“I live in Charlotte ,NC and I’m in Houston visiting my daughter for her wedding and my 60th birthday. My birthday dinner was at Gringos and it was amazing! Chips and queso were absolutely delicious! Head waiter(forgot the young man’s name) was so sweet, and genuinely amazing! Would recommend and will definitely visit again the next time I’m in Houston! 10/10 5 ⭐️“

“This place is like my home. I have been coming here practically since this location opened and I’m still here almost once a week. The food is always good and the top shelf margaritas are the best you will find anywhere. The staff loves to make their customers happy. Frank the manager/bartender is a friend and I know almost all of the staff and the owners too. It’s the best Mexican food and margaritas in the Houston area. I have brought many of my friends here over the years and they all loved it!“

“Carmen was the cashier who took my order and she was very polite and cheerful. I was greeted with a smile and she answered all my questions that I had. After a long work day it's nice to have someone who has a friendly personality to help you.

My recommendation would be the tamales (obviously), fish tacos, tres leches, churros, and chips & salsa! Our waiter was incredible! He was very welcoming, attentive, and polite. Service is extremely important and depending on your waiter and restaurant, it can be hit or miss. However, that was not the case during our visit. “EDIT 2: Prices up and quality down. Rarely go now. Still love the employees though.
EDIT: For the second time a manager told me they were closed and there was fifteen minutes to close. We are regulars and tip the great staff well. If you want to close before the published time then change your hours. Inexcusable laziness and I'm sure ownership would not approve. If this happens again I will adjust my rating accordingly.

“With so many Tex Mex places in Houston this place is actually so wonderful and we really enjoy the food here more than other places like Ninfa’s or Escalante’s. Their fajitas are sold by the pound and have their signature lime drizzle that makes all the difference. The complimentary chips, salsa, and smokey beans are also amazing and filling. Solid drinks. And our server was so attentive and patient with us we couldn’t have asked for a better service. I wish it wasn’t so dark in the restaurant but I’m picking at straws here. “Best Mexican food ever. I don’t remember how many times I ate fajita in my life but this time was totally different. First, the meat was really tasty and tender and they serve it over a small barbecue to keep the meat warm. Second, the tortillas they bring is house-made tortilla which you feel the difference from a regular supermarket tortilla. The service is exceptional. Every five minutes they asked if we needed anything more. The sauces and tortilla chips were really tasty and abundant. Portions are big and prices are reasonable. To sum up, if I ever go to Houston again, this will definitely be a must visit spot.
