“BBQ is one area of food that I take a strong interest in. We've traveled to nearly every state, and make it a priority to stop, and experience the BBQ in each of these places. With Texas being the highest ranked in our opinion, and Kansas/Missouri close behind, The Half Acre is top 3 in Texas. Amazing food, and excellent staff!“

“Ruby and Doss were very helpful and attentive to my needs. The BBQ was fantastic! I would compare it to Coopers BBQ in New Braunfels!!! Most definitely the BEST in Midland Texas!!!!

“Let me say something about customer service. Mac’s BAR-B-Q in Midland,Tx I was sitting in the hotel, wanting bbq, saw Mac’s menu, but one site they were closed Saturday and Sundays. Another said they were open Saturday. I decided to give them a call, if no one answers, I know they are closed. Well, the owner answered, said they were closed for a private party, then he asked if it was just me…. “Come on over, come to the side door to the kitchen and I’ll make you a plate.” The best bbq and definitely the best customer service.“

“If you visit this location, you MUST request Sissy!! She was so wonderful, personable & kind. Restaurant was full, but only waited about 15 minutes and food was served at a good pace. My steak was overcooked & my husbands steak was perfect. I didn’t ask for my steak to be remade because the flavor was still great. Sissy was so kind and attentive, I didn’t even mind the overdone ribeye.“

“Had a lovely lunch with a mix carnivores and vegetarians. Everybody loved it. Mains were fantastic, sides were even better. Queso Mac, mashed potatoes, and pinto beans were all standouts. Owners and staff were also great - very friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to return.“
