They run specials (outside of a happy hour) on certain drinks of the day which is neat. The coffee bar on the bottom closes at 5pm and then the cocktail bar up top opens at 5:30. The sours were on point, will be back!“

“We had a great experience at Melrose, and Aaryana really stood out. She was warm, attentive, and took great care of us throughout the evening. Even as we moved around to different areas, she kept checking on us and made sure our orders were taken care of.

She was also kind enough to take a picture for us, which was a nice and thoughtful gesture. Her friendly and attentive service added a lot to our experience.

“We had an amazing experience at Balboa! Starting with the complimentary valet, which was quick and friendly service. The entry to the restaurant was super nice and a great photo opportunity spot. Kyrah took excellent care of us during our visit, and we loved the team style service. It felt like we had a team serving us, and they are so quick and quiet that you can continue to hold conversations and visit but someone is always near if you need anything. Kyrah took special care to "refresh" our cocktail glasses when we finished about half of our drinks, and made excellent recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing. Our table tried the fried shrimp, oysters, spicy ahi tuna roll, crab cake, Post Oak ribeye with pureed potatoes, salmon with the most delicious and unique salad, and heirloom tomatoes. The cocktails were delicious, including the Gold Rush, Rum Dum, and el Guero. The restaurant vibe is romantic but fun and sophisticated and has an open kitchen concept where you can see the food being made if you care to watch. I will most definitely be back and can confidently recommend this place to anyone!“

“Bar Moon has a great atmosphere, and the drinks were very good. The food is mostly basic bar bites, so I wouldn’t recommend coming here hungry—it’s better suited for drinks or a nightcap.

Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Our waitress was sitting nearby, yet I repeatedly had to flag her down whenever we needed something. She also removed my drink before I had finished it without asking. Overall, she seemed unbothered and inattentive, as though we were simply there rather than guests she was supposed to assist.

I would return for the atmosphere and drinks, but the service definitely needs improvement.“

“I walked in and asked someone nearby for a menu .He said menus are online rudely and walked off . I stood up there for a few minutes no one came back up to greet me or take my order . As soon as some Caucasian people walk in a man came out back greeted them & seated them all while I was just standing there . I just left respectfully . I was shocked that this place of business only caters to certain races not the African Americans and I normally dine in at the Mexican Restaraunt but I seen that a new spot opened up and I wanted to support . My family has been̈ treated very nice at the Mexican restataunt in the same shopping center everytime we go Customer Service is superb . This Educated African American will happily spend her black dollars where it is appreciated .You all need to take notes on welcoming everyone to your place of business regardless of color .“

“Houston Location: We arrived at our reservation and waited 10 minutes for the hostess. Once seated, we were uninstructed on how to order. Sushi chefs explained the process. Our waiter arrived 10 minutes after, taking our drink order. The app arrived before the waters, followed by the drinks after we ordered and received the sushi. The manager noticed us looking for our waiter but was often in the corner on his phone or socializing with the hostess. The sushi chefs were also on their phones while making the sushi, which was unhealthy. Despite the germy seasoning, the food was amazing.“

We did come around 11pm and it was pretty dead to the point where they had to open the door nextdoor to bring in people from Ducky’s (queue where we come in). But that means all the seating was open and it was very comfortable. We did appreciate the snacks with every drink and excellent hospitality. Every drink order comes with olives and barbecue chips!“
