“The older man that waited on us was so very nice and attentive. The food was extremely delicious. The shrimp was some of the best tasting shrimp that I’ve had in a longtime. I also Had a piece of catfish. It was cooked perfectly. The only thing that I would have like more is if the black film was removed from the fish prior to being cooked. Leaving that on the fish makes it taste a little muddy. Because I know this, I sc It off before eating it. Otherwise, it all was cooked to perfection.”

“The food was amazing and very fresh. Service equally good. It's not an easy place to find (it's literally behind LOL Liquor and Google Maps gets it wrong). The parking is limited and the restaurant is pretty small BUT did I mention the sushi? - FREAKING AMAZING and worth the rest.”

“Great place! Was in the area and saw this hidden gem tucked away in the corner of a strip mall on Pat Booker Rd. Served me with a smile and pleasant attitude, even though I was dining alone. The restaurant is clean and the cuisine was delicious! I had the veal parmigiana which isn’t easy to find in the San Antonio area. Thank you!”

“The only reason I didn't give a 5 is because of how often they are closed when they say open. We moved and so we rarely go anymore and drove down from NB today to find a sign on front saying they don't open until 2 instead of 11 due to catering. Pretty disappointing. Love it otherwise no other Hawaiian in the area compares.”

I took the time to write this review because today I absentmindedly walked in at 5:15pm while they were visibly closed (at 5pm). They stopped what they were doing and made my drinks. “I get it. Lots of options. You are sitting in your comfortable house in San Antonio, or New Braunfels... browsing breweries. There are many closer to you than Cactus Land. You could opt for the 15 min drive.....sure. But, can I implore you to take the 35 min drive? Yes, the hours are weird...but you are smart. Check the website, you can figure it out. 1st and 3rd weekends of the month, Fri/Sat/Sun. Open the calendar app, make an appointment for yourself! With great risk comes great reward. CL is awesome! The beer is amazing, but the vibes are even better. If they are open, there will be food options. Awesome swag. The staff feels like family. No reason not to go! Drink local!”

“Wednesday night, cooler weather in March, moderate crowd, family friendly. The bar stools were all filled, but the single bar tender managed very well. There is a lot of seating throughout the inner building and exterior. There were at least 5 food trucks open, which is a lot more than other places we've been on a weeknight. The food at the "sisters tacos and more" food truck was extremely good. We had the corn in the cup and birria quesadilla, it wasn't the best I ever had, but they did not skimp on the birria! The only thing keeping me from 4 stars is the liquor selection could have been larger. They had the basics and had decent cheap specialty drinks but could expand on liquor flavors and selections. I'd 100% recommend this spot and will be back!”

“We found this little gem located on Universal City. We order the pepper steak and the O'cha spring rolls. The food was very delicious and the people were friendly. However, it was a little hard to understand the person who took our order over the phone. There is very little parking in the front as it's shared with other businesses. But the food is worth coming back.”
