Red 8’s atmosphere is always light and welcoming, the staff are kind and accommodating. if you’re a local, they’ll remember their customers and treat you as friends. They remember my family doesn’t like the wasabi so they stopped serving it with the sushi we order, haha. That is dedication!

“We had an awesome experience at Umami for my birthday. The food was delicious and plentiful. Our party of 10 received excellent service from the minute we walked in until we dragged our stuffed bellies out of there. It’s truly a dining experience. We will definitely be back!“

“SOOO YUMMYYYY!!!! I come here any time I visit Lehi because it is just so spectacular. The steak is melt in your mouth heavenly. The flavors just explode in your mouth and the hibachi chefs are so fun to interact with. I always do the hibachi and order steak and shrimp with fried rice.“

He had orange chicken and I had Chicken Massaman Curry. It was very good and the presentation was phenomenal. I wish I had pictures of our dinner to post as well. The one downside is that the servers are stretched thin. I think this is to slow the flow of orders but it's hard for the servers to manage. They still do a good job. The food is freshly made so it takes a long time... especially the sushi. So go when you're starting to get hungry, not when you are hungry or you'll be starving and kids will be grumpy.“

The specialty rolls in particular were unique & clearly intentionally created. Our server gave us great recommendations & all of our rolls were served in what felt like 5 minutes after ordering. “my family and I really enjoy Mr. Shabu. We have mainly been for the sushi, and have really liked it. The Playboy Roll, which is sort of my go to roll, I'm torn if they are number 1 or 2 when it comes to the place I like it the most. but we have enjoyed many other rolls their. but we also appreciate their wall of ramen which is great for my daughter who is trying to like more sushi, but isn't all the way there yet. it make it easy for her to still get a full dinner, but also try some sushi as well. “1/25 asked for more veggies and less chicken and they gave me more broccoli than usual. Add mushrooms. Soba noodles cost extra but are yummy. If you don’t get chicken everyone will be hungry in an hour.

Food was very fast and tasty but there were hardly any vegetables and a lot of meat. It used to be 90% of the vegetables is cabbage, 8% broccoli and 2 % carrots but it was better recently.“

“For me a great find. Make sure you’re hungry they fill you up. I got the beef teriyaki with noodles and veggies and amazing would be the right description. The steak was so tender and the flavor was perfect. I also ordered the medium spicy and it was just what they said. One of my favorite places for lunch or dinner.“

“Always amazing tasting food! Quality of sashimi & nigiri, as well as rolls is great! Service was good and speed of service was a bit on the slower side, as they seemed to be understaffed. One thing that I find offensive as a great tipper (usually between 22-30%), is that Tsunami determines tip based on total (after 8%+ sales tax), rather than the subtotal. Why should a patron pay 20-22% tip on the 8%+ sales tax paid to the city & state???!!! A fair number of restaurants practice this very deceitful method of calculating tips. This would translate into an additional $16-18 on a $200 meal (subtotal)!!! Why should the waitstaff get $16-20 more (for no additional effort on their part but just because the restaurant dishonestly calculates the tips by doing so on the total incl tax???). I believe in generously taking care of servers who go the extra mile but it is ludicrous to think that one should add a crisp $20 onto the bill just because uncle Utah takes his cut too! ;) ;) ;) lmao“

“For me the excellence of a place is entirely in the food. I can appreciate the rest, but good fare helps me forgive any number forgettable imperfections.

I went in with the intention of stuffing my face, but was met with sufficiently attractive sushi that I savored every bite and went home satisfied after one round.

I will eat here again.“
