“I brought my mom here for lunch yesterday. The waiter that served us had kind of a crappy attitude honestly. In some moments he was nice but my mom asked what comes on a bento box because she's unfamiliar and he told her "it's on the menu". She just wanted someone to explain it to her because she was confused by the sushi and the meat options. Obviously not an item she orders often. She asked what the meat is for (i think she thought you get sushi or meat she wasn't understanding it was a part of the box) and he looked at her like she was stupid and pretty flatly answered the question. It embarrassed her. My mom is a really kind hearted person so it was frustrating watching someone make her feel dumb for asking a question in an unfamiliar environment. Sad. The food itself was good. The waiter likely was having a bad day. I've been a server and understand. But wish he'd been kinder to my mom.“

The staff are amazing, whether hostess, wait staff, Sushi chefs, even the bus crew everyone is friendly and professional. “We’ve been wanting to try this place and it was a great experience, from the Asian decor to the welcoming atmosphere to the food. We got the Shumai to start off and it was pretty good. I suggest having the sauce on the side if you’re not into really spicy things. My friend got the beef bowl and it was delish. The beef was perfectly seasoned and the sauce had a great flavor. You don’t get much protein, so next time he wants to order it with extra meat. I got the west side Ramen which was yummy. The broth was ok, but the noodles were good and plenty. I got the pork loin since I always get the pork belly, so it wasn’t as flavorful. Overall it was good, but I’ve had better. Definitely a place to try if you’re in the area and/or want to eat good food.“

“It’s a nice little restaurant in Foodcourt at NorthEast mall. But they food items are pricey and expensive. The staff’s are not fluent in Speaking English. But their teriyaki beef, chicken and shrimp are excellent. Starting from $11 and up. We would definitely recommend this place if you are into grilled food menu. The quantity of food is not much for the money where they will serve you on their small box but the taste is awesome and worth every bite of the meal. If you are in the mall, check this place out in the food court.

The scenery was also amazing. There's a giant waterfall at the entrance when you walk in, the place is very clean, decent sized bar seating, and big TVs.

Items I typically order are the wonton soup, the chicken with broccoli lunch special, as well as the Hunan chicken lunch special which is featured below. The service is fast(best to call in), the food is flavorful, and the portions are enough for 2 meals(at least, for me). I see lots of negative reviews but I have personally never had a negative experience with Asian Gourmet. I hope this review helps! Also, the prices on any online menu are definitely outdated. “I've had really good hibachi, and I've had meh. This was in the middle... not bad but not great. I think they skimp a little on the protein. Fries rice wasn't bad, and the vegetables were good. They also serve a little bit of eggplant (first for me at a japanese place), and it was just too slimy for me. My wife got the pina colada and really enjoyed it. I'm not sure how often I'd go back here.“
