“Went to this little cafe today and had a good time. The lunch menu is extremely good value and includes a choice of soup, choice of wanton or egg roll, rice and an entree. The food is traditional chinese-american dishes (sweet n sour, sesame chicken, lemon chicken etc) and is very good. The servers were very sweet and attentive. The atmosphere is like a little family cafe.
Went again today. I love the way they cook the vegetables, nice and crunchy.“

“It’s a bit like din tai fung in that they specialize in xiao long bao and have an open glass kitchen to watch as they make the dumplings. This place however has a much larger menu, all of it delicious. I’ve been to China and Taiwan and I can tell you this is authentic Chinese food. I heard more Chinese than English in the restaurant which is a great sign.“

“My gf and I were looking for a new Chinese restaurant last night and were fortunate to find this place. Our meal was amazing- she got the Pon Pon Chicken dinner and I had the Mongolian beef. It was hot , fresh and way above our expectations. The cream cheese wontons were fantastic- definitely not the frozen ones we’ve had elsewhere. We both highly recommend Mountain City!!“

“If you want an easy experience for hot pot, this is the place for you! You get to choose want you want in your pot and pay for the weight. My go to is the bone broth but their dry pot sauces are good as well. I love coming here when I don’t want to do AYCE for hot pot!“

“We recently visited this cozy Chinese mala tang spot and was absolutely delighted. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and every bite was bursting with flavor—the perfect balance of spice, savoriness, and comfort. You can really taste the care that goes into each bowl. What made the experience even more special was the owner herself. She greeted us with genuine warmth and made us feel right at home. Her kindness and friendly energy added a personal touch that’s rare to find these days. If you're craving authentic mala tang with heart, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!“

“Title: Pei Wei — The Tooth-Saving Heroes of Sandy
My wife and I went to Pei Wei today at the 10373 S State St, Sandy, UT location. I ordered the Salmon Poke Bowl, and my wife went for the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. First off, super yummy. Like, “I’m already planning my next visit” yummy.
But then came The Crispy Rice Stick Incident of 2025.
The lettuce wraps came with these rice sticks that were so hard, I swear if I had tried to chew them, my dentist would’ve been planning a Hawaiian vacation off my bill. Luckily, Pei Wei’s team stepped in like the customer service Avengers, remade the wraps without the tooth-traps, and did it for free.
Also — and this is a rare unicorn in modern dining — there was no pre-tip line at the register when I prepaid. This is the restaurant equivalent of finding an extra nugget in your Chick-fil-A box. Instant bonus points.
All in all, the food was great, the customer service was stellar, and my teeth remain intact. In this day and age, it’s not easy to find a place where you can get a great meal and not have to worry about something going sideways.
5 stars. Highly recommend.“

“We've been coming here for years, the food is delicious and the customer service is above and beyond—I was on my way home from picking up an order and they called to let me know they forgot one of my wontons! It was really no worry but I was so pleasantly surprised by the thought and care put into that moment. They always take extra special care to make sure we get what we love, and if i could I would give them All the stars in the galaxy!“

“We enjoyed our meal at Chinese Bistro, which specializes in noodle dishes. One of us had Szechuan soup noodles, wheat noodles in broth with a fried egg on top, and Chinese broccoli and black mushrooms. The other had braised pork, also with wheat noodles in a savory broth and Chinese broccoli.
Service was courteous and solicitous. The decor of Chinese Bistro is comfortable without elegant. Since the four of us eating there are getting up in years, we appreciated that the place was quiet and made it possible for us to carry on conversations in which we could hear each other.
This is a place I'd definitely visit again.“

“Five-star review!
The waitress here is incredibly thoughtful, instantly making us feel the warmth and closeness of home while far away on our journey! The dishes are absolutely exquisite—especially the Braised Pork with Tofu Sheets, perfectly balanced in fat and lean, melt-in-your-mouth tender with a rich, flavorful sauce; and the Farmhouse Stir-Fried Pork, bursting with fresh, spicy aroma and crisp-tender texture, the most authentic and stunning hometown flavor we've ever had in the U.S.—truly a top-tier feast for the taste buds! Thank you to the chef for their craftsmanship; it added endless unforgettable warmth to our trip. Highly recommended—we'll definitely be back!

