Sandwich was delicious -- bread was buttery and toasty, the chicken salad moist and tasty with a bit of kick, even the lettuce was crisp and fresh. And the fries! So crunchy and super hot, served with both ketchup and a house-made fry sauce that was divine. I'll be going back.“

“I've been wanting to come here for a while. So glad I finally decided to stop by. First, service is great. All the staff was very attentive and our food came out quickly and hot. We had the wings, spicy goat pizza, pork belly, fish and chips, and burger. Everything was delicious and the portions are very generous. The fish and chips are made with flounder and the batter was nice and crispy, not greasy at all. The wings were top notch. Very juicy and very well seasoned. These are sold be the pound and the pound is about 6 wings. The burger was very juicy and the fries were nice and crispy. The star of the show was the pizza. Goat cheese and the habanero glaze go together so well. The dough is top notch. Sourdough that is left to set for 72 hours. Dry and crunchy! The pork belly is very well done as well. Not too rich, nice and balanced. For dessert we had the bread pudding with ice cream. Very good as well. Lots of creative drinks as well. As a result, the food menu is greeeatly reduced and orders are taken at the bar instead of a server coming to the table which definitely doesn't feel as welcoming and difficult for groups. “So we went to the Toasted Coconut last week for a late lunch and it was fantastic. For starters, we had the fried dumplings in chili oil, which are my favorites, and they were simply sublime. For main dishes, we had the cheeseburger, the Og fried chicken nuggets, and their Baja mussels with a side of French fries. The hamburger was spectacular ultra juicy and gooey, with just the right amount of aioli to bring it all together. While the mussels were suculent and perfectly cooked and served in their thick creamy broth, which is fantastic for mopping with their homemade focaccia bread or with any leftover fries or naan bread. In my opinion, these are some of the best mussels in Houston and well worth a trip to the restaurant just to try them out.But the pièce de résistance today was the OG style chicken nuggets. They were simply to die for! They were super crunchy yet ultra juicy while the chili sauce was hot and tangy but not overly, so bringing it all together perfectly into small bites of heavenly goodness. As for drinks, we had gin and tonics and cokes, which were just the right combination for our feast. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for great food and good ambiance for either dinner or late lunch. All their food is fantastic and their staff is magnificent.“

They don't have brewed ice tea which is a bummer. Didn't try the margaritas but they looked good. Prices are a little lower than JLB. They had heavy metal on the TV at a rather annoying volume which made it hard to have a conversation with my friend. Staff was very pleasant. Definitely worth checking out. I would have given it five stars for the food however I had the garlic ribeye in which the garlic noodle aspect was freaking amazing but the ribeye was chewy as hell. There were a few tender pieces (like 2) but mostly the pieces of meat had a lot of cartilage in it making it chewy and then id have to spit out the web like cartilage excess. I just got through with a sand volleyball tournament at the Decoy so I was so damn hungry I didn't really care too much and wasn't going to take the time to complain and wait for my food to be prepared again. The friends I brought with me all loved their food and we all had a fantastic time!I hope the owner/manager sees this review and improves the quality of the meat that they choose especially in this case. Where ever they are sourcing their ribeye, based on my experience, was low quality. Now keep in mind this might not be the norm however I would be reluctant to recommend the ribeye garlic noodle and instead would suggest others to try the other options of meat because the garlic noodle aspect was absolute bomb!!! We were allowed to sit wherever because we were the first to arrive. The venue is very cozy but chic. There is plenty of seating indoors and on the outside terrace area. The service was fast, and our waiter Christopher was amazing. Though Christopher was our waiter, there were at least 2 other gentlemen who stopped by to check on us. They really know how to make a girl feel special. It was a very welcomed change of scenery for us. It wasn't overcrowded, and it appeared to be a nice spot for professionals who want to wine down after work in a relaxed setting. The cherry on top of this amazing experience was the tab.
