Red Fuego - Cold food and super slow service:
My friend and I went to the Provo location for takeout. I was a long time fan of this restaurant. After my friend got his food and many others before me and over 30 minutes of waiting, I asked the cashier to check on my order. The cooks had forgotten to make my order. I was going to ask for a refund and go elsewhere, but they said it would take 3 more minutes. The restaurant had a few people inside and a few people ordering...read full review

Red Fuego Charbroiled Chicken serves very good Peruvian food. The food is fresh and hot, with the chicken perfectly done, fat, and juicy with crispy, blackened skin. The sauces are excellent, and the avocados are perfectly ripened. Popular meals include the Pollo a la Brasa, Lomo Saltado, and Huancaina Fettucine (which came with steak instead of chicken as a happy mistake, and was delicious). The black beans are great, and they have Inca cola, an odd drink to try at least once. The service is great, with a clean table and helpful suggestions. However, one visit had a long 40-minute wait in a freezing restaurant, with soggy, overcooked Yuca. Another visit found the food bland, with an understaffed team, out of many menu items, and a completely wrong order. Despite these off days, many customers love Red Fuego and return often.
