“My family and I decided to give this place a shot for the very first time, and honestly, all I can express is a profound WOW - it truly was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish! We opted for the hibachi table, where they entertained us with a fantastic little performance prior to dishing out our meals. The food was nothing short of AMAZING, and the same high praise goes for both the service and the overall atmosphere of the place. Moreover, the staff were incredibly kind and patient with our children, adding a sweet touch to our experience. I sincerely couldn't have wished for a better restaurant to enjoy a delightful meal with my loved ones. Without a doubt, we are eagerly looking forward to our next visit!“
“I've been to Tsunami a few times but only for lunch with coworkers. This was my first time going on a dinner date on a friday night and it absolutely held up. We sat at the bar and ate way too much sushi. Loved every bite. It's fun to sit at the bar because we get to sit next to each other and it's fun to chat with the sushi chefs, who also happen to give excellent recommendations. I must insist that you try the Graffiti Roll. I'm not sure how much it is or if it's even on the menu, but it's large and delicious.“
“I worked here when the restaurant first opened, and I love coming back to see the changes that have been made to the menu. A better Saké brand would be awesome, but otherwise, great place!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available.“
“Food was great. I would love to come back for the food but the waiters were weirdly pushy. We wanted to order a couple rolls at a time. The waiters kept trying to take our menus and give us the bill before we were done even though the restaurant wasn’t full. After the third or fourth time asking for the menus we gave in and paid. We weren’t there for very long.“
“The food here is AMAZING with authentic flavors! The waiters and waitresses are very friendly and right on top of filling waters and soda. We didn't have to wait very long for our food at all. The whole atmosphere of this restaurant is very pretty and elegant. I will be recommending it to everyone I know!“
“Very pleasant experience! The menu was a tad bit confusing but I got the GYU DON (rice bowl with steak, a poached egg and I added veggies). It was AMAZING! I was seated right away at the bar. The servers were very polite. My server went and asked the cook about the modifications I wanted to do to my order which was great (most places just say no but doesn’t hurt to ask).Again the meal was SOOOO yummy.Thank you for the great experience!Dietary restrictions: You can ask the server for recommendations. They were very polite. Some things did cost more with modifications but it was not anything crazy.Wheelchair accessibility: They have tables as well as a large bar section.“
“Admittedly, I am somewhat easy to please with Asian food. But my two cents is that this is some top notch sushi at prices that won’t jeopardize your children’s college fund. The James is a must! Also was quite pleased with how quickly the food came.“
“We normally get sushi up to go, quite frankly because the atmosphere is very dark inside.Their online ordering system Seems a little ridiculous, they charge you for ordering online, but they will not let you order over the phone. I would tip more if there wasn't an online order fee. the sushi itself is pretty good. There are times that it is made way better than other times. So consistency is down. They've also messed up our orders a few times substituting our Vegas with a vegetarian“
“My favorite restaurant in Utah county, and the best sushi I've had in the area. Very kind attentive staff, peaceful atmosphere, and amazing food. Definitely a guilty pleasure of mine to go here. The Honolulu roll is absolutely incredible.“
“by far my favorite sushi restaurant, flame dragon, vegas, crunch spicy california rolls are all my favorite, also very good service. the chicken teriyaki is also good. the music is very good as well, restaurant is also always very clean. me and my family will come back again.“
“Toro Ramen and Sushi offered a delightful experience! The service was decent, and the ambiance was a plus--small, quaint, and charming, adding a cozy feel to the dining experience. While the ramen didn't quite match up to my California favorites, it held its own and was definitely a standout for Utah. The Japanese fried chicken was a crispy delight, and I'd eagerly order it again. As for the chashu ramen, it was wonderfully warm and incredibly filling and the egg was undoubtedly perfectly cooked in the ramen--a small touch that made a big difference in enhancing the overall experience. A spot definitely worth visiting for a tasty Japanese cuisine fix!“
“Incredible! We got the calamari, chefs sashimi platter, Yakisoba noodles and orange chicken. All dishes were so delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The staff was kind and helpful. Our only regret was not having the stomach room to try Sushi, next time!“
