“Exactly the kind of Indian place you want. Not fancy or overpriced, but elegant and well priced prepared curries and other classic dishes. There are so many trendy and hyper-stylized Indian places in DC, but if you’re looking for a comforting curry with great service, don’t look any further! Can’t recommend this great neighborhood spot highly enough.“

“Dinner at Herbivore Indian Cuisine was fantastic! Every dish had an authentic, homemade flavor. We loved the crispy Samosa Chaat and tender Chicken Pakora to start.
The Butter Chicken was rich, creamy, and perfectly buttery, while the Vegetable Biryani was fragrant and packed with spiced veggies and crunchy fried onions. The Lamb Vindaloo delivered bold, balanced heat with melt-in-your-mouth lamb.
Generous portions, fresh flavors, and friendly service make this a true DC favorite for both veg and non-veg cravings!“

“Food was great. Overall satisfied with the meal. Wait staff was quick and friendly. Worth a visit. Only way it could be improved is to have citronella candles on the table. There are no candles on the tables outside. Be sure to tip generously!“

“We enjoyed the chicken curry, the paneer tikka masala, the non-veg thali, garlic naan, chai tea, mint mojito, galub jamun and kheer. We were visiting DC, and the food was so good we came in a second night. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff and owner very professional and personable. Highly recommend.“

“I dined there third day after opening about a year ago. I knew they were going to make it - absolutely delicious food from recipes from the mother of the owners - it is well attended at dinner time, they don't take reservations. Excellent service, price and great food.“

“Our feelings are a bit mixed about this restaurant. On the plus side, the crab appetizer and the baby eggplant dish were fantastic and unique. The service was friendly and attentive. The ingredients in all the dishes seemed very fresh (we did have a long wait between appetizer and main meal, which we think meant one dish at least was freshly made as the restaurant was not too busy). On the less positive side, the lamb vindaloo was good but not superb, as was the bhindi, and the raita was bland. The cocktails, quite watery, were disappointing. We will come another day for the lunch thalis.“

“The people working there are so pleasant and kind. The food is delicious and plentiful portions. I had leftovers. The best Indian food I've ever had. Everything was fresh. The music they played was Indian and I really enjoyed it. Would definitely return. My only request would be if they served Coke Zero, but definitely not a big deal that they don't. I had the spinach and onion fritters and they were so good and the garlic Naan is too. My daughter had the chicken vindaloo and her boyfriend had the butter chicken. I had Kadhai with vegetables and paneer. Wonderful!“

“Would highly recommend this place. Amazing customer service and amazing food quality. The parking across the street 2 hour free is super confusing. if you don’t press a button your car gets towed and the instructions to press that button are hidden it’s like they want you to get towed. Our car got towed and had to pay $210. The manager of this store was kind enough to take us in his car and drive us to the place the car was parked. Overall Would recommend this place over and over again.“

“The most delicious, authentic Indian food served by a most gracious gentleman. The Nan, of which there are several choices, was warm and buttery. The homemade cheese was exceptionally delicious. Another diner had butter chicken and was raving at how tender the chicken was. And the samosas were wonderful. Everything at our table was a 10 out of 10. “Absolute BEST Indian food in the area, and we've tried a lot of places. Take out servings are very generous, can serve at least 2 people each. Pick up area is in the back which is a little awkward to walk through the fancy dining area in your pjs, but worth it.“

“We found raaga by accident and ever since it has been our favorite local Indian restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious! I end up ordering 4-5 dishes so that we will have leftovers and the naan is better than anywhere else we’ve been. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint“

“Me & my family had a fantastic experience at Bollywood Bistro in the Ballston Quarter food court. It is easily one of the best spots in the area for a quick yet high-quality meal.
We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was spot on:
Bombay Shrimp: Perfectly seasoned and a great start to the meal.
Chicken Seekh Kebab: Juicy, flavorful, and charred just right.
Lamb Bowl: Tender meat with a great balance of spices—very filling!
Chicken Biryani: Fragrant and authentic, exactly what you want in a good biryani.
Beyond the food, the staff were very courteous and nice, making the whole experience even better. If you’re at Ballston Quarter and craving Indian food that actually packs a punch, this is the place to go!“
“I work right across the street and my coworkers and I order food from here constantly! The chicken tikka masala is better than I’ve ever had, butter chicken is also amazing. The food is always fresh and amazing! Great grocery selection too.“

“Aditi Goumet is a nondescript small restaurant in Vienna. People can easily miss it as it is in a small strip mall at the edge of Vienna. But, it is a hidden gem. Aditi Gourmet has the best-tasting chicken biryani, the best-tasting goat curry, and the best-tasting okra (“bhindi”) masala in Fairfax County. I recommend it highly.“

“Every Saturday and Sunday Dishes of India has a delightful buffet. Many people love India and when it comes to ordering food, a buffet is perfect. Two varieties of dahl today as well as chicken, meats and eggplant. The food is tasty and if you are missing India this is a wonderful place to eat. Delicious! My favorite part was the marsala tea. It smells delicious and provides comfort in a busy world 🌎 Dishes of India is impeccably CLEAN. Beautiful pink tablecloths and extra clean restrooms provide extra assurance that it's well worth the steps down to the lower level for a wonderful eating cuisine experience.“

“A friend and I shared a nice lunch at Taj of India on May 13, 2026. The food was absolutely delicious. I tried the lamb panat for the first time and was very nicely surprised. It will be a new favorite. The service was also excellent and very attentive. Despite being on a busy street the outside tables worked out well. The inside seating is very peaceful. Can warmly recommend.“

“We had dinner here last night and it was amazing! We had goat biriyani, beef teheri, lamb rogan josh and mango lassi. Each dish had its own sauce, and spices, which are different from others, unlike some other restaurants which made some dishes taste the same. It was during Ramadan, so the restaurant was packed after sundown. The prices were reasonable. The owner was friendly. Would return to try out other dishes!“

“While exploring Springfield and the surrounding neighborhoods, I came across a Pakistani spot that feels like a genuine slice of home. From the traditional desi food including chane, paaye, chicken qourma, to the sweets, everything looked incredible, but the Chane and Naan stole the show—absolutely authentic!
It was great to see such a diverse crowd enjoying the food, too. For a moment, I honestly forgot I wasn't in Pakistan. To all my desi friends: if you happen to be in town, this is a must-visit! 🇵🇰🥘“
