“Oooo that was tasty! I had a beer battered Baja fish taco and a veggie taco. I had stopped getting their fish tacos years ago, since they had changed the type of fish they used and I didn't like the change. No idea if they changed it back or if this was just a really good one, but yum! Tastes like how I remembered they used to be. I'd missed having somewhere to get a good Cali/Baja fish taco from and it's nice to have them be delicious again. The Fuzzy's dust on it looks funny but tastes good. And the veggie one is always reliably good. Service was friendly too.“

“my husband and myself enjoyed and early dinner today at the Dallas location. We had the best waitress named LuLu. Her service was so fast and she was so attentive. I had the tortilla soup and the bowl was huge. It was fresh and perfectly seasoned. My husband had the fajita nachos and we shared some queso and tortillas of course and it was all fantastic. Can't forget about the frozen margaritas, they were the perfect compliment to our dinner. This location treats us wonderfully everytime we come.“

Our waitress was amazing I missed her name but she said she had been working there for 20 years and she was an absolute delight. 10/10 Fast service even for our large group of 6 and the food was delicious! We are from south TX and felt at home at Gonzalez restaurant. Handmade fluffy flour tortillas honestly reminded me of my grandmas. Great food, reasonable prices, and amazing service! Will definitely be back again when we visit. Must try if you love Mexican and Tex Mex food!!“

“This little joint has been an East Dallas treasure for some time. When you think of mom's home made breakfast. Best describes Gold Rush, from the fluffiest pancakes which IMHO is their clame to fame. I might order a tradional fried egg and bacon breakfast, but bet your bottom dollar it's coming with a short stack of pancakes. As you imagine the tastiest ham slice. remember that they do lunch. fall apart pot roast, hamburgers will not disappoint, chicken fried steak, why not have an omelet for brunch, they'll do it just right. It's not a big place in any way. You get there and you see an empty table go ahead and seat yourself. if there's a short line. you might have to stand between 5 and 8 minutes but everyone in line is cordial. when guests leave their table, grab it, even if it hasn't been cleared off very shortly someone will come by a cleaned your table. while you wait hopefully a member of staff already given you a menu. Be ready when someone takes your order. and the place can be hopping. Give it a shot, I'm sure you will find your visit enjoyable and the food done right.“

“Love this Taco Joint on Lakewood over the one on Peak Rd. I left Peak Taco Joint because I was served rotten spoiled food twice, and the customer service was very unfriendly...not sure who runs that place but Lakewood is the exact opposite and the main one I go to beside the one on Northwest Highway. Stay away from Peak, run to the Mockingbird store!!!“

“I was there to watch the Nascar race. Everybody else was there to watch FIFA World Cup. They gave me a TV of my own to watch at the bar where I requested to sit. Waitress and manager couldn't of been more accommodating. I will definitely be going back for another race. I'm a Carson Hocevar (Chili's) fan so I gotta support my driver and his sponsor. The food was a large proportion and tasted incredible. I had a half rack of ribs with fries. Very reasonable priced too.“
