“Hello, I just went through the drive-through to get sweet tea for my wife and two-year-old son. As I pulled into the parking lot, the woman at the podium handing out receipts gave me a dirty look, possibly because of my loud exhaust. I proceeded to the line to order my beverage, and while I waited, she handed receipts to the two cars in front of me but stared at me and my car with the same look. She didn’t offer me a receipt, which my wife needs to scan for points on an app that helps us financially. I had to ask for one when I got to the window to pick up my drink. I noticed this number on the receipt, which belongs to the operator, Jason Umberger. I believe the employee may need some coaching on maintaining professionalism and not letting personal judgments affect her behavior at work. As a manager for a company in Virginia that sponsors VCU, the Flying Squirrels, and many others, I understand the importance of professional conduct in the workplace. This was 8/22/23 @ 6:19PM.“

“We’ve been dying to try this place and it is so good! The people working this afternoon were so nice and ready to help us (I had been studying the menu online though, so we knew exactly what we wanted! If you’re not sure though, they are more than willing to help), and the food was delicious and substantially portioned. The salsa bar to dress things up is amazing, but everything was incredible even without it. I got all the vegetarian stuff and I can’t wait to try more. My husband got the chicken mole on the bone and a pork guiso and now he’s fantasizing about catering a party from here because it is so homey and tastes so comforting. We went with the platillo medio option to try 2 guisos each, and with that we had leftovers, which is great for breakfast or lunch tomorrow. I will say the spicy stuff wasn’t very spicy if you like some heat, but it’s all seasoned really nicely. Corn tortillas were great, and they seemed super conscientious about that for gf guests. Definitely lives up to the hype!“

“It's been a few years since I visited El Caporal in person. We were hungry after going downtown for a doctor's appointment so we decided to have dinner out.

This is such a great little restaurant. Extremely fast service, delicious, fresh food. Mom ordered a taco salad, I got #4 and requested the verde sauce which is amazing. The folks across from us ordered a great looking dessert before leaving, and we were jealous of the margarita ordered by the gentleman who took the table. Sadly we don't drink these days but lots of great looking cocktails were going by.

Chips were fresh and warm, salsa and white sauce were fresh.

$38 for the two of us with tip, two entrees and a diet Pepsi.

“What a gem! We had the currywurst and a hot Italian sausage with mushrooms and cheese. Both were absolutely delicious. salad was refreshing and perfectly dressed. One of the best meals I have ever had. We were even able to get some packaged meat to go. The staff were so helpful and kind. Get one of everything!“

“Just went by to pick up my lox bagel on the way to work, was greeted by such a nice staff.
The Ac also felt amazing.

I arrived at work, and took the first bite, and went straight to heaven. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The lox was not fishy, just yummy and smooth, and the cucumbers had the perfect crunch and a bit of lemon and olive oil on top. YUM!!!!

Highly recommend, also The Elana with smoked chicken & feta, my go to!“

“The food is AMAZING. Our group had vegetarians in our group, picky eaters, and a food enthusiast. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. BEYOND SAUSAGE was perfectly cooked, eggs were so yellow and fluffy, pimento cheese on a jalepeno cheddar bagel OMG. Everything was thoughtfully seasoned, generous portions, polite service, super fresh. It was an amazing and really cool experience!!! You can walk through their market then grab food. It truly had lump crab and lobster in the omelette some omelettes when you deal with seafood are skimpy with the crab and lobster, but hands-down Lulu was one of the best and their omelette was truly well done sometimes omelettes are not cooked all the way through. “Went through the Drv thru line after 5pm . The line wasn't bad. I placed my order for the #1 Chicken sandwich combo plus a brownie. The line moved well until I got to the window. Several times I was asked my name and people behind me got their orders. Finally a new server asked what I ordered and at first he wasn't sure of my name. Then he brought me a bag for BRAD. Correct order but my name is LARRY. I expect better from Chick-fil-A, the food was good when I finally got it.“

We got 3 chicken alfredo and one seafood alfredo. The soup and salad we got before the main course was delicious. Especially the vegan soup, that is yummy. The main course came out quick and hot. “Our lunch is simple, but very well done. My burger was cooked as requested. The brioche bun was toasted wonderfully and I selected my side as a side salad, which was plentiful with beautiful fresh blueberries. Put the star of the lunch was definitely the tarragon chicken salad! Oh, my! Flavors were incredible, and it just had its own umami to it! Highly recommend. I don’t wanna forget we had two cappuccinos that were beautifully prepared and presented with options of whole oat and almond milk.
For only being open a year, they’re doing great and I hope they continue. Richmond definitely needs a nice spot down by the river.“
