“We had an accident at the pool and my fiancee dropped her fresh full drink and they replaced it no questions asked. The bartender was so sweet and kind for doing that. I always liked this place prior but that really set it for me 🙌 highly recommend this place. Great drinks(be careful they aren't afraid of making them stiff) great prices, and even greater staff! 10/10.“

“Fun little distillery and brewery with expansive menu of draft beers as well as cocktails from their rum and whiskey. I enjoyed the blackberry single malt whiskey cocktail.
Their staff are friendly and helpful. There are several tables and bar stools for guests along with picnic tables out back.
The place has a room inside and a stage outside where they host events and activities, including comedy the last Saturday of each month.

“Foxtail was sexy. Let me try to explain:

The vibes were giving warm, dim, intimate without being cramped. The space mixes art deco with a little bit of Spanish flair, tucked beside/adjacent to Mama Betty's. It's big, but arranged in a way that still feels cozy and social. The crowd? Late 20s to early 40s. Grown and attractive. Lively but not chaotic. Vibrant without being loud. Perfect for dressing up a little, socializing and lingering a little.

We Ubered there, so I didn't get a full picture of the parking, but it seems like there may be a little parking garage or validated parking area? Maybe a pay for parking? I would read other reviews.

Most of the staff? Fantastic. Professional, warm, funny. Our assigned waitress, however, gave off overwhelmed and low-energy. She was short with communication and it sort of dulled our sparkle for a moment, but the drinks and vibes quickly brought it back. Had we had another waitress, this place would have been a 10 out of 10. On to the drinks:

Round one: espresso martinis (made with Tito's). Slightly sweet, bold, smooth, and very sippable. No coffee bean decorations on top, but full of flavor. No cream inside...sort of reminding you of a Black Russian. Served in a ribbed coupe glass.

Round two: French 75s with Hendrick's. Punchy lemon flavor, a tad sweet, lower champagne notes but still giving French 75. Garnished with a dried lime slice instead of a lemon. Served elegant in those ribbed coupe glasses (which fit the aesthetic perfectly).

The cocktails are well-crafted and intentional. They aren't overly boozy, but they are balanced, smooth and polished.

Bathrooms? Immaculate. Unisex. Private stall rooms with their own individual doors. Efficient and modern. No long lines. Opportunity to mingle with the opposite sex in the bathroom if that suits your fancy.

Foxtail feels like a good place to start a new chapter. We had good conversations and we enjoyed staying out just a little longer than we planned. Their Happy Hour (4:30-6pm weekdays) is officially on my radar for the future.

I'll be back. I want this place to be routine. 9 out of 10.“

“ABW is growing into this space! Lots of land here and the parking situation is insane. Tons of parking. However if there is a big event or market, Every parking spot is taken and people have to park on the road. ABW does have a good view of the former waste fill site that's now just a hill. Beers are pretty standard and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating at this location.“

“First of all we need to caveat this review with it being Valentines day and it was very busy and probably not a typical dinner night. With that being said the servers and attendants appeared confused and without proper order. We had 4 waiters ask us if we had ordered. Did they not get tables assigned? We ordered a first order of drinks and they were ok, yet our second order were perfect. Consistency was not there on the drinks. The dinner was great yet they did not ask my wife how she wanted her steak and it had to go back to get cooked to her liking. The attendant primarily assigned to us was incredible given how busy he was. Some of the attendants were underdressed for a formal restaurant and took away from the ambience. I would not rate a low end restaurant this hard but to be pricing food the way you do, more is expected. Overall they did good. I know how hard a valentines dinner night can be.“

