I was really sad to hear about the father. I remember seeing him in the kitchen making the donuts.
After his passing they sold the store (the new owner is a cool guy). The son seemed to be extremely smart, so I think he's probably gonna go bigger and better.
And yesterday I saw the original woman / owner (I'm horrible with names) and I was shocked. The new owner called her and said he was low on staff and she said she wasn't doing anything so she came in.
She said it had been 6 months! Time goes way too fast.“

“I experienced their donuts at a Lunar New Year event at Flow Yoga. I’m not usually a donut fan, but gave these a try. They are denser than typical, much closer to the ones my mom used to make. The flavors were so good! I got the tea infused one, the black sesame seed one, the yuzu and the mandarin. They were all delicious! “Grand Donuts has a handful of locations around Central Texas including this location along Little Elm Trail in Cedar Park. They offer a nice range of donuts, kolaches, coffee and related morning food items and are open from 5am to 1pm (Mon to Sat) and 6am to 1pm (Sun). Recently stopped by and picked up an apple fritter that was nicely baked, good portion size and reasonable priced. The fritter tasted very good at home with a fresh cup of black coffee. Would gladly return to Grand donut for another fritter based on this recent experience.“

“This shop has green tea–glazed donuts! I’ve been searching for them for a while, and they’re amazing. Highly recommended if you’ve been looking for them too or just want to try something new.

The girl at the front register was super nice and friendly, and the extra donut holes were a great touch.

The sausage kolaches were soft and flavorful. The portion size was just right—not too small, not too big—and the price was reasonable for what you get.

“Best donuts that I have had in Austin. This is a simple neighborhood donut shop that hits above its class. The classic glaze and coconut are my favorite. This place still uses butter! You can taste it in their product. Everyone in south east Austin should make this place their go to.“

The doughnuts are amazing and they always have some special limited ones to go with the holidays and seasons. The staff is friendly and helpful. “One of the best cheese danishes I have had and I've had many because I love them so much. The pastry itself and the cream along with the fruit topping is perfect. I think what makes a really good Danish is the actual dough being used and this dough is buttery and flakey. Great breakfast sandwiches as well. “Was happy there was parking in the hotel parking lot, in a Tuesday morning plenty of parking available for me.

Service was quick, and honestly curt but that’s fine. We don’t have to be besties.

Got the turbo, is was good, and again came out QUICK. Easily found seating for just me and a plug for my laptop. It was quiet, sans barking dogs (on the owners, not Jos) typical prices $7-9 depending on the tip you leave. Cute spot, seems like a popular local stop“

“On this day, i came in to a single employee who appeared to be running the store alone. She was efficient, friendly and was working very hard on her own. Kept a smile on her face despite going through a bit of a rush alone. She's awesome and as usual, doughnuts were great!“
