“You have to try the tamales at Johnnys! I am a die hard tamale lover and the tamales were delicious. My recommendation would be the tamales (obviously), fish tacos, tres leches, churros, and chips & salsa! Our waiter was incredible! He was very welcoming, attentive, and polite. Service is extremely important and depending on your waiter and restaurant, it can be hit or miss. However, that was not the case during our visit. Hospitality was prioritized which was evident after meeting both manager and owner. Great experience!“

“Fajita Pete’s has amazing food! For starters, their chips and salsa are incredible—the salsa is warm and the queso is delicious. Their chicken and beef fajitas have an amazing taste, likely due to their fantastic marinade. The place is straightforward and no-frills, perfect for a great meal without the fuss. “Escalante's is a good place to dine in and have a good time either alone or accompanied with friends, specially during happy hour, since they have nice options in their bar bites for guest to try, specially if you're a person who doesn't eat that much, and still wanna have a bite of several dishes but you wouldn't eat a whole meal yourself. Margaritas are really good as well, The Mango Delite Margarita was reeeeallllyyyy good! I highly recommend it. The bartender, Mary is a very sweet and attentive person, always smiley and willing to take care of their guests. You won't get disappointed if you go there! Managers are also very caring and look after their guests!“

“I’ve never been there, but I remember that an idiot named Jason Vicknair talked crazy about this place. Something about his poor little starving wife not getting shredded cheese quickly enough during covid. That guy was a complete tool (probably still is), so I want to do my part to increase ratings. If I’m ever in the Dallas area, I promise to stop by. He had a phony complaint about it being his first date night in months, which was disproved quickly. People found his review history and it was littered with complaints. Basically the dude is a male Karen that deserves ridicule for the rest of his life for being a tool.“

“Today I went for brunch with some friends that were from out of town and were craving Mexican food. So I decided to take them to Escalante’s. We got the delicious fajitas we tried the avocado toast and mimosas! The manager Victor checked on us and the server Denzel was amazing! I highly recommend this spot!“

We sat outside and while we enjoyed our experience there we didn't feel we could sit at one of the tables as there were 2 women with their 3 or 4 children who were rambunctiously playing on the floor between the tables. I felt that their behavior, inattentiveness to their children and disregard for the dining experience or others around them was totally unacceptable. It's a restaurant, not a playground. Teach your children to behave appropriately and have respect for others around you.
