“While on the outskirts of New Braunfels, this charming and unexpected find is worth the few extra minutes it takes to get there. By far the best pizza I have found, and this is coming from a pizza connoisseur from the north east. Surprisingly charming decor and exceptional service, with outstanding drinks (their expresso drinks are second to none) and a team who seem to be very dedicated to customer service! “I was in town with a friend and we went to the Villa two days in a row. It was a great place to hang out , visit, and have some refreshments. The staff was very nice and the musical entertainment was great! I even met a handsome cowboy after a wedding who made sure I got to my uber safely. Sure wish I knew who he was.“

“Decent drinks including a very large selection of "martinis" (though they are pretty far from the classic formula). Lots of events each week going on so check their Facebook page. The music is a bit loud IMO; it can be really hard to hear someone right next to you if you're trying to talk.“

“This place is everything I like! Very personable owners, Bobby and Jen treat you like youre the only person in the room; Very attentive. The drinks were great and the meal top notch! The outside patio was amazing!! In my opinion they nailed the bar experience for me. I love new braunfels and and Guene. I have been to every spot in town but none made me feel as comfortable as I did here. Definitely my new hangout when I come to town. Thank you Bobby and Jen for an awesome experience!!“

“I’m giving this 4 stars because the bartenders were skilled and friendly. But otherwise, it’s a solid 3. The cocktails were made well but that’s about it. This isn’t a “speakeasy” even in the modern sense. There’s no password or fun secrecy, the music is like 2000s R&B, and the small place gets super crowded.“

“My husband and I decided to stop in for a Dessert Martini after our dinner/date night, we live in the area so why not! We loved the atmosphere, it's very relaxing and not wild and crazy. The bar is very clean and has a very nice Ambiance.

“A group is us went and listened to some really fun live music. There were a lot of people on a Friday night. If you want a seat near the stage then get there early. We didn’t mind standing. The bar was very crowded but we got our drinks relatively quickly.“

“Came in yesterday and my goodness the food was awesome! Best fried pickles I’ve had to date. My lemon drop martini was perfect! I had their BLT off the brunch menu and it was amazing. I like chewy bacon and this was a bit crunchy for my taste but still good. Definitely coming back here.“

“Visited The Oyster Bar for lunch on 12/13. Started off with the herb butter broiled oysters, Little Bear oysters from the premium section (which I believe rotates) and their Bloody Gonzo for the drink. The herb oysts were good but lacked that flavor wow factor I hope for with dining out. The description for the Little Bears was spot on and they were terrific. Also a great oyst for those who do not care for the brininess. As for the Gonzo, not a fan of heavily decorated bloody marys but, that's my age talkin and I get the visual goal behind it. With that said, didn't mind this one at all after starting to drink and eat the decor. Was one of the best marys I've had; great flavor along with the flavor of the decor which also complimented the drink (and much better than McAdoo's mary monstrosity). Now, on to the Moonlight Bay oysts. As a Gulf Coast country kid many seasons ago, we had two terms for brininess; normal and extra. Probably why the description for these oysts threw me off. Was expecting more brine but the level (personal taste opinion en route) was absolutely perfect! Didn't overpower but complimented and allowed all the other flavors (including a light touch of sweetness) to come through for beautiful oyst wonder! So much in fact, I ordered quite a few more. Alas, my thumb is getting tired so I'm going to speed this along. Ordered 3 or 4 more different drinks. Each one was terrific. Ordered the hot seafood dip which has a great flavor wow factor. The young lady who served me was perfect; great personality, not pushy, we both had to ask each other to repeat ourselves and both didn't mind, allowed me to enjoy all of the ocean and liquor goodness. Pass along my apologies for forgetting her name. The Oyster Bar is so close to perfect. Could get there if they'd lower the music volume and add oysters Rockefeller to the menu. By some small miracle you decide to do so, don't make a fake Rockefeller like Mcadoo's. Include the dry white wine. Makes all the difference. Now, I'm going to ice my thumb.“

“Update 2023: Unfortunately the Elks isn't what it used to be...... The last few times we've eaten there have been a disappointment, it's been warm inside and they managed to run off good leadership and stewards of the community!!

They always welcome new guests, serve great food, have the best wood dance floor in New Braunfels, and there quite a few special people that volunteer and work there. Dances are always open to the public, so join us sometime!!“

“I'm loving this theater more and more. The convenience of selecting and ordering your own tickets and select snacks at individual kiosks is such a bonus!!! I very much approve of the results of the recent renovations at this New Braunfels location, which is now my favorite movie theater in town. With the addition of an arcade and bowling lanes, it's become a great family night option all under one roof. The self-serve popcorn and drink counters are genius!!! And the popcorn is great for movie theater popcorn. The theaters are very comfortable... good sizes with very nice, large, comfortable seats. This is now my first pick for movies in this town.“
