Restaurantji's Valley View guide: Where to find the ultimate Mexican flavors.
“Stopped here on our way home from Oklahoma. Never ate at a Taco Casa before and was pleasantly surprised for a fast food taco joint! The burritos were huge and really good. I also had a taco ? which was also good with a really fresh taco shell. There seems to be several Taco Casa's popping up all over the place. I'll be a return patron at the location near my home or when I'm out and about in surrounding cities where they have one.“
“First time visit, food was great, service good, nice casual atmosphere. Price was reasonable about $2 less than other Mexican restaurants with the same food item. I found out they have two locations and they have been in business since 1996.“
“Goodness the queso was AMAZING!The building was clean, the service was good, the staff was friendly, the food was hot and fresh. The menu has plenty to choose from with good prices.Dietary restrictions: Plenty to choose from and the waitstaff will oblige requestsKid-friendliness: Very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: easy single story access“
“I would give 10 stars if I could!Fabulous food, amazing customer service. Love this tiny taco shop! What an awesome find! The owner has such a beautiful personality that she makes you want to see her on a daily basis. One of the best taco shops around. I'll definitely be back.“
“El Tapatio has two locations in Gainesville. This one is near I35 frontage road. The food was great, the service was good for the large party we had. The dining area just seemed poorly lit. Could have been an individual perspective thing, but I felt like I needed the flashlight on my phone to read the menu. Everything else was good. Floors clean, not loud, good staff, easy to understand menu, good service.“
“I grew up in the area, and this was the best overall Mexican food experience I've had in years. The food was so tasty, service top notch, and atmosphere very clean and nice. The menus featured bible scripture, and as a believer, I really appreciated His presence. God is surely in this place.“
“My other favorite Mexican joint is also inside a gas station so I may be biased ?. Honestly stumbled across this place on a road trip and imagined average tex-mex. NO! THIS IS BY NO MEANS AVERAGE.This place has all the best qualities of a hole in the wall authentic restaurant shoved into a gas station with a simple menu done PERFECT.I only had the tacos, beans, rice and churro. Based on how good these were though, I would be SHOCKED if anything they offer was subpar. They have some of the best meat I've ever had in a taco. Fresh off the grill , with a good amount of char on every piece. Onion, herbs , and lime on the side in a simple corn tortilla and the fresh fried churro? !! They do the simple stuff and just hit it out of the park. This is universal comfort food!“
