I love the food - I always get the Japanese sandwich 🥪 the baristas make my drink perfect to my liking. I always ask if they could go easy with the sugar and they do. They are kind and care about their craft.

The atmosphere is great. Never been harassed, never been given any attitude. I was surprised to read a review that its only for Hispanic people. It's definitely Latina owned and I love it (and we need more). But the owners and the baristas will not turn you down for being an Asian or Black. That doesn't reflect the word community.

I would say I am a patient customer and laid back. Treat others how you want to be treated. This place is my vibe. It doesn't feel sterile and it doesn't seem pretentious. The food and drinks are definitely worth the money.“

“We always love our late night eats at Mony’s anytime we’re in midtown. Fresh quality ingredients, best sauce and cheese around just makes the pizza great. Large menu with all the Italian pasta specials, and now serves breakfast and large range of desserts, too. You’ll never leave hungry. Great service. “This place is so legit. The coffee is always spot on - my favorite is the Abyssinia latte - so perfectly spiced and hits the spot iced or cold. Their breakfast tacos are perfect, and I love that they have beef chorizo during the week. The folks who work here are super nice, and the atmosphere is quiet and calming. I feel like my brief stop in some mornings is like a little meditation with a tasty treat - a perfect start to a busy day downtown. It’s completely worth the small detour on my way in.“

“We stopped in over the weekend for a late lunch, low-key celebrating my birthday. We had a little bit of everything and all of the food was AMAZING. I am not even a "ribs person" but loved theirs. the garlic sausage? Phenomenal. All of the meats: Brisket, chicken, sausage, pulled pork, smoked turkey - delicious. Great sauce. And all of the sides were bomb; we had mac & cheese, potato salad, and cream corn. My husband doesn't even like corn and we were sparring with our spoons over the last bites. On top of it, they have great stuff in the general store. We've found a new spot to bring our out of town visitors to come and try a taste of the best Houston had to offer!“

“I went in to First Cup today to try the coffee and breakfast sandwhich. I was impressed with the service (10/10) and cleanliness as well as the atmosphere. Very comfortable, cozy and warm. The coffee ( Americana with an extra shot of espresso) was made perfectly by Grace and the food (sausage,egg and cheese croissant) was on point. When Grace brought our food out it was just the right temperature. The restrooms were clean as well as the rest of the restaurant. I will be returning.“

“Really cute coffee shop! I’ve been wanting to try Cherry Moon for a while and finally stopped by. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and there are so many interesting things on the menu that it was honestly hard to choose.
I tried one of their specialty drinks, the Coconut Coffee Latte, and it was really good. I also noticed they have a pretty big selection of pastries and desserts, which I love because it’s nice to have something to go with your coffee besides the usual options.
The staff was friendly and the whole place had a really nice, relaxed feel. I could definitely see myself coming back to meet a friend or just grab a coffee and sit for a while.“

On this visit, I decided to enjoy (and I did enjoy it all) a Lavender Rose cappuccino and a pour-over using their Ethiopian beans (which was perfectly done), and to eat I had the Avocado Toast. It was one of the best I have had. I didn't think the one slice would be enough, but with the perfect amount of toppings, it was plenty to fill me up. I work in downtown and most often won’t have coffee, but today had an urge for a tea of sorts, so I decided to stop by this shop (as I’ve had a few teas in the past that loved). Today I decided to grab a Chai Tea Latte, and my goodness, it was the most delightful Chai I’ve had in a while. Genesis whipped it up with ease, and pretty quickly too (so I wasn’t sure how it’d turn out), but to my surprise it was AMAZING!! So grateful for this experience as it added an ounce of joy to my work day.“
