“I was invited to lunch at this restaurant that a friend frequents. I was smitten as soon as I got out of the car. The smell alone had me hungry. We were both greeted upon walking in, seated, and immediately asked what we would like to drink. Our waiter George was great to share some favs with me. The service was just as great as the food. My friend told me about the sweet tea from this place so I had to taste it. Remember your mother telling you not to drink before your meal? Well, I lost myself at the bottom of my cup. ? Then, the salsa and fresh hot corn tortilla chips made their way to our table. OMG, I could just drink the salsa alone. It was everything to my palate. The flavor was fulfilling with every bite. When I looked into my cup, I actually could tell you every single ingredient that made this salsa desirable. This wasn't that store bought stuff. This was the when is it going to be ready salsa. Now for our food. She ordered the chimmey chunga meal, and I ordered the Mesquite special which consisted of one beef enchilada with the gravy and one sour cream chicken enchilada covered in real sour cream, rice and frijos, not that powdered stuff made from a package. Not calling out any restaurants. But, know your food. Especially Mexican cuisine. My plate was piping hot when it arrived at the table. The food was filling and satisfying. I can tell you that what we ate was less than $30 for our meal. I highly recommend Tinos for lunch and dinner. I even went back just to buy some sweet tea. It's addictive (sorry diabetics) but the food was awesome! I will be visiting again after the holidays. Oh, let me not forget to mention that they do sell authentic pork tamales, too.I give this review “

“Mark G was our server tonight. We are sooo impressed. This is our favorite restaurant as we are here almost weekly. Mark went above and beyond and his timing on checking on us and serving was always spot on! Can’t wait to be back! It’s also the busiest time of day and week! Love it here!“

“This family owned gem hits it on all cylinders! In the nation’s top 20 taco spots & #2 in the DFW, I was very well pleased with the food. The staff made us feel like family. What was cool was another 1st time family was dining in as well. The commonality was how excited we’re about the taste of the tacos.“

“Love the new restaurant that has replaced the old one. Bbq with a Mexican twist. I got the pork belly tacos and wanted to eat like 5 more they were so good. Side of Mexican rice reminded me of how my mom used to make it cause all these Mexican places make it to dry and this was nice and moist with a ton of flavor.Only downside is they don’t have fresh brewed tea so you have to buy the bottled options.Big menu and was delighted by the first try so will be back again“

“The food is superb! We decided to take a fun morning date on a run of errands in the area and found it while doing a Google search. We wanted to try somewhere local. The area is unassuming, and you really wouldn't expect the diverse menu. Do not sleep on this place though. My wife got the 2x2x2 breakfast with CC pancakes, and I ordered a Mexican Benedict with Chorizo and Chipotle Hollandaise. Both orders were phenomenal. The crispy Yukon potatoes were crispy and soft all the same.My wife ordered a fresh juice, and I ordered the Coffee with Brown Sugar and Cinnamon (forgot the menu name). Both were great additions to round out the meal.“

“Went here on my birthday because they sent me a fabulous coupon. My husband and I had great service. The restaurant is so pretty. Feels like you're on vacation a little bit. Food is always excellent and fresh and clean. Our server was so attentive but he did not wish me a happy birthday lol!“

“This was our first visit to Torchy’s and it was the BEST!!! The young man at the register last night (can’t remember his name was so helpful and friendly). He was so patient with me and my husband as we navigated the huge menu of foods not knowing what we wanted, so he so graciously offered us some good food choices. We dined in and the atmosphere was so cool and welcoming. I struck up a conversation with this sweet lady Miss Maria who was so kind and I told her this was my first visit to Torchy’s so she told me to give her a minute she would be right back. She went and got the manager and he came out and spoke with me and my husband about how our visit was going, the history of Torchy’s, and just chatted a bit about the food. I can’t remember the managers name, I think it was Danny (not sure) because we were talking about so many things. He was a very courteous, down to earth, and professional guy.We were then served our Grande Burritos and let me tell you… they were amazing!!I had the barbacoa burrito , my husband had the brisket burrito, and my grandson had the steak burrito. Also, the sweet tea was soooo good! They were all delicious!! I also noticed the bar there, which when we return I will have one of those margaritas. We had a Damn Good meal!!!“

