“Rabel’s Roadhaus BBQ absolutely made our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding in La Vernia unforgettable this past weekend! The chicken and beef fajitas were incredibly tender and packed with flavor—served alongside rice, beans, and all the fajita fixings, every single guest left happy and full. Beyond the amazing food, the staff at Rabel’s truly stood out. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure both the wedding party and our guests were taken care of the entire time. That level of service made such a special day even more memorable. Even though we live in East Texas, we’ll definitely be stopping by Rabel’s every chance we get when we’re near La Vernia. If you’re looking for incredible BBQ or top-notch catering, do yourself a favor and check them out—you won’t be disappointed! We love them!”

“Supporting small family owned businesses is one of my favorite things to do, and Big Aloha's Ali'i Cove absolutely delivered! We recently used their catering menu for a special gathering, and from start to finish, the customer service was phenomenal. They even worked with our Sunday event date to make everything happen. The food was fresh, authentic, and delicious so much so the teri beef, fried noodles, mochiko chicken, mac salad, and cupcakes disappeared fast. Unfortunately, the only pictures I managed to take were of the cupcakes because everyone was too busy enjoying the food. That's probably the best compliment a caterer can receive! If you're looking to add something different, flavorful, and authentic to your table, I highly recommend giving them a try. It's always rewarding to support a local family business that takes such pride in what they do. You'll find them right here in Universal City off Pat Booker Road. “Stopped by Jolt for the first time ever the morning of 2/14/26 and had a lovely experience with the staff. I did not get the name of the young gentleman working that morning but he was so helpful and patient and helped me decide on my order. Wonderful and pleasant customer service seems hard to come by these days but they were excellent”

“We had an early dinner this afternoon. The food was fabulous. We had the shrimp and catfish. The food was exceptionally fresh, the batter they use is wonderful and the coleslaw is about the best I’ve eaten in my 74 years. The food was hot and served quickly and the waitstaff is phenomenal. The place is clean and everyone was so gracious. Highly recommend!!”

“Everything was amazing from start to finish! Bella Sera on Pat Booker is an absolute gem. From the moment we sat down, we were impressed. The garlic knots came out warm and flavorful, perfectly setting the tone. The soup was rich and comforting, and the Caesar salad was crisp and fresh with just the right amount of dressing. I had the baked ziti for my entrée, and it was everything you want in classic Italian comfort food, cheesy, saucy, and satisfying. And to top it all off, the cannoli was perfection: crisp shell, creamy filling, just sweet enough. It was a wonderful combination of flavors and portions were so generous I had plenty to take home. Highly recommend, can’t wait to go back!”

“I will be stopping here every day! The staff is so uplifting and friendly. The gentleman at the door (the face of the restaurant you see on the way in and the way out) is phenomenal! I literally leave in a better mood every morning. (even when I am already in a good mood!) The food is great the servers are great and the price is right. If you are one of the folks who had come here pre-covid and experienced the opposite, let me tell you, this is not the same place. “The Purple Pig was recommended to me, and I recommend this outstanding BBQ eatery enthusiastically. The best pulled pork BBQ I've eaten has been in Tennessee. Nothing to compare. We'd pick up frozen pulled pork in Tennessee and bring it back to Texas as a treat. Nothing to compare until our first visit to The Purple Pig in June. Meets and exceeds our high standards to perfection. Don't miss this delightful experience. There are many things that makes the pulled pork extraordinary. Quality. Pecan smoked, not common to Texas. Wonderful sides. Add to the excellence of the food is the service and the quaint, charming setting. Five stars.”

“We loved the environment (cultural music, art and videos), the service and the food!! We ordered the combination fried rice of chicken and tofu with the spicy sauce on the side. Also ordered the Ban Chay, the vegetarian vermicelli soup in Thai broth. To drink we ordered two black boba teas, one mango and the other jasmine milk tea.
