“My wife and I recently moved to the Midvale area. We are now frequent customers of Great India. Tonight we ordered their Great India Special Appetizer, the Garlic Cheese Naan, and an order of Chicken Vindaloo (spicy). The flavor is incredible and the food so fresh. We talked with the owners (yep - locally owned, a big plus) and learned that they prepare the Naan when it's ordered, not heated up from earlier in the day. Its obvious! We couldn't recommend a restaurant more highly. Really one our favorites.“

“I came into the grocery section with my two young daughters for several spices I needed that were all new to me. The man working was very kind and helped me find everything I needed He even interacted with my girls, asking them questions while we were at the register. This was my first time in, and it’s great to know they have so many things I will need again in the future.“

Throughout our eating experience, we had a comfortable amount of waitlists coming to our table to take the clutter off the table as we finished. I felt the waitress and waiters were one team looking out for all the tables versus one waitress or waiter just responsible for a couple tables. Great experience. Great atmosphere . Would come back for sure even though we live like 40 minutes away.“

Pawan, the general manager, is great to visit with while we’re there. Highly recommend this to those who like Indian/Nepalese cuisine or those willing to try new dishes.“

“I am not a foodie nor familiar with Indian/Nepali Cuisine, my vegetarian daughter does like indian food. We thought we would give this place a try. I believe the food was made fresh and there was a bit of a delay, maybe 15 minutes, getting our food but I felt the food was worth the wait. I asked for a recommendation and they suggested the Chicken Masala which I thought was wonderful. I went with medium spice and felt it was pretty mild. My daughter had a vegetarian dish which she said was as good as she has ever had. I felt the portions were fine, I was easily able to split my entrée into two meals so I have something to look forward to tomorrow for lunch.“

“We drove into Salt Lake City around 9pm and there weren't a lot of restaurants open late. We had four different dishes, a couple types of naan, and some of their specialty cocktails. Everything was delicious!
They have a large menu (and drink menu) with everything you could possibly want. We tried the aloo gobi, butter chicken, chicken coconut korma, and the gongura chicken biryani.
The staff was friendly and the whole experience was great after a long day on the road.“

Kept it simple by getting the butter chicken and garlic naan which was amazing and normally my go to. “I love this place so much. They have been solid for so many years. I never have anything that I don't love. I especially love the dinner for two. Which allows you to try different appetizers, desserts, and entrees that you share with somebody else. Their naan is delicious. I wish I lived just a little bit closer. Every time I eat there I just rave in high praise and gratitude over the meal that we have just eaten... So much that they gave me a special discount card! I can't wait to go back! The servers are very kind and helpful.“
