“Today I finally tried Layne’s, it was wonderful. The chicken is so much better than Canes or Slim Chickens. This is the best chicken I’ve had besides making homemade tenders, which is exactly what it reminded me of. The chicken was tender and the crust/batter is crispy. But, I don’t eat anything that comes out of the water, so a little concern is there. WOW! What a menu, huge choice of non - seafood items ( a rarity). Everything I ordered was top notch and delicious. My Cowgirl got the Seafood Platter and enjoyed every bite. So, good food, very good service and an excellent atmosphere. What else could a man want…yes, My Cowgirl is first rate also. Definitely worth the trip, and we will be back.”

Also ordered a supreme, which is nothing extraordinary, but it all seemed fresh and great quality ingredients. There dough and sauce. Chefs kiss. 😚 It’s nice to see people having fun at work and still getting their job done. Great atmosphere maybe not necessarily the most romantic but a good spot to grab a bite to eat, a beer and chat with friends. Very home town vibes. “Eat at this location nearly every other Friday, and it’s usually very fast, friendly and accurate. However, Friday the 10th, this was not the case. As I didn’t recognize more than two folks, I figure there are a bunch of new hires. Large fries were less than half-full, 5-count nuggets had two that were simply bread & didn’t get the requested sauces. Since we were a dine-in customer, the issues were resolved quickly and efficiently… but had I been a drive-thru order, I might not return. Luckily, I’m sure it was a fluke, and I know they usually do a lot better, so I’ll be back. This is simply a heads up for the managers that y’all weren’t on your game today. 2/10/2023 @ 1145.”
