“Really enjoyed eating at Happy Family Chinese Buffet. The food was fresh, there was a good variety to choose from, and everything I tried tasted good. The staff was friendly and kept things moving even when it was busy. The restaurant could use a little improvement in a few areas, but overall it was a solid experience and definitely worth coming back to.“

“The atmosphere is relaxing with soft music in the background. They even had a TV going with a show. The food was ok. The sushi itself was good. The salmon was moist and the desserts were full of flavor. My favorite over all was the crab rangoon. Our waitress was so sweet and checked on us regularly, kept our drinks filled and removed completed dishes promptly. She even went out of her way to fix a plate for me after a short discussion about an issue I had. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.“

“The food was nothing to write home about. It wasn’t well seasoned, but it wasn’t horrible either.

I was especially disappointed with the egg rolls. They don’t offer sweet-and-sour sauce—just packets of duck sauce and mustard, and the brands they gave us were disgusting! 😖 The egg rolls definitely tasted like the prepackaged, bulk kind, and they were filled with quite literally nothing but cabbage.

Overall, just really disappointing. 😞 I miss when you could tell restaurant owners took pride in the food they served. Unfortunately, that seems harder and harder to find these days.

We paid $54 for 3 dishes: Mongolian beef, happy family, and house lomein, and 3 eggrolls, that around $18 a person, kind of pricey I think.

Oh well… this one definitely won’t be added to our favorites. But we may go back and give them another try, definitely not getting eggrolls. 🥹“

“I’m from the Caribbean, so I don’t play when it comes to flavor and this place delivers every single time. The food is always seasoned perfectly, rich, and actually tastes like something, not bland like a lot of spots out here. Our family does TAKEOUT and DELIVERY from here on our “don’t feel like cooking nights”.

The portions are solid for the price, and what really stands out is how well they follow special requests. Every tweak I’ve asked for, they’ve gotten right, which is rare. And the spring rolls? Easily the best I’ve had in Houston so far…..crispy, flavorful, and just done right.

Honestly, don’t let the stars or ratings scare you off. This is hands down the only place I recommend if you want genuinely good, tasty Chinese food on this side of town.“

“Everything was outstanding from the time I walked in. I ordered takeout at the counter. The chicken wings were made to order and made it take a couple minutes more , but were well worth the wait, best wings ive ever had, and at very reasonable price. The egg drop soup was perfect and i requested some green onion on the side, in which was provided in a souffle cup and were fresh. Also ordered the combination (house special)egg foo young with fried rice, wow , a very generous portion. It'll take me 2 days to eat all this delicious food. Kudos for providing such outstanding service, generous portions and delicious food.“

“I got take out today!! This place is delicious I got the Singapore noodles, hot and sour soup and an egg roll! The taste was delicious so much flavor just enough spice and curry! I would eat this daily! The only time I had Singapore noodles better was in China Town in New York!

“Solid and dependable, even at 8:30pm when everything else is closing and you’re starting to get desperate. This location is easy to miss because it's tucked against the inner wall just past the food court entrance so if you’re scanning from the main walkway, you might walk right by it.

Food was fresh, hot, and ready to go and the service was great- fast, efficient, and exactly what you want when you’re in airport mode. Our go-tos: Orange Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, White or Brown Rice, Lo Mein, and/or Veggies. For me, Panda Express is the closest thing to “homey” comfort food you’ll find in most food courts, and it’s fast as hell. This panda understood the assignment.“
