu is a culinary masterpiece. The chef's dedication to using fresh, high-quality ingredients truly shines through. From appetizers to desserts, the flavors were exquisite, leaving me craving more.TBD Kitchen has this effortlessly cool ambiance, making it the perfect spot for a laid-back night out. Kaya's skill behind the bar and the delectable food make this place a standout in the local scene. It's the kind of spot you'd want to keep coming back to.“
“La torta cubana es la mejor torta del mundo osi yo solo pudiera comer una comida por el resto de mi vida sera esta torta deliciosa la mentada cubana, cada dia que salgo temprano de la escuela yo paso a comprarme una tortita y los empleados son muy buenos conmigo especialmente un mucho llamado Victor es muy buena onda.“
“Good spot. Secluded and private feeling despite being an open seating floor plan in a downtown area. Service was good, food was good, margaritas were fantastic. Normally not on this side of town but was in the area and craving Mexican food. Tried going to three other places and 1 was closed due to construction (but didn't notify anywhere), the other had reviews of rude racist staff members, and the last only accepted cash. This spot is a diamond in the rough. Try it. You won't be disappointed.“
“Love everything about this business. The owner, his sister are just the most friendly people you can encounter. The owners sister literally knows my entire family. She always greets me with a huge smile, remembers that I love lots of lemon ? this spot is our normal place to pick up paletas especially de coco ?, the elotes, duros con cuernitos, agua de piña colada my fav, strawberry horchatas my kids fav!“
“literally the best meat market. they have some of the best fresh meat and food.prices are good, with so many dish options. the staff Is always so friendly and helpful. I recently ordered a sope and it was the best sope I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.“
“We usually go to this location several times a month usually on Wednesday’s.Tonight we had the most amazing guy who took our order. He told us his name was Voice but I believe his whole name is, and I’m not sure I’m spelling it correctly, LeVoice. He greeted us immediately when we walked in the door and we exchanged Happy Valentine greetings to another. He was so friendly and engaging while taking our order that I thanked him for being that way, and told him I was happy to see him working at this location! The manager happened to be helping out in the grill area and I told him I wanted to give a shout out to Voice so he literally did a shout out over the microphone, LOL - I certainly hope to see him next time we go!“
“Were from Los Angeles and my wife is of Mexican decent so we know good Mexican food this place is awesome tiny little restaurant that serves awesome authentic Mexican favorites, and the service is great the bathrooms are spotless. Best burrito i have had since living in Texas 12 years tacos are the best!!!!!!“
“The place doesn’t look like much from the outside and is attached to a gas station. But most of the hidden gems are! The good is GREAT! We had made to order egg and potato tacos that were piping hot and the jalapeño taco sauce was awesome. The woman who was running the place was super friendly and knew the locals who were in there eating who also were loving their food. This is one of the places that if you’re in the area you should try something off the menu but I highly recommend!!“
“I like this location, today Sherry was very nice and attentive, as well as quick and efficient. The food was great as always.I love the free chips! Manuel took care of us today, very attentive and friendly service. Food was great ? I had the chicken tostada and it was great, you can't go wrong with the grilled chicken either.“