“We were pleasantly surprised after trying this place! It's always a little risky trying out a new sushi restaurant but it was so good! The workers were so nice and helpful. We had a to go order and the sushi was amazing! I would definitely go again.“
“A very family friendly place since it is family owned. From entree the Orange chicken and katsu chicken (esp the sauce) and Taylor and volcano from the sushi are my personal favorite.Parking: Good parkingKid-friendliness: Most servers have kids of their own so they are very kid friendly“
“My friend and I wanted to grab sushi together for lunch and Asahi was perfect for us. It's a little more dinner and bar vibes, with a darker dining room than what you would find in a fast casual restaurant, which worked for us because we wanted a quieter space so we could catch up. This also helped it be a little less busy. The food itself was delicious, but I'm not usually too picky with my sushi rolls and will eat most of any roll. I did like that they had a pretty extensive menu though. Definitely excited to go again, I'd love to try the actual lunch special which is a little more affordable or go for dinner sometime.“
“If you love sushi, this is the place for you!! This is a family run business with amazing people and amazing service with a great variety of rolls and other menu items! Plenty of options for individuals who appreciate the fried/ cooked sushi as well! The quality of the sushi is just as good, if not better in my opinion then some of the higher priced places that I've been too!! I can't recommend this place enough!! If you're in the area and looking for sushi, definitely stop by!!“
“Went here on a whim last year when the restaurant I planned to go to was closed. And I’m so glad I tried it. I love coming here! The sushi is amazing. My go to is the playboy roll and I love how well the mango goes with it. My other go to has been the cheese wantons, sadly they seemed different on my most recent visit as compared to when I’d come a couple months ago. Maybe they changed the wrappers? But the filling was still delicious. Definitely where I go when I’m craving sushi!“
“Best Chinese food in Utah, I dare say it is the best I've ever had. It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. This place is amazing! Try the samurai roll.Kid-friendliness: There are the normal kids options; nuggets, mac and cheese, of chicken noodle soup.“
“Really so great! It would be fun to eat on the patio when the weather warms up. The Bloody Mary and coconut pineapple mojito was so good. I’m pretty picky about bloody Marys. The deep fried goat cheese was so much better than I thought it would be and the beignets were so good. My only complaint was that my salad was honestly ridiculously overpriced. $27 for a salad… eesh. Won’t order that again.“
“Now that ALL plates are 3.39, this place is definitely worth going to. The conveyor belt is a neat thing, and the food options were quite varied and constantly coming. We were there about 5pm on a Wednesday, and had no issues getting what we wanted. We also used the iPad on the table to get specific rolls and a few deserts immediately instead of waiting for them to come back around. Will absolutely be back!“
“This is actually the second time we've been here - and both times have been amazing!!!It feels a little more upper-scale than other sushi restaurants in the area. The decor, music, lighting all work together and I do feel like I need to "dress-up" (as in I'm wearing pants instead of shorts).Service was incredible and they did so well with my 7 year old. The food was delicious, everything perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious! The pictures hopefully do it justice. While a little pricier than other places, the portions and taste absolutely make up for it. I will definitely be coming again!Kid-friendliness: Worked great with my 7yo and the food was perfect for them.“
“A great little all you can eat place. $20 for lunch items, $28 for dinner. Waitress was great and the sushi was well worth it. My only complaint is the tempura is a little oily/greasy, and the tempura vegetables were cut a little too thick. Everything else was fantastic.“
“For all you can eat sushi, this place is simply the best. Our favorite was the lady in red roll, but really everything was very good. Fresh and the flavors were great!Dietary restrictions: They worked with our shellfish and avocado allergies- we had no problems at all!“
“This place was exceptional. We used to go to Sobo fairly regularly which occupied this same space before Hamachi. We were in the area and gave this place a try and SO glad we did. Every single roll was fantastic! The service was great, the interior is updated and far more fitting of a sushi spot and just the entire visit was 5 star. A little on the spendy side with some rolls hitting over $18 but highly recommended!“