“I've been coming here for over 30 years. Absolutely love this place. I recommend the chicken monterrey. It's superb! I've been getting it for 10+ years! Before I discovered that, it was always enchiladas! Their sweat tea is delicious, as is their salsa! Patricia is my favorite waitress, but all of their waiters are great. I hope this place stays open for many more years to come. It's my favorite restaurant to eat at. Prices, food quality, and service can't be beat!“

“We were fortunate enough to get a $10 voucher from the city during a Karaoke event at the main square. We went to Dos Banderas and all of the food was great, but it would be nice to have at least one plant based option in the appetizer section as the voucher was only for the openers section supposedly. My husband and I eat only plants and there were no plant options. We asked if we could get guacamole instead and pay any difference and the waitress said no. Should have spoken to the owner....which we did (but not about that), but we ate the wings on the menu anyway. The next day we had acid reflux from the wings...that is the whole reason we eat only plants because eating animal products is not pleasant for our bodies or our health. I think the city paid for the $10 voucher anyway, so it would not have been a loss from Dos Banderas.Food: We had the guacamole, beans, and the cilantro lime wings. That was very filling and tasty that night.Service:Waitress was friendly and patient while we were looking at the menu.Atmosphere:Beautifully remodeled. If there was any music while eating it was low so as to enjoy talking to people you are eating with.Recommendation for owner: Please see if you can add a vegan option on the openers section without animal products at all...cheese or meat or at least if a customer asks if they can substitute something and it is available on the menu, please help your customer out through your waiters. Our meal at Dos Banderas would have been much more pleasant and memorable the next day (acid reflux is painful).“

“First time coming here. This place is fantastic. (Come hungry.) The salsa and picante sauce are served with warm chips. (Didn't totally reach the bottom before everything was refilled.) My husband had the regular nachos and I had the shrimp enchiladas, with refried beans and rice. (Plenty of food.) Huge drink cups. Great service, with plenty of servers. Next time, I will get dessert first. (Reasonable prices for the amount of food you get.) We will be back.“

“Ordered beef fajita, trompo, and carnitas tacos. The tacos were good. They came with a variety of tasty salsas and onions, grilled onions, and cilantro for topping. Also ordered a carnitas burrito which was good. It had lettuce and tomato in it which some people do not like.My one complaint was the carnitas were pretty fatty and were in large chunks. But, otherwise delicious food. The prices were decent and comparable to other taco shops.“

“First time having Tex Mex and was very impressed. Had the uno dos tres lunch special with soft taco, enchilada and Tamales with lime rice and charo beans as sides. Previous experience with Mexican food in another state everything tasted the same. The flavors at Posada's of each dish was very different. Marcus was a very good waiter.“

“My party had a great experience (9 of us). We chatted it up with the waitress, who we later discovered was the owner. I love everything about this place, but I had the Chimichanga and Margaritas. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. The atmosphere is great, and the company is even better. It's small, but great for groups who want to party with a little privacy or just to kick back without a large crowd. You can dine inside or outside.“

“This is my favorite Mexican food restaurant in t8he whole city of Dallas. The food is wonderful. However, the main reason I come is the outstanding service. My favorite server is, Pablo. You will not find a better server in the city of Dallas. No cap!! I am serious. He remembers details and always is polite and very charming. The food and ambience is good. But Pablo makes the experience great!!Parking: Get there early for lunchtime. Wednesday is especially difficult for parking because of the Enchilada special.“

“I had not tried all the variety of things. I finally DID try the cheesbuger & homemade fries, SO fine. And the gorditas. All the Mexican & American so far has been great. I cook a lot of Italian so I am interested it that next. The people are bilingual & at ALL times friendly & professional. They have been a huge help after I had some medical dental procedures. I am a big fan now. Happily it's only three blocks away!“

