“Driving back to H-town, we stopped at Deacon Baldy’s to check out the BBQ truck we heard about. Boy am I glad we did. It was amazing. We tried the brisket, burnt ends and turkey. It’s hard to believe the turkey could be better than the burnt ends but I believe it was. I can’t believe how moist they were. Also great was the Mac and Cheese and even the iced tea. I’ll be back. I’ve got my eyes on the ribs next. Well done BBQ Godfather.“

“HEB does everything exceptionally well including BBQ.
Got brisket and ribs. The brisket was good and smoky and pretty moist but the ribs were some of the best I've had. The serrano cornbread was perfect. The coleslaw was average for me. The little packs of toothpicks are a nice bonus!“

“The food is great. Today I tried the Brisket and Sausage . So tender and that Barbecue Sauce was great. It was so good didn’t need no sauce. The staff is great. Had a chance to meet the owner and one of his daughters.You will not be disappointed .“

“We had food catered by the Meating place and it was awesome. Great price! The brisket was delicious and the BBQ sauce was amazing. The Mac & Cheese was a big hit. The baked beans were the best we have tasted anywhere !!!!! Food arrived on time, will definitely do business here again!!!“
