“Went in to watch Sunday football with the family and I was highly impressed! The food was great and the atmosphere was electric. All the games were on massive tvs, and while there was an energy in the room, there is enough spots where you can still be intimate with a group. Our bartender/server was Jessica. She was highly attentive and provided great input on what to order. Great service and friendly! 11 stars, will definitely be going back!“

“Came in for lunch on a Wednesday. Lunch was 11 so it was not busy, but it should be. The restaurant is gorgeous and our server was attentive without being overly invasive. I ordered the fish & chips. The portion was quite generous, especially for a lunch. The plating was quite nice.

“This was our second visit and it was just as great as the first. They have happy hour everyday from 3-6 and it is definitely worth it. We have tried the meatballs, spinach artichoke dip, and a couple of salads. Everything has been well seasoned and prepared to order. The bartender who was working Saturday afternoon is fantastic and makes the best cocktails. The Biscotti old fashioned has been my favorite. The ambience is very cool and the music is solid but not too loud.“

“We went to Wildwood hoping for a really good chicken fried steak, and boy were we disappointed. First of all it was extremely noisy especially for 2:00 on a Sunday. But hoping for the best we stayed and decided to try to spinach artichoke dip. It comes out looking almost like a French onion soup, the top covered with cheese and looks great! However we would have been better off opening a tub from Sam's Club as the one at this restaurant had no flavor whatsoever, you couldn't even make out what it was. We were hungry so we ate it. Next our meals come out. The chicken fried steak was huge, well plated, and looked amazing! Too bad that was as good as it got. It was tender, yet absolutely no flavor at all. My hubby had to drench it in salt & pepper and tobasco to give it any taste. I tried a piece and was extremely disappointed. My meal, the Atlantic Salmon was cooked to my specifications which was a pleasant surprise. Yet it appears the chef counts on the grill to contribute all flavor instead of any seasoning. The basmati rice was nothing more than what I could have prepared at home in a steamer, and as for the jicama slaw, which I was looking forward to trying was unimpressive. Fortunately a small part of the bowl had a smidgen of tomatilla sauce which I used to give the food a little flavor....not much but something. Overall, we spent $61.00 on food that would have been better almost anywhere else at a fraction of the cost. Not worth it, sorely disappointed and will not return. The one thing that is a positive about the restaurant is the staff. Service was excellent. Not impressed at all.“

“Chicken fried chicken is what I had set my mind on. When we arrived, I ened up getting the catfish and added shrimp. The pieces of catfish were small so they ended up giving me 5 (it's the simple things in life that I love). It seemed like a simple cornmeal batter, which I grew up on and wanted. Not sure the spices they add to the batter but I WILL BE BACK TO ORDER MORE!! Staff was extremely friendly and the patrons all seemed to be regulars. My buddy got a burger and onion rings. Burger looked great and I can say the onion rings were absolutely great!

She was patient, kind, attentive to detail, and helped me select some of the top flavors to try. I ordered a six-pack plus a two-pack, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared.

“When I travel I like to find local spots to eat rather than the chain places. I picked out the Ballard Street Cafe because it looked like an older place in an old downtown spot. I was not disappointed as it was exactly what I thought with exposed brick, wood floors, and a 50’s style lunch counter. In addition there were several tables and the required set of local characters sharing breakfast and gossip over coffee. The waitstaff was attentive and polite, and made you feel right at home. To complete the experience, I have to talk about the food. I ordered a 2 egg breakfast with chicken fried steak. It also came with choice of hash browns or grits and b&g, toast, or a pancake. I chose the b&g and grits. First off, the chicken fry was obviously hand breaded and cooked perfectly. They gave me a knife but it was fork tender. The grits were hearty and flavorful. The side of b&g came with TWO homemade biscuits and cream gravy. Everything was awesome! I ended up taking half my steak and the b&g home for a second meal. Getting ALL this with coffee for about $15 with tax almost felt criminal. If you’re ever in Wylie, do yourself a favor and check them out!“

“it's a small diner but was very comfortable. our waitress was very helpful and nice, attentive without being a bother breakfast was delicious. my husband had a veggie omelette packed full of yummy things. I had a fried pork chop and eggs. we enjoyed every bite it was well worth it. we found this just by looking online. glad we went there. if we ever come back this way we would go again.“

“I love this place! Tonight Kelsey was my server. I've had her numerous times before, and the service as always was superb! I drink unsweetened iced tea, and she brings me a new glass of tea before I have even finished the one I am drinking. Everyone is so friendly! The food is great, and if something is wrong with it they quickly replace it. This has only happened a time or two, one of which was my fault for not ordering correctly. In spite of that they still graciously replaced it. I can't recommend this place enough!“

“How have I been living in Dallas, 15 min from here, for 38 years and just now found this place!? Don't like tomatoes or mayo on your burger? Want extra pickles? No fussing with a cashier, there is a toppings bar to dress your burger the way YOU like. Fries were fresh and hot. Staff was friendly and fast. dining area was clean. Burgers were well seasoned and they gave us a generous amount of bacon and crumbled blue cheese. Chili cheese dog was a good, but I wish they would have toasted the hotdog bun. Overall, ten out of ten! We will be back!“

“My cousin and I visited the Cafe this morning for breakfast. Our waiter - Phillip - was amazing! However, the food this time was a little disappointing. My cousin ate her grits and I had the Frech Toast. We also had bacon and potatoes. The bacon was not cooked the way we wanted. A new order was made, but still not satisfactory. And it was very salty. So we did not eat the bacon. Normally the food is outstanding but today's visit was a little off.“

“I’ve been going to Snuffers for about 40 years, started on lower Greenville. Love the food, but dang, wayyyyy too much salt! It’s getting worse every time we go. Our fries were almost inedible. I’m always swollen for a couple days after I eat there. Cut it back!“
