The bar had several selections, arcade games, pool table, table top games, local food trucks, and a family friendly atmosphere.”

My entry, shrimp and scallops, perfectly cooked although, the scallops had a little gritty. But the flavors were amazing. My husband ordered the braised ribs, but got braised beef 🤷‍♀️ He's not one to complain, so he ate it. He enjoyed the flavor on his meal.
We initially found Kindling on the Culinaria week options. We'll certainly revisit.”

“We had a table for nine after church on a Sunday so it took a while to be seated. But the wait was worth it! Wonderful atmosphere. Excellent service. Great food. We’ve never been disappointed and it remains one of our favorite places to go for the past 30 years.”

“What an adorable place with the most delicious, authentic German food we’ve ever had in the US. I had a lovely dry Riesling wine, pork weiner schnitzel with German potato salad & sauerkraut. It was a large portion & absolutely amazing. Hubby had veal weiner schnitzel & red cabbage. The veal was so tender. We loved it all & will definitely return next time we’re in New Braunfels. Make a reservation ahead of time. It’s cozy & quite popular. We didn’t have a reservation & it took about an hour to get a table, but it was really worth it!”

“My wife and I stopped here on a roadtrip for a coffee and breakfast stop along the way. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, you can clearly see the pride that they take in their business and providing an excellent experience for their customers.

The coffee was great, lots of unique Korean style coffees that you could not find elsewhere. We also got the egg avocado toast, it was also really good.”

“My husband and I had dinner there last night for the first time. The young lady who took our order was very patient and friendly. The food arrived to our table within a few minutes and it was great. Prime rib was on point and the pork ribs were as well. I could eat a whole plate of their green beans. A man, maybe a manager, came to assist us at our table as we were trying to get my hubby's wheelchair closer in for him to eat. Great experience over all and we will be back and recommend to friends.”

“Breakfast was delicious. We live in New Braunfels and now we have a new place to take our family and friends. Customer Service was fabulous very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is wonderful, loved the train theme. We all had a great time at the restaurant.”

“Onion Rings they were bad today. I told the waitress can you go ask the chef why the batter has fallen off all these rings. She just laughed, she came back again I asked did you ask the chef, she said she can’t talk to him. I said why does he not speak English? She said know they are busy. I said he needs to know the are just oily onions. Never even said anything not even to her manager. Like it was something strange. After a $70 bill for two people no bar tab. It all should be good or at least I’m very disappointed. I did mention it to two other wait staff one male one female he said well probably just a bad day. I told I’m not mad but this is 3-5 on Saturday and I bet it’s gonna get busier, I just like somebody to report it to the chef or who is in charge to Se if something can be done about it or see what’s going if on. For the sake of other customers.”

“It is a good place to relax and visit until the bands show up. Then you can't hear each other. The Crispy Chicken is the BEST in San Antonio area! It would be nice if they had more draft choices. Usually only have 4, but they have several varieties in cans and bottles. Park early or else park across the tracks.”