“I drive for Uber so I'm always looking for a local place to eat. I stumbled across Martinez Resturant with its neon red sign glowing in the distance. I decided to try them out and I'm glad that I did. The decor was vintage like it was from the late 80s or 90s. I liked the retro look it took me back to my childhood. I ordered the Carne Asada which came with rice, beans and guac.. The skirt steak was VERY tender and flavorful. I was highly impressed. The food quality is amazing. My only let down was I ordered a Coke as opposed to the horchata which I later discovered on the menu. The prices were very reasonable considering how many resturants have raised prices exorbitantly. I took the time to read the story of the owner and found out they are closed on Sundays like chic fila. That's pretty cool. I highly recommend this place and will be back again when I'm on Mesquite.“

“We split the brisket tacos. One of our friends had enchiladas and I can't remember the others. All of the food was fantastic! Atmosphere is fun and colorful. If you like guacamole, order the whole appetizer, it's less expensive than adding it on to the individual entrees. You can order lots of different salsas and dips for the chips. They have at least a dozen different tequila brands.“

“The weather is beautiful, so stop by Primo's for lunch on the patio overlooking Lake Hubbard!Good food. Good drinks. And fantastic service. You can listen to the Great Tailed Grackle's, there's really no choice, but refrain from feeding them. Tex-Mex isn't the best thing for them.“

“On The Border. Well, do you really even need someone like me to write a review? I suppose you may really not know what On The Border even is, which would blow my mind, but I suppose that it's possible that someone would come into Texas or something and somehow end up in Mesquite Texas and then somehow end up on Google and then somehow be looking for some Tex-Mex to eat. So yeah. I guess it's possible. This On The Border has been here a long time, like more than 20 years, at least. It's seen its better days at the end of the 90's when the nearby AMC 30 was still new, but you gotta give them credit: they are the only survivor. What is now Cheddars was once Bennigan's. Across the street what was once Joes Crabshack is now a dirt pile. Next door what used to be a Johnny Carinos is now a Crab Place. Even the spot that is now Del Rio was originally a Hoffbreau Steaks...On The Border IS A SURVIVOR. The final original spot left.As for the food? The service? The decor? Fine. Fine. Fine. It's fine. You'll have a fine time. It's fine. Fine.“

“The food is amazing but the real star was Alex our server. I truly have never received service quite as incredible as how Alex treated us. I dined in with my mom and he served us amazing off the menu salads and was just all-around so kind and accommodating. He took such great care of us, we will be requesting Alex’s section every time we eat there now! Thank you Alex! :)“

“This place is one of my favorites! It’s the perfect gas station hole-in-the-wall taqueria. The pizza al pastor is the absolute star of the show. It’s like everything you could want in a taco and a pizza. The crust is always cooked really well when I’ve been here, and they pile ON the toppings so after you’ve had your pizza fill you can scoop up the rest and save it for ur next taco night! The tacos are fantastic and I cannot recommend this place more!“

“I came around lunchtime, but it was pretty empty. Only 3 ladies seated at a booth and two guys at the bar. I immediately went to the bar and wasn't acknowledged for at least 10 minutes or so. Luckily, I was in no rush because I'd walk out. The food, however, was good and hot. I'm big on being greeted when I enter an establishment. Even if the wait will be long, I expect to be told, "I'll be right with you," or something. Otherwise, they'd get 5 stars. The chips were over seasoned, but still good.“

“Strangely enough, I saw this place on Pokemon Go. The wife and I were nearby and I had a few minutes to play and I saw it there. We had to go to another destination first for fuel and I mentioned it to her and we went back and tried it out. I'm a side note: I am a Gringo married to a Mexicana that is very picky about Mexican Restaurants. We both loved this place. She has even mentioned how much she loves it around 4 times in the week after. When I love it and she does as well, that means we will be back. You get plenty of chips and good salsas to start. Service was fast and attentive. Food was hot, fresh and tasty. I should have gone there today again. For sure next weekend.“

“Really like this place! I was so glad when it opened. We've been needing/wanting more options here in Sunnyvale. The food was really good and so was the service. Of course, we have our favorite Mexican food places, but Dos Charros will definitely be in our rotation. Might even make its way to the top of the list.“
