“We just moved here to st hedwig and I found this local restaurant, I wanted to try their breakfast after reading the positive reviews and they did not disappoint. We stopped quickly to get 4 bacon egg and bean tacos to go, my husband who is really picky loved them and so did I. The tacos were so delicious along with the beans, the tortilla was very soft. I definitely want to come here again to dine in ?

“I will be stopping here every day! The staff is so uplifting and friendly. The gentleman at the door (the face of the restaurant you see on the way in and the way out) is phenomenal! I literally leave in a better mood every morning. (even when I am already in a good mood!) The food is great the servers are great and the price is right. If you are one of the folks who had come here pre-covid and experienced the opposite, let me tell you, this is not the same place. This is worth the drive over even when I am not on my way to work!!“

That was my go to restaurant for my 92 year old Dad for 40 years. He ordered the Mexican plate and was delighted everything was delicious. “This is my favorite taco truck in San Antonio. I go at least once every week. I get pastor or tripas tacos normally. They LOAD them full of meat and they are always well seasoned. The family that owns the truck is also very nice and the customer service is great. I recommend this truck to literally everyone I talk to!!“

“We came to visit family and happened to find this delicious breakfast spot. I am very picky on my menudo and this spot nailed it. It was very delicious. We had breakfast chorizo and eggs. It was very good. And also the barbacoa tacos were amazing as well. I know it’s not in a papular area but if you’re looking for good breakfast make sure you go check them out. 7am the earliest is when they open now not sure why.

The food is actually very good from someone who has been many places globally.
The young man at the counter is very shy but kind and has to put up with the sometimey cook in the back.

Don’t be shocked to hear them say they don’t want to make something and the order is too big.(usually it’s not)
Not very good for business.
They will put restrictions on how many of a certain item you can buy.
Overall this isn’t the prettiest place to stop but they keep it clean at the tables and they don’t too long to get your food out to you.
Small mom and pop shop so come with that in mind and you will get some pretty good tacos for sure.
Tea is a bit too sweet for my liking but heck I don’t like diabetes on my first sip.

“We started going to this restaurant about 15 years ago when we lived in San Antonio. We were so busy with our own business that we ate there several times a week, the food was so good and very reasonably priced. We moved away about 10 or 11 years ago, and we continue to go back whenever we are in town. On this particular trip, we brought my brother and niece to show them what a great restaurant it is.“

“We placed a to go order for four people. The girl taking our order was very nice and the order was ready in a timely fashion. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals of street tacos , biraccho beans, chicken quesadilla, and chicken fajita taco salad. Definitely a good choice!“

I found out as I was leaving and almost getting on the main road and saw this girl running full speed towards my truck. Telling me a didn't get my four. Her name is Theresa and I am really impressed on her effort to get me the rest. That shows real dedication to the customers and my crew was really happy to get those tacos. “First time at Alondras in La Vernia,TX. A gem of a Mexican restaurant, friendly hometown atmosphere. I ordered A Gordita and A Tostada, both with picadillo as the meat choice. The Gordita was stuffed with just the right amount of freshly prepared ingredients to make it delicious, and I might add it was not greasy at all like you may experience at some other restaurants. The Tostada was equally tasty, freshly prepared and crispy. The complimentary chips and salsa were an extra bonus to round up my meal.“

“The people that work here are so nice and always seem like they’re in a good mood even when it’s pretty busy. The girls that work the drive thru always write positive notes on the receipt like “Have a blessed day” and it is just the sweetest thing. I don’t care for fast food but when I am craving something or need food in a hurry I always choose the Taco Bell because I know atleast the service is gonna be a good experience and the people cheer me up just seeing them in a good mood.