With that said, Aaron went above and beyond to provide the highest level of service and understanding. This is what make this location amazing. Much respect and I highly recommend coming in! “30 years of perfection, exactly the same as my childhood memories after 25ish years. Lemon chicken is my favorite, the breading is so crunchy and the lemon glaze is so thick you can spoon it on like jello!
Don't forget to try the Vietnamese egg rolls too!“

“HongKong Banjum is my absolute favorite restaurant in Utah! I always get the 짬뽕 (jjamppong) and it is always perfect. If you don’t like spicy, then the 짜장면 (jajangmyeon) is also amazing. I also highly recommend getting the 탕수육 (tangsuyuk).
Great service!“

“Been trying many different places looking for a the big hole Kowloon left when they closed their doors, and I think I found the closest so far. Their egg foo young, although served differently with plenty of vegetables, the egg foo young and gravy was almost same taste. Although they don't do fried shrimp, they do fried prawns instead, with the famous Chinese mustard that is fantastic. The food was pretty good overall and tasty. The service was super nice and very helpful. My order did take a bit longer and had to wait for a tad longer, but wasn't too bad in the quiet restaurant. The atmosphere could be a little more, but still not too bad. A nice place to visit !!“

“We stopped by here on our way back to St. George with a friend who lives nearby.
I was impressed with how good it was.
We got the family dinner for 2 with chicken lo mein, ham fried rice and orange chicken. It also came with 2 egg rolls. I ordered also egg drop soup. And one drink. I believe it came out to about 43.00, which isn't bad because we had enough to take home and we ate it again at least 3x.
The lady who brought our food to us was very sweet and if she was the one doing the cooking, she did great. It was good food. Definitely recommend, especially because it can be difficult to find a good Chinese place and sometimes they're few and far between, but this ones a keeper.
Atmosphere was relaxed, not many other people in there. This was Saturday afternoon, so I hope more people go here and try it out!“

“Very good food! And very professional staff. I don't think they are quite set up for being a sit-down restaurant (all our food came in to-go boxes) but it was still very very good food! It's refreshing to see a family restaurant around here. I sincerely hope they thrive in this new location! Will definitely be coming back!“

“10 out of 10 I was very impressed. The BBQ pork soup was fantastic, fresh and flavorful and lots of great ingredients.
The orange beef was crispy fried slices of beef in an orange sauce, it was off the charts. The texture was consistent and the flavor was great.
The general tso's was a close second. The sauce was perfect and the chicken was fresh. Everything was in fact. There wasn't one dish that was mediocre. The braised tofu was a recommendation, and it did not disappoint. She was absolutely right. Some of the best fried tofu wirh sauce I have had in a long time
Great food, that chef back there knows what he's doing. Thank you very much!“

“Love the food, the service and atmosphere. I have been looking for this kind of Sichuan cuisine / restaurant in Salt lake area for a long while! The place is nice and clean, restrooms are nice too! “This is the best American Chinese restaurant. The food is very fresh, excellently priced, and very delicious. I usually get the family meal. The orange chicken is better than Panda Express, they have vermicelli noodle stir-fry that is less greasy and much more tasty than the options at Panda. I love their charsiu pork too.“

“I've gone to this place more often in the last few weeks than I'd like to admit. The szechuan beef noodle soup is incredible—very spicy, but so, so flavorful. The beef is so tender and the noodles are a perfect texture. A little expensive, but so worth it for the quality you get. I had a cold a few weeks ago that I'm pretty sure this bowl of soup cured. The dandan noodles and sticky rice are also delicious!“

“Love this place! I travel a lot and had to move away, but I always take my family back here every time I'm in town. Food is delicious, my husband loves it and my kids overeat. Our favorite savory dishes are Sesame Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Spicy Pepper Beef. Side dishes such as vegetable fried rice, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, and cream cheese wontons are very basic but they are made well. I really took it for granted when I was living there. Now the next best place is in New York.“

“First time here but have ready like it a lot more than the other hot pot restaurants or buffets we had in the past. The taste reminds me traditional hotpot that my big family used to gather and eat around Chinese new year in Northern China when I was little. Authentic soup base and many choices of add-ons and a good selection of appetizers and drinks. Definitely love to come back. 👍“

“We used to get canton all the time before they move to this location. Now they don't deliver to our area anymore so we haven't gotten it in a long time. But love this place always get takeout and have always got plenty of soy sauce, and food. Maybe the cook was having a bad day when the other person got the nasty food. Never had a problem in the 20 or so years we have been getting food from Canton.“

“Yesterday June 28 was my birthday "55". My first time visiting this restaurant. I went with 3 of my grannies princess. “One of my favorite things about this restaurant is the fact they serve many traditional Viet dishes that are not available at any other Viet restaurants in Utah. Albeit, not the most authentic tasting. I was really happy they have banh cuon, bo tai chanh, etc. here! Their bo tai chanh is pretty good but the beef is not rare enough to my liking, even after requesting the meat to be super rare. Their banh cuon is not authentic at all lol They have many different fillings that aren't traditional. Also, the rice paper is too thick for banh cuon. However, it didn't taste bad; it just wasn't authentic. I like the pho! The broth is quite tasty. I don't recommend the calamari simply because it was overbattered and there are no tentacles (which are my favorite), just rings. Unfortunately, the service is quite slow. It took quite a while to get our food. The restaurant atmosphere is nice and clean, but the parking situation is not the best. Overall, 5 starts because the food is good, authentic or not!“
