I did not get the name of the young gentleman working that morning but he was so helpful and patient and helped me decide on my order. Wonderful and pleasant customer service seems hard to come by these days but they were excellent”

“Supporting small family owned businesses is one of my favorite things to do, and Big Aloha's Ali'i Cove absolutely delivered! We recently used their catering menu for a special gathering, and from start to finish, the customer service was phenomenal. They even worked with our Sunday event date to make everything happen. The food was fresh, authentic, and delicious so much so the teri beef, fried noodles, mochiko chicken, mac salad, and cupcakes disappeared fast. Unfortunately, the only pictures I managed to take were of the cupcakes because everyone was too busy enjoying the food. That's probably the best compliment a caterer can receive! If you're looking to add something different, flavorful, and authentic to your table, I highly recommend giving them a try. It's always rewarding to support a local family business that takes such pride in what they do. You'll find them right here in Universal City off Pat Booker Road. “My husband and I had dinner there last night for the first time. The young lady who took our order was very patient and friendly. The food arrived to our table within a few minutes and it was great. Prime rib was on point and the pork ribs were as well. I could eat a whole plate of their green beans. A man, maybe a manager, came to assist us at our table as we were trying to get my hubby's wheelchair closer in for him to eat. Great experience over all and we will be back and recommend to friends.”

“Everything was amazing from start to finish! Bella Sera on Pat Booker is an absolute gem. From the moment we sat down, we were impressed. The garlic knots came out warm and flavorful, perfectly setting the tone. The soup was rich and comforting, and the Caesar salad was crisp and fresh with just the right amount of dressing. I had the baked ziti for my entrée, and it was everything you want in classic Italian comfort food, cheesy, saucy, and satisfying. And to top it all off, the cannoli was perfection: crisp shell, creamy filling, just sweet enough. It was a wonderful combination of flavors and portions were so generous I had plenty to take home. Highly recommend, can’t wait to go back!”

“We had an early dinner this afternoon. The food was fabulous. We had the shrimp and catfish. The food was exceptionally fresh, the batter they use is wonderful and the coleslaw is about the best I’ve eaten in my 74 years. The food was hot and served quickly and the waitstaff is phenomenal. The place is clean and everyone was so gracious. Highly recommend!!”

“I will be stopping here every day! The staff is so uplifting and friendly. The gentleman at the door (the face of the restaurant you see on the way in and the way out) is phenomenal! I literally leave in a better mood every morning. (even when I am already in a good mood!) The food is great the servers are great and the price is right. If you are one of the folks who had come here pre-covid and experienced the opposite, let me tell you, this is not the same place. This is worth the drive over even when I am not on my way to work!!”

“The Purple Pig was recommended to me, and I recommend this outstanding BBQ eatery enthusiastically. The best pulled pork BBQ I've eaten has been in Tennessee. Nothing to compare. We'd pick up frozen pulled pork in Tennessee and bring it back to Texas as a treat. Nothing to compare until our first visit to The Purple Pig in June. Meets and exceeds our high standards to perfection. Don't miss this delightful experience. There are many things that makes the pulled pork extraordinary. Quality. Pecan smoked, not common to Texas. Wonderful sides. Add to the excellence of the food is the service and the quaint, charming setting. Five stars.”

Also ordered the Ban Chay, the vegetarian vermicelli soup in Thai broth. To drink we ordered two black boba teas, one mango and the other jasmine milk tea.
