“My family and I celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday at Truluck’s in Southlake, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.
We had a reservation for 7:15 PM for a fairly large group of nine people. Our table wasn’t quite ready when we arrived because the party before us needed a little extra time, and since we were a big group there weren’t many tables that could accommodate us. The manager, Mike, came over personally to apologize for the delay and told me he wanted to make sure my mom had a memorable birthday celebration.
We were seated around 7:30 PM—honestly only about 15 minutes late, which didn’t bother me at all—but Mike insisted on sending complimentary appetizers while we waited. I told him it wasn’t necessary, but he very politely insisted. To our surprise he sent six appetizers: two shrimp cocktails, two crab cakes, and two orders of calamari. It was incredibly generous and such a classy gesture.
Our server Kyle was spectacular. He was friendly, attentive, and handled a table of nine with ease. Service like that makes a big difference, and he absolutely delivered.
The food and wine were phenomenal. The seafood was incredibly fresh and the steaks were excellent. I had the shrimp and scallop sauté and added an 8 oz filet because I couldn’t decide—no regrets. The Parker House rolls were a massive hit with the table (buttery, warm, slightly crisp on the outside), and we ended up ordering four baskets.
To top off the evening, they surprised us with two complimentary Baked Alaska desserts that were big enough for the entire table to share—not just the birthday girl.
I can’t say enough about how well Mike and Kyle treated our family. They went above and beyond to make my mom’s 70th birthday special.
Truluck’s Southlake is now our go-to spot for special occasions. We’ll absolutely be back.“

“We were recommended this place by some people in the surrounding area. We were here traveling from Florida and this was hands down the BEST bbq and friendliest staff. Wes and his dad were the most genuine people. We ate here 3 days in a row it was so delicious. The burgers, burnt ends ans pulled pork sandwiches were the best Ive had. If you have room for dessert, the peach cobbler is the way to go.“

Only a 25 min wait for a party of 6 on a Fri. night.
William came over and started interacting with our 3 yr old- gave her a little shogun toy.
And when he went behind the noodle bar- he playfully threw a couple dough balls back at her- just to help entertain while we waited...

The staff are amazing, whether hostess, wait staff, Sushi chefs, even the bus crew everyone is friendly and professional. “My wife and I were starving and our dinner wait time was 45 minutes from the time we entered Pressed Juicery. We ordered an Açaí Bowel, and as soon as the manager prepped it for us, we were told our dinner reservation was ready. The manager knew we ordered the Açaí Bowel to hold us over until dinner, and then offered to deliver our bowel to the restaurant when he closed the Pressed. This extreme act of kindness stuck with us the rest of our trip. The manager walked over with the delicious Açaí bowel just in time to eat it for desert. He did not have to do that, but he’s just a good human. Thank you, kind sir.“

“Small adorable ice cream shop. I sampled a variety of ice cream flavors and staff recommended the chocolate chip cookie dough. I’ve never been a fan of this particular flavor. However, i enjoyed it more than I expected. I ordered a banana split sundae while my friend selected the not more oreo sundae. Both were delectable with a smooth texture.“

“Absolutely love the pizzas here!! The unique variety they offer takes pizza to the next level. I do have 3 issues pertaining to service though. 1. We had to ask for a couple specific pizzas to be brought to our table because they hadn't been offered while others were brought multiple times. 2. They don't inform you of their auto-gratuity policy when checking in for your reservation, nor upon giving you the bill. I would have expected better service when you're predetermining your own tip. 3. We also were asked to vacate our table for the next reservation while we were still actively spending money on after dinner drinks. These are all simple fixes on their end and I hope they can communicate better in the future.“
