“Whiskey Cake never fails. Once again the recommendations from our waiter Christian were absolutely wonderful. We feel like family when we are visiting from North Carolina. He always makes us feel so welcomed. Shout out to Stephanie and Haley for taking the time to say hello. Missed seeing Margaret but I'm sure we will see her before we have to head home. “Our first time at Lazy Dog and we were so blessed to have NICOLE as our server. She is so good at her work but most of all, she is fun. I thought that I was special, but I noticed that every table Lite Up when she came to them. Children were hugging her and adults were laughing and having a great time. “Our first experience with Bellagreen was scrumptious! We were visiting Houston and googled for gluten free vegetarian meals. Very thankful our search led us here. The atmosphere was relaxed and the aesthetics overall were spot on. I had the seasonal harvest salad and it was nothing but perfection! Everything was so fresh and made a beautifully colorful plate. “What's great and distinctive about Mezza's is the food. The chef is very creative: I love the mango-stuffed chicken which I've never found any where else in Houston. The little free appetizer of spiced chips you're given is delicious and unusual. Everything thing I've had there has tasted marvelous. I love there hibiscus margarita-type drink. The inside has beautiful modernist decor. I often sit outside on little tables walled off from the parking lot by plantings (not a gorgeous place, admittedly, but pleasant). The wait staff couldn't be friendlier or more efficient.“

From the moment we were welcomed in to the bright space and warm energy of the staff we knew we had stumbled upon a gem in Houston. Our meal took us on an unexpected journey with cultural influences of Asia, India and France. This is not your everyday steak house. it is so much more. The passion of the chef came alive in our mouths from the Butter chicken, to the charcoal cabbage and amazing lentil dish we savored every bite. “I have never done any reviews on the past but after this weekend I had to. I work around the area and I love the salads from here, the brick chicken is my favorite besides my white chocolate pudding!!!
But the main reason I keep coming back here is because I feel appreciated and I always feel comfortable. The manager Grace and the young guy Anthoni are always so friendly and polite. They remember my special orders and I am a picky eater. But this weekend specially. It was over 100 degrees outside and I noticed it was very hot inside the store, way more than usual. I found out their AC was not working and they were somehow still managing to stay open and serving food like nothing. They were all sweating but still smiling. I highly recommend this location to anyone. Thank you guys!

Their menu boasts a range of delicious and generously-portioned options. On our most recent visit we enjoyed the grouper and ahi tuna salad for lunch, but I highly recommend the prime rib with Mac and cheese as a side for those looking for a truly remarkable meal. The service at J Alexander's is consistently top-notch, with April's exceptional service being the highlight during our visit. We will certainly be returning for dinner soon!“

“This is a multistate chain that is focussed on tacos. They have a standard menu and then seasonal options. Breakfast tacos also all day. The team at this location was helpful and friendly, even when I showed up 10 minutes before closing they were great. The shrimp taco was excellent and I enjoyed the fried avocado taco though the amount of refried beans on it overtook the avocado by a bit.“

“Today we were seated immediately. Ambience is phenomenal. I will say that we are on the keto diet so everything that we tried was from the keto menu, absolutely phenomenal. Coming from Atlanta, we’re very skeptical of foods that we try in other places, but I must say that, even with this being keto, the food was absolutely phenomenal. The service was impeccable. Jose was extremely patient with us and Took his time in explaining every aspect of the menu and answered all of our questions. And he made amazing recommendations, as he was extremely knowledgeable about every item on the menu. From the drinks down to the desserts, 10 / 10. We WILL be back!!!

“We had an amazing experience at Balboa! Starting with the complimentary valet, which was quick and friendly service. The entry to the restaurant was super nice and a great photo opportunity spot. Kyrah took excellent care of us during our visit, and we loved the team style service. It felt like we had a team serving us, and they are so quick and quiet that you can continue to hold conversations and visit but someone is always near if you need anything. Kyrah took special care to "refresh" our cocktail glasses when we finished about half of our drinks, and made excellent recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing. Our table tried the fried shrimp, oysters, spicy ahi tuna roll, crab cake, Post Oak ribeye with pureed potatoes, salmon with the most delicious and unique salad, and heirloom tomatoes. The cocktails were delicious, including the Gold Rush, Rum Dum, and el Guero. The restaurant vibe is romantic but fun and sophisticated and has an open kitchen concept where you can see the food being made if you care to watch. I will most definitely be back and can confidently recommend this place to anyone!“

The food, the live music, comedy show, the cocktails & most of all the staff make this place one of Houston’s best hidden gems. The staff is some of the friendliest & charismatically lovely people I’ve ever experienced & the work diligently to create probably the most welcoming atmosphere in Houston of any venue. Management takes special care of their workers and the talent in a way I’ve never experienced in this city. “A quest for best smash burgers in the Houston area brought us to Hotline. We were not disappointed. Perfectly laced thin smash burger patties on a soft fresh potato bun was just what we needed on this cold Jan afternoon. And the hot crispy fries were just the icing on the cake. Perfection. Not sure if it was the owner or an employee but he was very friendly, quick service and made great suggestions. Must also mention, we took a peek inside as we’re leaving and the restaurant was very clean. Got my vote! 🗳️“
