“1/5/26- (Monday), I had a long day at work and decided to go to a happy hour. I searched in my area and found this restaurant. It was my first time going. I was greeted when I walked in and went to the bar. The bartender-Russell greeted me with a smile and was very pleasant. He answered all my questions and also suggested some items. I was also given a free appetizer since it was my first time there. Manager-Maegan brought it out to me. She was pleasant and had a smile on her face as well. I so enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, as well as the staff and management. She even given me a free dessert card to come back. I so recommended this location. Great people, food, drinks, and happy hour. They have a large variety as well as the drink menu.“

“My husband and I had date night tonight and decided to go to one of our fav spots, again. We've been going to Brandani's for almost 10 years. As always...our experience was superb, so I am taking a moment to give a review:). We're ALWAYS happy. The staff is top notch, the menu is consistently delish, we love the atmosphere, and it's a sweet bonus to be greeted by the Brandani's themselves. Whenever we find ourselves free to have a date night we can always rely on Brandani's for a lovely evening. Well, I somehow bumped my glass of red wine and it splattered all over my face and shirt tonight...but because the Brandani staff is so wonderful and we feel at home, it was easy to laugh off and continue to enjoy our evening together. “My husband and I are in Houston for his cancer treatment at MD Anderson. Needless to say, not a trip for fun, but it’s his birthday today, and we wanted to get out of the hotel at the hospital and celebrate just a little. Because he has stage 4 stomach cancer, his dietary needs are limiting, so eating out can be difficult. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. This being our first trip to Houston, we know little about the area, and our cab driver helped us decide on Navy Blue. Well, can I just tell you, they were soooooo accommodating of our needs!!! The chef went out of his way to prepare some special items for us, so my husband could eat. Though his portion size is limited, he thoroughly enjoyed his food, as did I. I ordered a small appetizer of baked in butter Prince Edward Island oysters, simply prepared, and oh so delicious. My husband loves oysters, but they haven’t loved him since he’s been sick. He even had one, and enjoyed it. My husband also loved the cheddar biscuits, and seaweed butter, I couldn’t believe he was able to eat the whole biscuit. They have a simply prepared section in their menu, and you can order your seafood pan seared in olive oil with simple seasonings. This was great for his situation, and he had beautiful pink juicy gulf shrimp. I had the Dover sole, and it was perfectly prepared and boned tableside. Gorgeous presentation, and the fish was absolutely delicious. I ordered the sautéed spinach, and he the creamed potatoes. We shared those, and both were delicious. All the staff were well trained in service and they were super attentive. Our server was magnificent. Thank you Navy Blue for showing us a lovely night out, in an otherwise difficult time. We highly recommend your restaurant to anyone in the Houston area looking for fabulous food, fabulous service, and exquisite attention to detail. This place is wonderful!!!“

“I highly recommend Fielding's River Oaks for group dining and special occasions. The stylish interior immediately stood out to me, with its modern lighting, clean decor, and expansive windows that bring in plenty of natural light. Our group had a large table in a private area, and the space felt comfortable and upscale, perfect for a celebratory get together or even a business dinner. 🍽️ The service was attentive, and the table was set beautifully with everything we needed plates, glasses, cutlery, and napkins all arranged, ready for a relaxed meal with friends or colleagues. The food was excellent pizzas came out hot and perfectly baked, and the burgers looked delicious with generous portions. Drinks flowed throughout the dinner, served in a variety of elegant glasses. One feature I really appreciated was the versatility Fielding’s offers not just indoor dining, but also takeaway and delivery if you prefer to eat elsewhere. Overall, it was a memorable experience thanks to the great atmosphere, quality food, and top 🔝 notch service. I would absolutely go back, whether for a casual lunch or another big event.“

“Our first experience with Bellagreen was scrumptious! We were visiting Houston and googled for gluten free vegetarian meals. Very thankful our search led us here. The atmosphere was relaxed and the aesthetics overall were spot on. I had the seasonal harvest salad and it was nothing but perfection! Everything was so fresh and made a beautifully colorful plate. As a result, what appears to be a simple meal with drinks can cost around $40. For individuals on a modest income, this pricing structure feels excessive and unfair. Greater clarity and honesty in billing practices would significantly improve the dining experience.“

“Perfect place for healthy, delicious, happy food. The food is so eclectic and fresh. The ambience is open but also feels like private seating. They even have their own store for buying healthy, modern or fusion food options. Pictures are the harvest salad with tofu, crunchy Chicken sandwich and Asian chicken salad. “This is a multistate chain that is focussed on tacos. They have a standard menu and then seasonal options. Breakfast tacos also all day. The team at this location was helpful and friendly, even when I showed up 10 minutes before closing they were great. The shrimp taco was excellent and I enjoyed the fried avocado taco though the amount of refried beans on it overtook the avocado by a bit.“

We had a fantastic experience at Ruggles Black, and a big part of that was our wonderful server, Gabriel. From the moment we sat down, he was warm, friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful.

