“We had an amazing experience at Balboa! Starting with the complimentary valet, which was quick and friendly service. The entry to the restaurant was super nice and a great photo opportunity spot. Kyrah took excellent care of us during our visit, and we loved the team style service. It felt like we had a team serving us, and they are so quick and quiet that you can continue to hold conversations and visit but someone is always near if you need anything. Kyrah took special care to "refresh" our cocktail glasses when we finished about half of our drinks, and made excellent recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing. Our table tried the fried shrimp, oysters, spicy ahi tuna roll, crab cake, Post Oak ribeye with pureed potatoes, salmon with the most delicious and unique salad, and heirloom tomatoes. “Bar Moon has a great atmosphere, and the drinks were very good. The food is mostly basic bar bites, so I wouldn’t recommend coming here hungry—it’s better suited for drinks or a nightcap.

Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Our waitress was sitting nearby, yet I repeatedly had to flag her down whenever we needed something. She also removed my drink before I had finished it without asking. Overall, she seemed unbothered and inattentive, as though we were simply there rather than guests she was supposed to assist.

I would return for the atmosphere and drinks, but the service definitely needs improvement.“

“I walked in and asked someone nearby for a menu .He said menus are online rudely and walked off . I stood up there for a few minutes no one came back up to greet me or take my order . As soon as some Caucasian people walk in a man came out back greeted them & seated them all while I was just standing there . I just left respectfully . I was shocked that this place of business only caters to certain races not the African Americans and I normally dine in at the Mexican Restaraunt but I seen that a new spot opened up and I wanted to support . My family has been̈ treated very nice at the Mexican restataunt in the same shopping center everytime we go Customer Service is superb . This Educated African American will happily spend her black dollars where it is appreciated .You all need to take notes on welcoming everyone to your place of business regardless of color .“

“Live DJ playing great music when we came in on a Saturday night. We did come around 11pm and it was pretty dead to the point where they had to open the door nextdoor to bring in people from Ducky’s (queue where we come in). But that means all the seating was open and it was very comfortable. We did appreciate the snacks with every drink and excellent hospitality. Every drink order comes with olives and barbecue chips!“

Our waiter arrived 10 minutes after, taking our drink order. The app arrived before the waters, followed by the drinks after we ordered and received the sushi. The manager noticed us looking for our waiter but was often in the corner on his phone or socializing with the hostess. Bread came after appetizers. Kids were completely done with their meals before adults received ours. Difficult experience with two small children. Modern decor, clean and parking is spacious. I would recommend this chic restaurant in a heart beat! Unlike those Asian restaurants in or near Chinatown, lol. You don't need to fight for parking or risks someone running into you or your car. 🥂“

I love that the tvs are on the cooking shows I just wish subtitles were in English.

They baked oysters were so tuff I couldn't finish 2 out of 4. The fire ball roll had 0 spice. They should change the name.

The menu is deceptive. Lobster appetizer has no lobster its all crayfish and snow crab is imitation.

It should be explained because if someone is allergic to crawfish and they ordered lobster appetizer or simply didnt get what they paid for its not good for anyone involved.

The side shrimp noodles was delicious 😋 I loved the mushrooms in it and the angel hair noodles as well as the presentation.

The shrimp salad appetizer was really good too.

The pineapple juice was not worth 3.00 and no refill it wasn't fresh and tasted like water with pineapple additive.

The spider roll tastes burnt inside and fishy. Fried shrimp should not have a weird fishy taste. I've had spider roll many times and nope. I was forced to eat it because they have a strict policy and will charge a fee for left overs.

I normally don't drink soda but I had a Shirley Temple because I needed to cheer my mouth up.

I don't remember what else I ate that I liked but I liked it enough to return.

Next time I will not get the buffet I will order A LA cart and just get the few items I identified that I liked.