“This hotel restaurant is 5 minutes from our house. It’s been there for approximately 2 1/2 years and I had no idea it existed. While running errands at five in the evening I decided I didn’t want to cook so I googled restaurants in my zip code. This restaurant popped up with 4.5 stars. The reviews were impressive so we decided to try it. I’m so happy that we did. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The restaurant is lovely, well appointed, and has great ambience. The bar tender, Ray, was so attentive and helpful with the menu. Probably the best martini I’ve ever had. I don’t say that lightly as our business was based in travel so I’ve dined in some very prestigious hotel restaurants as well as enjoyed fine dining during many business dinners. The drinks were stellar and the food exceeded my expectations. We enjoyed the lamb meatballs in an agradolce sauce and the brisket nachos. Both were superb. “Mike is basically a cocktail wizard. The man has the skill, wisdom, and creativity of someone who probably dreams in martini shakers and bitters. Meanwhile, my wife and I kept ordering vodka club sodas. Watching him craft these jaw-dropping works of mixology art for other customers while I pointed at a bottle of vodka felt like asking Picasso to draw me a stick figure.

When we first got there I ordered a Stella and quietly stared at the bar, questioning my life choices. Honestly, I felt like I was disrespecting his Hogwarts-level bartending diploma.

But here’s the thing—Mike still treated us like royalty and made our night at The Domain unforgettable. Do yourself a favor: go see him, ask for the “good stuff,” and prepare to watch him work magic that’ll make you rethink every drink you’ve ever ordered.

The nirgi and rolls were good and pretty fresh.

Some rolls are deep fried so don't want to eat too much or else you will be full fast, which was the mistake the kid had made.

Forgot the name but one of the rolls was very very pinkish in color, the wife was kind of turned off by the appearance. It tasted pretty good though“

“I visit here often. Tonight was the first time I was waited on. Usually I only go there for lunch. My friend and I had a nice glass of white wine, small feta salad and a Gryo, which all were very good BTW.. Also added hummus, some pita bread and extra tzatzikki sauce. Food is great and obviously they have alot of other Greek items. My friend and I went there for a quiet early evening meal. Girl-time catch up. Helen our server was amazing. She was very attentive to our every whim. You just had to tip her more than twenty.“

“We’ve been to The Water Trough a few times now and in aggregate it is a fun and lively place to dine at. The closest parking is the Orange Garage so the walk over is quick. Breakfast or dinner, it is a nice, clean place with a good vibe and good food. The setting at night is much better as they have live music most nights and put up the garage shutter so you can hear it from their outdoor portion as well.

On the breakfast side of things we sat quickly and service was okay. We ordered the Texas breakfast tacos and the pancakes, hash browns, and bacon a la carte. The breakfast tacos were good. We got them with brisket and the portion was huge, although we wish it came with three tortillas instead of two because it was more than we could fit into them. The eggs, cheese, and brisket all came together and despite what reads as a smaller dish, we were pretty full by it. As for the pancakes, hash browns, and bacon; all were pretty classic versions of them. The pancakes were good, thin and sweet. The hash browns were cooked well with a slight crunch and the bacon was the highlight of the three, full of flavor with a nice chew and crisp. We also ordered chocolate milk, but whatever we got was NOT chocolate milk. It was closer to a frothed drink and had cinnamon in it which was a bit strange. The waitress could clearly see we were not feeling it and she comped it on our bill which was very, very nice of her to do without asking.

The dinner here is much better than the breakfast admittedly. The live music certainly helps and the vibe with the low lighting gives it a very nice feel when dining. We had the country fried steak and LSC burger, both very good. The country fried steak was one of the better ones we’ve had here, extremely savory and the fries were good too. The burger was juicy and full of flavor as well. Beware the fries here are really home fries or cubed fries in case geometry is not your thing.

Ultimately, The Water Trough is a very good place to eat at and is probably a bit overlooked due to its location in The Domain, but between solid food and good live music scene, we don’t see why anyone wouldn’t want to stop by. We’d recommend this spot as an alternative to the hustle and bustle of the north Domain and for those preferring a more relaxed and intimate night of food and music.“

Loved the service and atmosphere our family went there last night for my husband's birthday. My filet was not tender and the cook on outside of the filet was very tough. The lobster tail was over cooked and tough and very small.“