Gabriel took the time to make thoughtful recommendations, and his suggestions for both drinks and desserts were absolutely excellent. Everything he recommended was spot on and really elevated our dining experience.

Service like this truly makes a difference, and Gabriel’s professionalism and genuine hospitality made our evening even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back and hope to be seated in his section again!“

“HOLY SMOKES! The dinner menu here is AMAZING. We came with friends and tried so many dishes and truly they were all so good, I was blown away. The mashed potatoes are the best I’ve ever had!!! Short rib French fries Short rib grilled cheese Salmon Chicken Caesar family Mac and Cheese Steak with Chimichurri Literally everything was so so good!!! Also the team here is so fun and nice. “We had an amazing experience at Balboa! Starting with the complimentary valet, which was quick and friendly service. The entry to the restaurant was super nice and a great photo opportunity spot. Kyrah took excellent care of us during our visit, and we loved the team style service. It felt like we had a team serving us, and they are so quick and quiet that you can continue to hold conversations and visit but someone is always near if you need anything. Kyrah took special care to "refresh" our cocktail glasses when we finished about half of our drinks, and made excellent recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing. Our table tried the fried shrimp, oysters, spicy ahi tuna roll, crab cake, Post Oak ribeye with pureed potatoes, salmon with the most delicious and unique salad, and heirloom tomatoes. The cocktails were delicious, including the Gold Rush, Rum Dum, and el Guero. The restaurant vibe is romantic but fun and sophisticated and has an open kitchen concept where you can see the food being made if you care to watch. I will most definitely be back and can confidently recommend this place to anyone!“

“Husband and I tried this place for the first time for Valentine's Day dinner. Wavered between a 4 or a 5. The food was decadent - creamy, flavorful, has a little kick but overall a little heavy. Calamaris and marinara sauce were probably my favorite, plus the Mac n cheese, but couldn't eat much of any of my food (trout almondine with mustard beurre blanc and couscous and broccoli) - while the char on the trout was exquisite, the big couscous with bell peppers was difficult to eat for me in terms of flavor combo with the beurre blanc. The parmesan on the couscous and broccoli made them palatable. The Mac n cheese was heavenly but again was so decadent that we could only eat half. We also got dessert which was gigantic - appreciate their big portions. They also didn't have any sweet tea (only non sweet) when I asked for half and half, and that didn't have non caffeinated fruit teas - one server said they had chamomile but then they didn't. Our server Jim was absolutely fantastic and so thoughtful and sweet, not annoying or imposing, very respectful. The ambience was calm with candles and dim lighting. I really liked our booth and felt we had a lot of privacy. Note that you need to make a reservation ahead of time - a guy came in with his wife and child and said that they were on the wait-list but the hostess said they were fully booked for the night. Probably will order the salad next time and it'll prob be a 5.“

“We sat out on the patio and it was spacious and very nice. Felt like we had space. Seafood tower, most sides, and snapper were good. I was let down with the Akaushi ribeye & steak collection. I was willing to oay top dollar for an A5 prime japanese strip but they would only serve it sliced. The Akaushi ribeye was not very good. Very little marbling which surprised me being a ribeye. Dinner was great but I was let down by the flavor, temperature (was over cooked), and texture of the steak.“

“We happened upon Alex last year and it has become a favorite with us and our family. Italian inspired menu - but I have enjoyed everything I have had - fish steak scallops - I have recently been ordering what ever the daily special is - always a winner! Also perhaps the best brussel sprouts I have ever had. Do not sleep on their wine menu and bar. Really outstanding selection of bourbons and quality cocktails. Don’t let the exterior fool you - this is one of the Houston area hidden gems. Fine dining in a strip mall is Missouri City - yup that is exactly what it is.“

“Not sure the waitress really listened to our son when he asked for a plain burger with ketchup … he got a monster cheese burger with all kinds of stuff on it that would make an adult happy but a 9 year old wince in fear.

Respectfully he ate it - well 1/3 of it, before we knew what had happened so we didn’t feel comfortable asking for a do- over… however, the point is - listen to the guest when they order something. Even if it’s a child.

It was busy - like crazy busy - but I can’t understand all the hype? Seems over priced and over blown with hype for a lunch / brunch? But the place was packed full of loyal people wanting to be seen… maybe we just aren’t the target clientele…

I don’t “get it”… nice place - but felt way over priced for the casual lunch and “chain restaurant” level service.

Oh! And forget about parking anywhere close to the place - busy and hectic parking lot forced a 3 block away parking spot.“

I must say Black Walnut is always one of my favorite places to go for some good eating and friendly staff.“
