“We hosted a Celebration of Life at BJ's Brewhouse, Hwy 281 N. Could not have been more satisfied with the atmosphere, service, and especially the food. There were 80 of us with the Pizza and Salad Buffet. EVERYBODY there remarked how wonderful how wonderful the pizza and service were. I've heard terms like "never had pizza this good", "the service was excellent", "wonderful place." I highly recommend this particular location for events. EXCELLENT.“

“Fantastic food and great service. The crab Rangoon were on the small side but perfectly fried. I had the Tom Yum soup, which had an odd sweetness to it, but was tasty otherwise. The crispy tofu were well-cooked. My partner had the Flying Tiger chicken with orange sauce, which had the best tempura breading I've ever had in my life. It was also a massive dish that easily served the two of us and left me taking some of my soup home to finish.

It's a small restaurant but everything was cooked to perfection. I'll definitely be returning, and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal to warm themselves up with.

We were there to celebrate our first anniversary and aside from being a special occasion, my husband is a huge Yankee’s fan, so we were excited and quickly let down by the service we received. The dining space is simple, but quite lovely, and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Service was excellent and perfectly balanced in attentiveness. With hours of 7 AM to 4 PM, this is a breakfast and lunch place, with a varied and adventurous menu that caters to meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and diners in need of gluten-free alternatives. On my first visit, I had the excellent spicy fried chicken sandwich, with sides of home fries and a wonderful arugula salad with cherry tomatoes, quinoa, and a balsamic vinaigrette perfectly blended between sweet and acidic. I look forward to returning again and sampling the extensive breakfast menu. Plenty of beverages are available, and there is a stately espresso machine that speaks to a restaurant that means business when it comes to coffee. This area of Potranco has been in dire need of a sit-down coffee house alternative to Starbucks, and ELISE CUISINE is it. I’ll admit that I was initially a bit cowed by the menu prices, but the portions are very generous; I left with half my meal unfinished, so I was really getting two meals for the price of one, and in truth, virtually all the dine-in, non-fast food alternatives in the area are similarly priced, with nowhere near the ambience and elegance. I plan to be a regular at ELISE CUISINE from here on out.“

“I’ve been coming to Kung Fu Noodle for about two years now and it NEVER disappoints! Food quality is always great and soo good. When it comes to the soup; they have two types of noodles, wide or thin and spice levels ranging from 1-5. I prefer thin and spice level 2 to leave room to make it spicier with the tasty hot oil they provide at the table. 😊“

“Another Yelp gem! Our family was craving traditional Chinese food. Most of the places I was finding in the area were mainly Americanized Chinese food. Even this place had mainly general tsos chicken and the such in their pictures but I saw the high reviews and their menu had a different section for chefs speciality items. Those items looked more traditional even though the reviews didn’t reflect a lot of people necessarily ordering it, was worth a shot.

Upon getting seated, we noticed that yes their menu was heavily pushing the Americanized options there was a whole page dedicated to traditional options. They start your table off with fried wonton strips, like the ones you put on top of soups. My kids love this!

We ordered 4 entrees the eggplant, the beef and bok choy, the peppery pork chops, and the black pepper shrimp.

My favorite was the black pepper shrimp, they use big shrimps here and it’s not overly salty. The beef and bok Choy was loaded with beef, the eggplant stayed crispy, not mushy, and pork chops were extra crispy. Each plate was huge, and plenty for our family of 6 with leftovers.

The meal ended with complimentary red bean sesame balls, and this was the best part of the meal! My kids ate them all up.

The service was super attentive, they were constantly refilling drinks and fulfilling any requests. Truly a hidden gem in SA.“
