“Went for a quick bite after taking the teen for her driving test (she passed!) It was just after opening so they didn’t have the full menu available (no falafel) so we chose from the flatbreads. Two of us had the kafta with tahini and one chose sojok with eggs. Both were absolutely delicious and very flavorful. The cashier was so sweet, she carefully explained all the choices to us and made sure we knew which had dairy, and which were more or less spiced. Our food came quickly and looked great. The individual flatbreads were large and completely covered with the toppings. They were soft inside and crisp outside. I want to try everything on the menu! The plan for the future is to arrive a little later and get some falafel too.“

Save your choices for something else.“

“My husband and I ordered two signature cakes from Sugar Bee Sweets this past weekend. We chose a 2-tier lemon cake with the blueberry filling for the wedding cake, and a 1-tier chocolate cake with caramel buttercream and toffee crunch (with extra toffee pieces!) for the groom's cake. THEY WERE AMAZING!! They were picture perfect and tasted fantastic! Also, the online ordering process was very easy and the young lady who helped us pick up our cakes was extremely friendly and helpful! I highly recommend this bakery for any occasion!“

“My family has been coming here ever since I can remember. It's a staple in Grand Prairie. My favorite place to get pan duce and carnitas on the weekend. The pan duce is fresh, and the carnitas are fantastic. Come early on the weekend or you will be in line for a good while.“

“I was very impressed with this donut shop! I've been looking for an alternative to fast food breakfast, and I was happy to see that this shop offered savory sandwiches. I tried the half-moon -- which comes with bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese on their kolache-style roll -- and it was absolutely delicious! More importantly, it sat well and didn't upset my stomach. I also bought a cinnamon roll and a mini apple fritter. The roll was so much bigger than I expected, but it was delicious. The apple fritter was the best I've personally had; I am normally not a fan of them, but the inside was soft while the top was almost caramelized. Both went great with the coffee I had brewed at home. My brother also had a breakfast sandwich (cheese and bacon croissant) and a glazed donut. He loved both. The part I appreciated most, however, was the commitment to their health practices during this current crisis. They've installed high sneeze shields around the entire counter, and the cashier donned a fresh glove before handling my credit card. Due to all of this, we will definitely be back!“

“The Black Rose Donut cafe is more than a donut shop. They are open all day and serve burgers, fries, wings, and more. Not only is the food excellent, it is prices way below other places. “I come regularly on vacation to Dallas and I come to this bakery, I always had friendly treatment, they always gave me my senior discount, I am 69, they always treated me very well even on the phone, today the lady who helped me named Esmeralda did not want me make the discount and also laughed at my argument and my complaint about a previous takeout order that was not good, I would give it 5 stars for the attention they had always given me, but I am disappointed, once again the Latinas treating the women badly Latinas and makes the business look bad. Therefore, everything I always order to take back home, pozole, bolillo and sweet bread, I no longer buy, surely this person doesn't care about one more purchase or one less purchase, but the prestige of the bakery? The treatment of customers is AS important as the quality of the product.“
