“What an adorable place with the most delicious, authentic German food we’ve ever had in the US. I had a lovely dry Riesling wine, pork weiner schnitzel with German potato salad & sauerkraut. It was a large portion & absolutely amazing. Hubby had veal weiner schnitzel & red cabbage. The veal was so tender. We loved it all & will definitely return next time we’re in New Braunfels. Make a reservation ahead of time. It’s cozy & quite popular. We didn’t have a reservation & it took about an hour to get a table, but it was really worth it!”

“My husband and I had dinner there last night for the first time. The young lady who took our order was very patient and friendly. The food arrived to our table within a few minutes and it was great. Prime rib was on point and the pork ribs were as well. I could eat a whole plate of their green beans. A man, maybe a manager, came to assist us at our table as we were trying to get my hubby's wheelchair closer in for him to eat. Great experience over all and we will be back and recommend to friends.”

“We had a typical but delicious country breakfast at the Union Street Diner. It was busy on New Year’s Day, but our food was fast and the service was great! We did have a little bit of a wait (15-20 minutes), but the train vibe and food were worth it. \n\nGood value for the money.”

“We were here for a baby shower and it was the best one I have ever been to. The bar staff were great, they were slinging drinks quick! And they were so nice too. I love all the specials they had going on, which were posted don the chalk wall behind the bar. Btw there is a thing called train shots, every time the train passes they do $2 shots. The back patio was fantastic! Plenty of room with lots of tables and a stage for live music. Kids are allowed till 8. So it was great to see them all running around. And there were 2 good trucks to get some grub. We will be back for sure, baby shower or not.”

“Find a way to get there! I kept putting off trying this because it can be very busy traffic area but I am surely glad I did! The jerk chicken was juicy, the ribs fell right off the bone with perfect taste. Mac n cheese, corn & cole slaw 10/10! Great portions and the heat was perfect! Definitely will be back soon.”

“This is a fun location with plenty of beer choices and great pizza. They have a stage for live music and plenty of seating. We attended an event there, so it was very busy, but accommodated a lot of people.”

“We had lunch today on the porch! LED off with Fried Oyster appetizer! Spicy Crunchy Trout with Broccoli and roasted potatoes and a really nice side salad. My wife had the Three Seafood Salad with Salmon and Shrimp. I know there was another seafood item but she can’t remember. But the waitress was so professional and in these days…she was so good! I wish we’d gotten the Fried Brie appetizer! A little hard to Locate back in behind the other shops but they were also fun! Very good bread as well!!!!”
