4 Best Chicken Restaurants near Ashland

“In the crowded fast food chicken arena there are quite a few competitors. It might seem hard to stand out from the others. I know I catch myself hitting Chick-fil-A probably more than I really need to if I'm craving some chicken strips or a chicken sandwich.

Hangry Joe's is a nice departure with a unique couple of twists to their menu. First, all the food is made to order, which adds a level of freshness and taste you don't get at most other chicken places. 2nd, the chicken is really good, quality breast meat with a distinctive spice level that can be ordered to suit your taste preference. 3rd, the fries are really good, better than C-F-A if that's a base line standard. The slaw and pickles are legit good if you like those items on your sandwich or as a side.

Did I mention, they've got waffles and little funnel stick fries if you want some sweet to go with your heat?

About the only thing I can say that Chick-fil-A has them beat on is the napkins at Chick-fil-A are much nicer. And I guess the drinks and shakes might be the only menu items that are better at Chick-fil-A.

I definitely recommend Hangry Joe's for that chicken fix. Dine in or bring it home, don't try to eat in your car. It's messy. Better napkins would help. LOL

“This is my go to location and let me tell you..... I LOVEEEEE THIS STAFF 🫶🏼 Specifically Ms. Lolita & Ms. Erin (I could be spelling her name wrong so if you see this, I'm sorry 😂) --- these 2 ladies are the most well trained employees, the nicest people, and are SO SWEET & FUNNY ♥️♥️ I swear if it weren't for them, I don't think I'd care about which CFA I go to 😂 but they keep me coming back!!! ♥️ if I could personally rate them 100 stars each, I would!! ⭐️“
