“Maaan can’t even begin! Finally made the trip to see Nikki and the fam, just beyond. Warm and treated like family the whole time. Stopped in to try the catfish plate and get some of them Sweet Potato Thangs! Ended up walking out with 5 bags between plates and sweets. First, the catfish, a solid 8.7/10 crispy breading, SEASONED! Second, them chicken wings, while I did not personally have them, the kids were quiet and smackin the whole time and said they were just as good as their Nana’s chicken and that’s the best chicken we’ve ever had so I’ll say it was highly rated as well. Just know them Thangs, are THE THANG for a reason. For someone who does not care for sweet potato pie, that thang was delicious. Try the pickles, too! The cherry pickles were my personal fave and I’ve never been one to try the kool-aid pickle trend.“

“i grew up in sachse and have been going to this donut shop since i was a kid. this is my boyfriend and i’s FAV donut shop!! the manager/owner that works the drive thru everyday is the sweetest lady ever! we’ve been going so much she remembers our order. we love the drive thru option and the fact that they have egg and cheese sandwiches bc my boyfriend doesn’t eat pork. the donuts and kolaches are always soooooo yummy, and my boyfriend obviously loves their egg sandwiches.“

“You don't often find a place with 100% on reviews but if anywhere deserves that score it is Latinos Bakery. The thing is; calling it a bakery is only half the story. They also have fresh cooked tamales and an entire menu of authentic Mexican cuisine. I've tried a number of things but the tamales and tacos are my favorite. The tacos are the pre-Covid price of $8.49 for 5 and the tamales are $20 a dozen. They are worth EVERY PENNY! I love the Roja sauce and my wife likes the verde. The pork tamales are the best but the chicken and cheese are amazing as well. The pastries and such are what give it the bakery name but the real treat is the Tres Leches cake. They have classic or chocolate and both are amazing. I just can't recommend this place enough. The they are always nice and smiling to me and even let me try stuff if I'm curious but not ready to commit to ordering a whole plate. This is how every business needs to be run! Now excuse me, I need to rest because I nearly overdosed on tamales and tres leches!“

“This place is very neat and tidy for a pan place. Every week I bring my two children in to get pan, and the cashier lady is so sweet to them, talking to them. The pastries are also evenly set out and neatly placed. It's a very nice establishment.

“This place is next door to a donut store and I always think "why the hell would you ever go to a donut store when this place is right here?"

They even have breakfast burritos 🌯 which will beat whatever you can get at a donut store 10 times out of 10. One other unique thing about this panaderia is that they serve chicken and pork tamales 7 days a week. Most places only serve them on weekends!

I didn't get tamales today but I've tried them and I say get the pork ones for extra flavor. The side green salsa is spicy so watch out.

They switch out the types of bread they sell daily, but the more sturdy "cookie" types, breads, and classic warm Conchas are guaranteed daily. The more elusive stuff to find will be the empanadas, because we live in Texas and empanadas spoil in heat and humidity so the bakeries have to be careful when deciding to bake them.

I was blessed to find the pumpkin empanadas today, even if this October has been an unusually hot one.

“My search for some good authentic Mexican conchas has finally ended!! I lived in Grand Prairie for 3yrs and they have one panaderia that left me longing the sweet taste of authentic Mexican conchas. Moving back to Garland, I found nothing that compared to them...until now.
Their conchas are everything you've missed from Mexico. They're just the right amount of fluffy and savory and the topping is just perfect- not too much, not too little and perfect amount of sweetness.
Haven't been there personally but my husband said the staff is polite and pleasant. For those who complain about them running out of bread early, what do you expect? It's a bakery. No different than donut shops who run out by 10am or so...“

Joan’s cherry cheesecake was so delicious. It blows the cheesecake factory out of the park! It was so creamy and the cherries were the best we’ve ever tasted. “The Love Confection came through for me this week. 2 days prior my 18th anniversary I finally remembered that it was our anniversary this week. AHHH! No worries, cause Love is around the corner with Love Confections. Love, the owner, understood how special this German Chocolate cake needed to be and she did not disappoint. My custom German Chocolate cake was ready for pick up the next day and saved my marriage. I'm a heavy set guy and I know my food. This cake had smooth chocolate, fresh and moist layered bread with pecans and coconut, with cherries on top. This was the best cake I could have asked for. Thank you The Love Confection“
