“My favorite bbq in Midland. As far as standard bbq goes it’s hard to beat the half acre, they do things the right way.

Sausage has a good snap and flavor without being overly greasy. Brisket is always moist and very tender with a nice crust. Beef ribs and pork ribs also serve as another great option and fall right off the bone.

For sides I usually stick with their okra or green chile mac if it’s available, but I have no complaints over any of their sides.

Overall, they don’t do anything crazy or super inventive, they just make good bbq.“

The service from Rhonda at the front counter was fantastic and she laid out exactly what I should get as someone who is not from Texas. “Let me say something about customer service. Mac’s BAR-B-Q in Midland,Tx I was sitting in the hotel, wanting bbq, saw Mac’s menu, but one site they were closed Saturday and Sundays. Another said they were open Saturday. I decided to give them a call, if no one answers, I know they are closed. Well, the owner answered, said they were closed for a private party, then he asked if it was just me…. “Come on over, come to the side door to the kitchen and I’ll make you a plate.” The best bbq and definitely the best customer service.“
