“Mrs Elsa that works here is very friendly and nice, she's always in a good mood and smiling when I come in. The food is delicious, the kolaches are great but I especially love the spinach and feta or strawberry and cream kolache that they have. Also they have Vietnamese iced coffee which you can't just get anywhere, and it uses cafe du monde coffee to give it that authentic flavor. The only complaint is that I'm getting fat since I work in this area. 😆

“I grew up in Clear Lake and frequented this donut shop pretty much every day before work. I have since left Houston and have moved to DFW, but I always make a point to stop by when I’m in town visiting family. Mel is so friendly and personable, always remembers my name (regardless of how long it’s been since I’ve visited), and always provides service with a smile! He frequently tosses a freebee as well, which is never needed but always appreciated. Not to mention their jalapeño kolaches are probably the best I’ve ever had.

I go in for donuts around 0550, and they always give me a fresh batch. They pretty much melt in your mouth. They are also very affordable, with a dozen donuts running at just $7.00. I have gone to other places where the dozen costs twice as much. When I take my daughter for donuts to a shop closer to her school, she always spends close to $10.00.
