“Love the food, the service and atmosphere. I have been looking for this kind of Sichuan cuisine / restaurant in Salt lake area for a long while! The place is nice and clean, restrooms are nice too! English / Mandarin / Cantonese environments. I am a picky eater when comes to Chinese food, and I approved this cute little restaurant.“

“The prices here are so wildly cheap for such good quality. Yi is in our regular rotation and is a comfort place for my partner and I. The sushi is excellent, and they will substitute soy paper for the seaweed if that's something you prefer. We've had most of the rolls at this point, and they're all good. “The food was very good, we got sweet and sour chicken combo, crispy beef combo, cheese wonton, pork fried rice and pot stickers. The best items we got were for sure the crispy beef and wonton. Their rice was also unique with lots of good flavor and I would recommend it! My only issues was the sweet and sour. While it was good, it felt older a little. We also got the combination plates for the beef and chicken and we did get the fried rice with it but we did not get the spring roll or the shrimp that should have came with it unfortunately but definitely would try it again.“

I was blown away by how delicious and refreshing the soup base is, they're light, not heavy or oily, and is made in-house. The veggies and meats are fresh and taste amazing. My sausages were cut into shapes of tiny octopus which was adorable. The sauce station, snacks, and the free rice are an added bonus as well.

I've stopped by once every other week, even when as the weather gets warmer. This is such a great spot and a hidden gem!“

“I come here very often, and I honestly think it’s much better than Paik’s Noodle in Korea. Everything on the menu is delicious, including the jjajangmyeon, jjamppong, sweet and sour pork, and stir-fried jjajangmyeon. The owner and staff are always so friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit a great experience. I highly recommend this place!“

My friend recommended this place to me and it didn’t disappoint. Not only were they able to accommodate me right before their closing time, the owner was super friendly and nice to give me extra water for free. However, the delivery of orders was a bit chaotic with several plates coming to us that we didn't order while our orders were AWOL. It was hot , fresh and way above our expectations. The cream cheese wontons were fantastic- definitely not the frozen ones we’ve had elsewhere. We both highly recommend Mountain City!!“

“The food is great at Janbo but I’d really like to talk about the SERVICE! I came in with my family a few nights ago. We were a large party and had 2 kids under 2 with us. They were SO ACCOMIDATING! The restaurant was very clean, which was great for our little explorers. Our server brought us suckers and yogurt for the kids, and was so patient and understanding of our chaos. We WILL be back!!“

“Delicious food, quick service with a smile. We had the rare beef and brisket pho, ginger chicken (the chunks of fresh ginger were so good), and 2 caramel black milk tea (one with boba). Parking is plentiful, the seating area is clean, and I loved the ocean reef video that played while we were there. Be sure to read alllll the menus before ordering, as there are two on the side walls that I initially missed.“

“This place is so so so under rated! It's a hidden gem for delicious Chinese food. The lemon chicken is delicious, so is the sesame chicken. The sesame chicken is done different than anywhere else I've ever seen, but it is so good! It's not just dumped in a fryer and smothered in sauce.

Like they always say; an Asian restaurant that looks a little run-down on the outside is usually run by authentic owners who specialize in their own home-style dishes.
The customer service while I waited for my over-the-phone order was phenomenal. The nice lady chatted with me while I waited, and there was only one other person inside before me.
Inside, it looks like your typical Asian fast takeout spot. But once you smell and taste the food, prepare to be blown away.
For the price, you can’t beat their:

Overall, this place is now our number one spot for Asian takeout in the West Valley/Taylorsville area. If you’re on the fence about where to eat, go here—you’ll feel like a regular even on your first visit.

“A friend of mine from Hong Kong recommended this place to me and said it’s the most legit Chinese food in the valley and he wasn’t lying! I ordered the fried rice and added the roast pork and it was incredible! The pork was top quality and was delightfully crispy on top! Best fried rice I’ve had in Utah! My husband ordered the basic fried noodle and it was like boring hot pasta salad (spaghetti noodles) and didn’t taste fried. I would pass on that dish, but the fried rice was great!“

“Love this place! I travel a lot and had to move away, but I always take my family back here every time I'm in town. Food is delicious, my husband loves it and my kids overeat. Our favorite savory dishes are Sesame Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Spicy Pepper Beef. Side dishes such as vegetable fried rice, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, and cream cheese wontons are very basic but they are made well. I really took it for granted when I was living there. Now the next best place is in New York.“

“This place is for sushi because the Chinese food disappointed. We tried a couple of rolls that were delicious and this is the only reason why they got 4 stars. The shrimp dish seemed like a mix of bad seasoned shrimp with unsalted egg drop soup. The Kung pan was weird with unexpected veggies and little flavor. The tiny spicy chicken had way too much coloring and little flavor. They packed everything into one bag and things were smashed. A second bag would have been better.“

I really like how proud the chefs are of their food. I translates over to the meals. I would love to try the ribs and the friend chicken.“

Their prices are now up where others are and their food is still good. Their combination plates are a good choice and come with an egg roll and rice. Try their soup.
