“This place is kind of strange. The food is Japanese but there's also a sort of Baskin Robbins feel from the waffle cone irons and ice cream counter. The food Meade selection was good, with some on tap. Food is almost too pretty to eat.“

“My first experience of a shabu shabu restaurant.Great place to come for a date or a wholesome dinner with friends.Did not try omakase but still had a lot of options on ala carte. Tried the pork shoulders, seafood meatballs, new zealand salmon, cured escolar, local mushrooms, silken tofu, blue crab gyoza. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. The ponzu and sesame complementary dips with the broth were very good but I definitely recommend the truffle sukiyaki dip on the side, it was delicious. The ambience is very cozy and nice. The staff is very nice, they were very helpful and took really good care of us.“

“Choo Sando is an experience. When you walk in, the restaurant greets you with very friendly staff, a clean and inviting atmosphere, and an appealing array of food options. I’ve visited many times for their sandos, but most recently decided to try the sushi/sashimi plates. Everything that I’ve eaten from this restaurant has been the highest quality and tastes delicious. I would highly recommend Choo Sando to everyone!Quick note: arrive first thing when they open to ensure nothing is sold out by the time you arrive. There will be a line!“

“Tatsumi is my favorite sushi spot whenever I'm in the mood for high quality fish and great vibes. I'm always impressed by the sushi selection. Tiffany the owner is always so kind and always checks in to make sure we're having a good time. Her team is always so helpful and during our last visit we had the pleasure of being hosted by Vin-- who btw is always very knowledgeable about the menu and fish options. Tatsumi never disappoints!“

“I would give the service an extra star if I could. Uchiko is definitely a place for special occasions and you should absolutely make that here. The food was amazing, well explained, and they did a great job accommodating for a food allergy, and even asked us if we wanted to try something new and it was excellent. The food is top quality, service is as good as you can get, and the atmosphere was great (though we got there early). Cannot recommend enough.“

“I have been dying to try Chef Choo's shop for a while now and I am so sad I didn't stop by sooner! The chef's special box that I chose today was truly an amazing experience! The cuts of sushi are so soft and delicious, with meticulous handcraft going into preparing them. The owners were on-site whipping up new masterpieces in the back, with a clean dining area to enjoy this box! If you get the opportunity to stop by, please do!너무 맛있었어요. ^^ 감사합니다. 다시 먹으러 올게요. ㅎㅎ 화이팅!“

“I planned to go to Chinatown North for dim sum but the sign at the entrance said to head downstairs for dim sum, where Street is below. The waiter said they are connected but different establishments and the dim sum servers upstairs would come from the lower kitchen anyway. I ate here with a close friend after wrapping up weekend meetings in Austin. The place has a good vibe and friendly service, quite modern and clean. We shared six items and everything had great flavor, with the turnip cake and prawn siu mai being my favorites. Above average pricing for dim sum but I think that comes with the experience. Good spot for a date or with friends. I would go back.Parking: Free parking lot around the building.“

“Our go to sushi spot in Austin. Always good, reasonably priced, and reliable. They even have booths to mimic seating on a Japanese floor.Vegetarian options: Cucumber roll, agedashi tofu, miso soup, edamame vegetable tempura, and moreParking: When busy can be hard to find parking. May be able to park in lots next door, but not sure of towing policy. Entrance to parking lot is narrow and easy to miss.Kid-friendliness: The booths are more kid friendly for those with toddlers bc they can semi-walk around inside them without bothering other guests. You can also fit infant car seats comfortably inside and tucked out of the way. But you are required to take off your shoes for the booths“

“The restaurant has a great selection of delicious and affordable Japanese food. I’ve ordering here for a while now and the fishes are always fresh and the sushi pieces are big. They have an amazing gyoza and special sushi rolls. Also, they offer lunch specials with a great price (Monday to Saturday from 11:00-2:30pm).“

“This might be our new favorite sushi restaurant. The mango salmon roll was fantastic, and the carrot top roll was amazing.Kid-friendliness: The menu has a single "kids' meal." It isn't much, but it's more than most similar restaurants.“

“I got the Bulgogi Bento box, really great value it came with a salad, 2 pieces of a cali roll, two gyoza, tempura and rice!!! So if you want amazing food without breaking the bank go here! The place is small only three actual tables to sit but very worth it, there also is no booze if that is you thing. Staff is very friendly and it’s Pat at the counter.“

“Great place for Sushi and Authentic Korean food!! Most places just give the add on Korean sides that are just ok and good with the meal but man, seriously, the Sides here are delicious!! It's been a minute since I've been here but glad to see that food is still great and customer service is awesome! I highly recommend this place for Korean food“

“The atmosphere reminds me of the mercados near Mi Tierra, and the owners were very sweet and only added a coziness that was complimented by the beautiful art within the restaurant. The taste of the food here is as immaculate as it is comforting. A perfect place to go for an evening night out with family, friends, and loved ones.“

