“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We finally made it to SB’s Love Shack and WOW — what an absolute gem. It’s a smaller café, so when it’s cold there can be a short wait and limited indoor seating (no reservations), but it totally makes sense for the size. When the weather’s warm, they have a large patio. They’re open 9–2, and the staff was so warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The décor is super unique with a total RVA vibe. The food was unreal. I had the Glitter on a Mattress (Texas toast with bacon & sausage gravy, a side of bacon, and edible glitter ✨) and it was SO good — and huge. We also tried the French toast with flavored fruit cream and a breakfast sandwich, and everything was amazing. Parking is limited in the front, but there’s plenty around the back and an easy walk-up through a covered patio area. Great food, great service, fun atmosphere. Highly recommend — can’t wait to go back. 💕🍳✨“

“Today had outstanding service from McKinley. She was friendly, outgoing and helpful. The cooks delivered a great breakfast, the chicken was hot and crispy. Everything was top notch. I've eaten in many Maple Streets and the food has always been good but the staff this morning were on point.“

“What's not to love about pancakes, crepes, waffles, and French toast. They're all delicious but I have never had cold brew so bad in my life which is why I had to give 4 stars. It was black but somehow tasted like cheese. I don't understand. Regular coffee is fine, it's just the cold brew that tastes strange. Go there but never order cold brew.“

“It was a pretty busy when I went, people lined up inside to get out of the cold. The staff handled it really well and it seemed like tables were prepped and food came out really quickly. But the reason I'm writing this review is because of our server, Emmanuel! Even with how busy things were, he was very kind and outgoing. We came for my nephews birthday, so he gave all the kids hats and brought 3 other staff over to sing!

I read another review before going and someone mentioned Emmanuel being top notch. When our server first came to the table, I only thought to check his name tag after he started talking with us. Sure enough, same Emmanuel at our table. Seriously, he's probably the best server I've EVER had at any restaurant. Give that man a raise! Oh, the food was good too, especially the eggs. Gotta figure out how they do it.“
