I was pleased with how clean and well kept the place was. Bathroom was clean and what a surprise with heated toilet seats. “We had an amazing experience at Balboa! Starting with the complimentary valet, which was quick and friendly service. The entry to the restaurant was super nice and a great photo opportunity spot. Kyrah took excellent care of us during our visit, and we loved the team style service. It felt like we had a team serving us, and they are so quick and quiet that you can continue to hold conversations and visit but someone is always near if you need anything. Kyrah took special care to "refresh" our cocktail glasses when we finished about half of our drinks, and made excellent recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing. Our table tried the fried shrimp, oysters, spicy ahi tuna roll, crab cake, Post Oak ribeye with pureed potatoes, salmon with the most delicious and unique salad, and heirloom tomatoes. The cocktails were delicious, including the Gold Rush, Rum Dum, and el Guero. The restaurant vibe is romantic but fun and sophisticated and has an open kitchen concept where you can see the food being made if you care to watch. I will most definitely be back and can confidently recommend this place to anyone!“

“I walked in and asked someone nearby for a menu .He said menus are online rudely and walked off . I stood up there for a few minutes no one came back up to greet me or take my order . As soon as some Caucasian people walk in a man came out back greeted them & seated them all while I was just standing there . I just left respectfully . I was shocked that this place of business only caters to certain races not the African Americans and I normally dine in at the Mexican Restaraunt but I seen that a new spot opened up and I wanted to support . My family has been̈ treated very nice at the Mexican restataunt in the same shopping center everytime we go Customer Service is superb . This Educated African American will happily spend her black dollars where it is appreciated .You all need to take notes on welcoming everyone to your place of business regardless of color .“

“Houston Location: We arrived at our reservation and waited 10 minutes for the hostess. Once seated, we were uninstructed on how to order. Sushi chefs explained the process. Our waiter arrived 10 minutes after, taking our drink order. The app arrived before the waters, followed by the drinks after we ordered and received the sushi. The manager noticed us looking for our waiter but was often in the corner on his phone or socializing with the hostess. The sushi chefs were also on their phones while making the sushi, which was unhealthy. Despite the germy seasoning, the food was amazing.“

The best I have ever had (better than Delia’s IYKYK). The churros…OMG they are perfection. The melted high cocoa chocolate was on point! And THANK YOU for making them soft! So tired of overly fried. Empanadas are a must and the edamame was splendid (I had to order 2 because my son ate my entire plate of them). Lovely energy, sweet and attentive staff. Priced right! It is a MUST stop! “We went last night for my husband’s birthday. While the food was outstanding per usual, the service was deplorable. We waited 40 minutes before our order was taken and just sat with waters. Bread came after appetizers. Kids were completely done with their meals before adults received ours. Difficult experience with two small children. When we first got there, only three other tables had people at them so it wasn’t busy. Definitely expected better service.“

“My partner and I got the chicken pad thai and chicken red curry. We requested thai hot (their highest spice level) for both dishes! Our server was nice and was quick with their service. Ambiance is really nice and I love the music selection. While waiting for the food, I was adoring the place.
