“I can't say enough good things about this place! The meat was tender and expertly cooked and many of the seasonings and sides are creative/ non traditional. For me, the creative approach to BBQ made the food memorable and delicious, but if you're looking for a super traditional experience, this might not be the spot for you. We tried the brisket, pork ribs, sausage, and pollos asados and loved it all. The potato salad here is great and I loved the green spaghetti too.

The staff was super kind and accommodating, you can tell they love what they do and care deeply about the restaurant. There was a bit of a line when we got there but they did a good job moving people through the restaurant. My only complaint is that a few items were sold out by the time we got there- but that's just an excuse to come back another time!”

“This is the 2nd Terry Black's BBQ that we've been to. Just like the location in a
Austin, the smokemasters cooked the meat perfectly.i love that they give people a tour of the pit--so interesting to see and learn.
This time we had brisket and pork ribs along with their Mac & Cheese that tastes like the stuff my mom made when I was a kid. The corn has a spice in it that I can't pinpoint, but it adds a new dimension to the corn. Washing it down with a Frosty Rootbeer and Im a happy camper. Full!!
Lots of seating for overflow but I'm guessing she gets pretty busy on the weekends! The service was great, enjoyed visiting with the meat cutter.

“WOW WOW WOW!!!!! Seriously, if you haven’t tried them- you should. The wait was WELL worth it. My 3yo, husband and myself had the best experience here. The food is worth a million bucks and the service is matched equally! I had the best sandwich I think I’ve ever had (the gonzo), my husband had a burger (the market street burger); even he couldn’t dominate, and my daughter drowned herself in the incredible strawberry waffle for kids. Super pleased we made the choice to eat here. Definitely going to be a place we come back to often!!!”

“my husband took me to this restaurant last night for my birthday to have the prime rib dinner. everything was delicious the service was warm and welcoming and the atmosphere was excellent for a date night. The only improvement could have been a little more crisp on the fries. The two lady servers were fantastic. We will be back!”

“Went to do a food review and the owner Lydia was great about giving me the history of Lilly's!! She also made me a Swiss Mushroom burger with grilled onions and mushrooms. It was the best SMB I've had!! Great atmosphere and great ppl!!! I definitely recommend Lilly's and their burgers!!!”

“I visited this place today. I wanted a hot coffee just wasn’t sure what flavor. I chose a flavor the gentleman said he had never made before would give it a try for me. It was delicious!!! The young lady and the young g gentleman that made it were so kind and sweet. They asked me to try it for them there. They wanted to know how it tasted. I absolutely loved it.
I will definitely keep coming back. Such great employees and great atmosphere. Keep up the excellent work.”

“Hands down the best bakery ever!! We go here often and are never disappointed. Ordered a last minute order of Mexican wedding cookies as well as 75 Pan de Huevo for our wedding and they made it happen!!! They even managed to make them our wedding colors which turned out so great! All of our guests were commenting on how delicious and pretty they were. We will continue to visit this establishment frequently and they will definitely be our go to for any party bakery needs. Thank you again!!!”

“This is a classic old school beer bar. Clean restrooms (yes, that is first), comfortable atmosphere, AMI jukebox, pool tables and you can smoke out of the elements. One of the few bars left like that. Great place! Great location! Great people! BUBBA'S IN LOCKHART is GREAT!”

“Although the food was very good, their customer service was TERRIBLE! The woman behind the meat counter was the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in a food establishment. In Lockhart, Tx , there are at least 10 other bbq restaurants, so, people definitely have choices! We were visiting Lockhart and chose Krews from another recommendation. We ordered approximately $50 in meats and she threw 4 slices of bread up on our meat order. One of the pieces was the “heel”. She knew we wanted to make a couple of sandwiches and when I asked her for another piece of bread, instead of the “heel” , she proceeded to tell me that there was nothing wrong with it. She argued with me about that piece of bread until she finally threw it in the trash and threw several other pieces up on our meats. Based on our experience, we wouldn’t return.”

“My family got together Monday night after school and meetings and the only Mexican restaurant open in lockhart. We were all pleasantly surprised to have good service, delicious food, good portions, and the plates all looked so good. The men left full and the woman all had to go boxes because the food was just that good but too much for one sitting.”

“AMAZING! We’ve been driving past this spot on 183 for weeks now commuting to and from Austin to Victoria and today we decided we just HAD to try it — what a great idea. We picked up a dozen hot spicy pork tamales and a dozen frozen pork tamales, can’t wait to devour them all. “It feels like the twilight zone going into this place. If you’ve been to other Dairy Queen locations, you’ll understand what I mean.

Every other Dairy Queen I’ve ever been into in my life is poorly maintained, serves lackluster food, and the staff is unhappy.

At this location, there are good people, the facility is well-maintained, and the food is wonderful. I have an amazing experience every single time I go to this location.

There’s clearly something special about Mayfield Dairy Queen locations.”

“Been living in Lockhart since 2022 and finally made our way here. Food was tasty and delicious. Smaller sized restaurant that has maybe 15 tables and booths. Cozy feel to it.

I had the fish tacos which were amaIng. Wife wanted crawfish, but she opted for something else as the crawfish was $13.50 per pound. A bit steep for crawfish when other places are in the single digits. Son had the garlic Parmesan bone-in wings which he loved.”

“Took my visiting sister and her husband to Smitty’s , the walls are black with smoke, fires were ablaze , air was heavy with the smell of cooking meat and what looked like post oak . We had ribs , sausages and brisket that was cooked to perfection . I couldn’t have made a better impression of true Texas BBQ !”