“Was my first time here and no one explained how their specific system works. They fill the restaurant in waves. That group eats & leaves. The next wave of customers can come inside. This means you may be outside for 40 minutes until it’s your line’s turn. The ramen was nice. ?“
“Visited Chuy's on Lamar with friends. This was our first nite in Austin, and Chuy's set the bar pretty high! With drinks and a huge variety of chips and salsas, we were happy campers! Dinner was good, but the best part of our visit was our server, Lil Debb! Outstanding service! She even went the extra mile to provide us with suggestions and directions!“

“This is a great Japanese restaurant. Not only its authentic Japanese food but also I want to mention staff services are one of the best.I like their lunch bento which I can enjoy several dishes in one plate. At dinner, it’s nice talking with sushi chef at the counter and they serve across the counter which is really an exceptional experience that I can feel Japan.“

“Service, you order and pay on a screen, they bring you your food. That said, there's no service. You get your own drinks and everything. They have condiments, napkins, chopsticks, and to-go boxes sitting available for your use.Had One of the bento box lunch specials, which I believe was $16. Was a lot of food, will probably be 1.5 meals worth. It came with a deep fried roll that was very sweet, the normal California style roll, egg roll, pork goyza, Small arugula salad with peanut sesame sauce maybe?, edamame. They forgot the miso soup that came with it, but when reminded, brought it promptly.I have something like crab rangoons we also got, were strange but pretty okay. Probably would not get again as they came in an egg roll like fashion but other than the typical.Friends got Ramen Curry, was really good.“

“The sushi was so fresh, creative, amazing experience! We had a tuna tataki appetizer and multiple orders of Nigiri with Hokkaido scallops, New Zealand king, salmon, bluefin tuna, and a longhorn roll, and Fiery Kiss roll which were delicious! We will keep coming back!!!“

“The food and flavors were fantastic. We ordered crab Rangoon, edamame, and fried calamari appetizers and then Tokyo Ramen, Rice Bowl with chicken teriyaki, and a Bento box with steak. The meat was absolutely unreal. Perfectly cooked and flavored. My daughter got strawberry and said 9/10 (could have been colder - you’ll see it was a little mushy in the pic).“

“Honestly something special. From the food to the people. I probably shouldn't be saying this because I love that great peaceful atmosphere but it's worth letting the world know. From someone that thinks they fell in love with this local low key spot“

“I enjoyed it. I was impressed at the service from the only server in the entire restaurant. He was able to manage like 10 different tables at the same time. My only complaint would be with the Toro nigiri, which for 9 dollars a piece, I would appreciate it not having bones. Everything else was delicious.“
“Honestly, a pretty decently priced restaurant! And the food is high quality too! Shared an appetizer and the sashimi bowl with a friend and we were both decently full at the end. The takoyaki is so creamy and it comes out nice and warm. Would definitely recommend that. And the sashimi bibimbap is so worth it. For $23 you get a huge bowl of sashimi, rice, and vegetables. And you get to mix it all like bibimbap.“

“A seemingly odd assortment of specific Asian fusion snack and dessert options with kind of a cute name. A weird sample platter of Japanese rice balls (onigiri) and filled fish shaped cake (taiyaki) , Korean shaved ice desserts (bing su), smoothies and boba. The fusion rice balls are tasty enough. The mango boba was very sweet and the tapioca balls could be softer. The combo's are a good deal. The guy taking our order at the counter was cheerful and nice. Not really a full meal / family dinner place. This place is more like a pretty good snack / hang out place. There are a lot of large tables and a good amount of space to hang out with friends.Parking is difficult with the shared lot with all the other restaurants and 99 Ranch.Parking: Parking is difficult with the shared lot with all the other restaurants and 99 Ranch.“

“I enjoyed this "burger speakeasy" inside ZEN. The concept is pure genius, and the execution is even better.I recently tried the Swagyu Cheeseburger, Chicken Katsu, sidewinder fries, and house-made Asian slaw, and the flavors blew me away. The Asian seasonings and sauces really take these dishes to the next level. The Swagyu burger was juicy and flavorful, and the chicken katsu was crispy and tender. The sidewinder fries were a fun twist on the classic, and the Asian slaw was the perfect refreshing accompaniment. The service was also excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who clearly take pride in their work.Good stuff! Check it out.“

“I love this place so much. I’ve been Ordering both takeout and dine in for years and years. Before all else it’s my favorite restaurant in this area. The food is excellent and the price is right. I love that they carry Shirakiku Ramune Drinks. even the simplest dish at this restaurant seems to be made with quality as the main ingredient. The experience from start to finish is great the staff is really helpful and you don’t know what to order. They’re really patient and will walk you through the menu. i’ll never stop going here as long as it stays how it’s been.Keep up the great work and I look forward to being your customer for many years to come.“

“Tasty food in an intimate atmosphere. I would not come here to fill my belly. There really weren't "meal" options to be had. If you're looking for a quaint spot to enjoy quiet conversation and something tasty, then give this place a shot.“
